Wow, a fairly accurate scene (relatively speaking, compared to other Mover-analysed clips) coming from Michael Bay? Then again, action and explosions are what Bay does best, I suppose.
For me the primary reason I come for the Transformers movies is for the military bits, and you're right: straight chills during the Strike Package scenes. Unfortunately they just start to slack more and more after the first one.
As a former ARMY RANGER. The brrrrrtttt From an A-10 close air supports. Is the best sound in the world. Also calling attack direction, some controllers will give the aircraft 9 line.
Or you just compare the movie with the actual footage of the helicopters going down. The P3 Orion that was circling overhead in 93 got it on video and it was released to the public.
One of my favorite scene in Transformers. Unloading bombs and lead on that Scorpion. And as Lemoine said, gives you chills when they were about to start the strike.
What's funny about the Raptor scene is just a few minutes earlier, the soldiers see a Raptor diving through buildings and are like "Wait, our planes don't go that low, its not one of ours!" and sure enough, its Starscream doing an ambush.
Mover may not actually see this, but my previous aerospace professor is a retired Colonel for the USAF. Believe it or not, the AWAC crew in the movie was his crew. He talked about it one day in class. Pretty cool watching the movie now, knowing that information! So yes! The crew is 100% legit!
I will say though, other than the brrrt issue, that scene in the desert with the AWACS calling in the strike was probably my favourite part of the movie.
The best part of having an A-10 on station is the earth shattering impact you hear before the “BRRRTT” comes through. Pure destruction and it is NOT gentle in the least lol
Mover can you look at the fighter scenes in transformers “the last night” and there’s a dozen fighter scenes throughout the franchise Michael loves the airforce. Thanks mover! Great vid
I love how honest you are about this. You call out the bs, but you praise the stuff you like, that’s awesome man! I believe in the commentary to the movie they actually say that the people on the AWACS is actual military personnel, so you nailed that one! Just received the first of your books today, can’t wait to read it! Stay safe!
Michael Bay knew what he wanted with the AWACS scene and just let the Military Personnel make it sound real. And apparently, Sabot rounds were the only human ammunition capable of damaging the Deceptions.
Yes you are right about the AWACs crew, they were all active duty airmen on leave because it was easy and they didn't have to come up with lines for them, they just let them do their thing. They were already renting the plane, so might as well rent the crew also. And on the F-22s flying below buildings, Eps literally says that in the movie after Starscream attacks them. "F22 pilots would never fly below building, that thing is alien, that ain't friendly!" But what I think is kinda weird is wouldn't the F-22 pilots think a single F-22 forming up with them out of nowhere is kinda odd?
Interesting info: the E-3 shown was one from the 552nd Air Control Wing, you can barely see the shield in the cockpit at 11:12. Been waiting for someone to break down these scenes though. Great video!
Lol, after all the times I've seen this, I never picked up that when the general says "give in a call to the nearest AWAC"... The threat isn't airborne.
I was in that first Transformer movie. And yes, I've posted it before. This movie relied heavily on actual mil dudes...except the ones shooting at the -53 when it transformed...most cvies who couldn't even hold a rifle correctly. Right at 4:04 in your video, as the Hog pilot is climbing up his ladder, I am the blur below him as the camera is panning right. I was with two Pavehawk crews (a/c 90-26224 & 227) from DM. We can also be seen from the bare-base tower, in the part before this, as the -53 is landing (at Holloman AFB). We were in lawn chairs next to our Pave helos and are silhouetted by the setting sunlight, and I thin I was sitting on the rotorhead watching it all... I used to have video I took of the first -53 used, as it approached the base, then powered up and flew away for another approach to landing. Lost it over the years. That was a long day...with mil pay AND Hollywood Extra pay. They filmed me on the tail pylon for more than 30 minutes turning blades, to use as filler footage. It all ended up on the cutting room floor. It's cool to see this and remember all that went into the filming.
This is actually one of my most favorite movies of all time. Yea i said it. Anyway during the behind the scenes special, Michael bay said he likes to work with real military personnel to get as much authentic military talk and assets as possible. obviously not everything can be shown or replicated due to classified info, but I do like how they try to keep it as realistic as possible.

This movie is 13 years old and the SFX are still amazing don't you think?
True, except for that GAU 8 sound in the film which disappoints me.9
Wow, a fairly accurate scene (relatively speaking, compared to other Mover-analysed clips) coming from Michael Bay? Then again, action and explosions are what Bay does best, I suppose.
I lost it at "just wipe it with a cloth". Hillarious.

LOVE the A-10 scene...and I did see behind the scenes that it was real AWAC people in that scene. They also had real A-10s fly overhead.
Love your videos MOVER, just finished the first SPECTRE book and cant wait to get into the second one!
For me the primary reason I come for the Transformers movies is for the military bits, and you're right: straight chills during the Strike Package scenes.
Unfortunately they just start to slack more and more after the first one.
The sound of the blades chopping the air though is pretty nice
"Those tanks aren't going to be in good condition after this."
Tank: Lands on group of soldiers
Mover: "Oooh"
Just imagine the "Brrrrrrt" in that moment, chills only
As a former ARMY RANGER. The brrrrrtttt From an A-10 close air supports. Is the best sound in the world. Also calling attack direction, some controllers will give the aircraft 9 line.
"The rotor blades sound.. evil" 😂😂😂
4:00 "Roll in Strike Package Bravo". ... CW: "Dude Thats awesome... Gives you chills". Took the words right out of my mouth
Reviewing the scene of the black hawk helicopter going down would be a good video. “Black Hawk Down”
I feel like there's some movies that are kind of off limits. Mover Ruins Movies is more of a lighthearted take on things, Blackhawk Down is not that.
@@foxw875 Pretty sure that's up to Mover to decide.
Scorponok*
Any plans to actually do this on Top Gun (the 80's one)?
It's currently blocked for copyright. Waiting for that to clear. Gonky and I did that one together in two parts.
@@CWLemoine Come on Mover review" Flight of Back Angel" you can find the movie for free on RUclips
C.W. Lemoine sweet! Thanks for the reply
@ogre1074 tomacts???
What's funny about the Raptor scene is just a few minutes earlier, the soldiers see a Raptor diving through buildings and are like "Wait, our planes don't go that low, its not one of ours!" and sure enough, its Starscream doing an ambush.
Never been this early, also since it’s a Michael Bay film there will be a lot of explosions
That was an actual E-3 AWACS crew. Some of those guys were in my squadron.
I’m so glad I’m not the only that gets chills from this
Mover may not actually see this, but my previous aerospace professor is a retired Colonel for the USAF. Believe it or not, the AWAC crew in the movie was his crew. He talked about it one day in class. Pretty cool watching the movie now, knowing that information! So yes! The crew is 100% legit!
1st to ask how long does it take to microwave a 25 lbs turkey
4 hours.
Aviation Gaming1564 maybe around 8 and half minutes depends on your set heat
after a while the door will pop open and fire or gravy will spray out, that's when you know it's done, just run it till then.
Was a radar tech on an antps-75 radar not even 1 revolution yes it was done
I will say though, other than the brrrt issue, that scene in the desert with the AWACS calling in the strike was probably my favourite part of the movie.
Could you do the scene with the B-1 & the F-16s towards the end of the second movie?
Like how the AWACS in that movie clears them to use a 2,000 lb bomb and the B-1 ends up dropping a bunch of 500 lb ones? lol
The best part of having an A-10 on station is the earth shattering impact you hear before the “BRRRTT” comes through. Pure destruction and it is NOT gentle in the least lol
Loved the bleaching comment you sir are true American Patriot.
The dead pan delivery too. I laughed!
Thanks again Mover !! Another great installment. And YES ! The REAL GAU-8 sound should have been used !!
Mover can you look at the fighter scenes in transformers “the last night” and there’s a dozen fighter scenes throughout the franchise Michael loves the airforce. Thanks mover! Great vid
lol! There was another "night" that came right after.
I love how honest you are about this. You call out the bs, but you praise the stuff you like, that’s awesome man! I believe in the commentary to the movie they actually say that the people on the AWACS is actual military personnel, so you nailed that one! Just received the first of your books today, can’t wait to read it! Stay safe!
"I love this part"
actual training footage appears
I'm a maintainer on the ac130s. The 105mm is literally an artillery gun, the fastest reloading crew we've ever had was about 10 rounds a minute
"They ruined the brrrr" Saddest moment tbh.
Never apologize for ruining movies. I actually laughing throughout this video how you react to inaccuracy of films. It's a relief for me.
The solution to everything: BRING THE BRRRRRRTTTTT
Michael Bay knew what he wanted with the AWACS scene and just let the Military Personnel make it sound real.
And apparently, Sabot rounds were the only human ammunition capable of damaging the Deceptions.
No BRRRRRRRT, no movie.
Asking a warthog to confirm visual is like asking Stevie Wonder to check out your fancy new paintjob details.
“LEFT CHEEK LFET CHEEK”
Earn that paycheck Tyrese!
React to Man of Steel’s Smallville fight. I think they got the sound of the gun right
Interesting info: the E-3 shown was one from the 552nd Air Control Wing, you can barely see the shield in the cockpit at 11:12. Been waiting for someone to break down these scenes though. Great video!
I know live action transformers is a pretty shit franchise but I'll always love the first one
Lol, after all the times I've seen this, I never picked up that when the general says "give in a call to the nearest AWAC"... The threat isn't airborne.
Loving the ‘Hillary’ comment
😂🤙🏾
That's because it's fun, awesome and probably a class now, and they were trying to get people to actually join the military in real life
"I'm in your base kill your dudes" Smh
"Thats not the BRRRRRRT" you can hear the disappointment
Michael Bay is such a phenomenal director. He should teach all other directors how to make a film.
