Congratulations on your new knife Come a long way since the days of being in Tuff Thumbs garage with Gavco and the gang Loved those videos of Tuff making scales then making his first folder awesome
I also remember the days when TuffThumbs was doing mods for RUclips viewers from his garage. I haven't had a Jim Skelton video recommended for at least five years now, but back in the day he was the biggest knife reviewer on RUclips. At some point, all the knives he reviewed were $1000 minimum and they became much less interesting to me. I like to see a high quality custom as much as the next guy, but if that's all you're showing me, I'm going to lose interest -- and I did. Also, he used to be on one of those QVC home shopping shows shilling watches, and his RUclips channel started to come across like one of those QVC shilling channels. Shame really, because in the early days, his channel was great.
Looks dope, Jim! I just got my first Mechforce, the Kilby Shard, and I'm thoroughly impressed with the fit and finish and overall quality. Definitely a company that's on my radar now 👍🏻 and I'm digging your new collab!
Congratulations on the collaboration with mech...your design on this knife is Amazing..you mentioned in the org post that theses are limited run. So does that mean that thier will be no more manufactured ofter the Drop?
I like how it looks different, and hiding the flipper is a legit idea... People like different.. in your opinion it looks funny. I think it looks cool.
Very nice man , been waiting to see you release some folders its a cool thing to see . I wanna see a video of you sharpening that baby on some japanese stones. Beautiful finishing work. That red and black one ------ohhhhhh
I picked a black and red 1 just now, wish i could get it with the stonewashed blade...that should have been an option i feel like. let me know if you can do a blade swap big Jim! maybe?🙃i do love that clean shinny blade though, think ill just keep it as is,.
I have two Caladan knives (white blue CamoCarbon and black frag DLC) and Scaphoid knife, and really enjoy those - well built and fun to use and carry. The new Hellraiser looks great - very premium - would love to add one to the collection down the road.
@@robt.6707 Thank you Rob, I appreciate you and I’m glad you’re enjoying all of those knives! This will be a much more limited run, not nearly as many knives being made, so I hope there will be one available when you’re ready to buy!
I love the design and have followed your work for a while! All the way back to buying and loving the Reate Tibia. I just have to say that I would 100% buy the blackout one if it just had a pure DLC blade.... Idk why but blackwash is always a big turnoff for me, just an opinion. To me it cheapens it or something, just an opinion. Man I just wish that blackout hellraiser had a polished or flat DLC blade.
The Tashi was my first experience with Mechforce, definitely an impressive showing of what they can do. Will any be going to retailers or will they only be available on your site?
Damn... how do you sharpen a recurve? that looks tricky, but what a sick design. I'm going to try for that mars valley CF. First knife without a hole I'm interested in
@@ttattx I use a 1” platen and belt. It’s easier to get inside the recurve. Don’t try to use a consumer grade sharpening kit to do this unless they make a convexed stone. I’m sorry, I’m not doing any in the Mars Valley. Only the 4 choices shown in the video.
@JimSkeltonKnives Ok. Imo boring flipper tap and ugly thumb studs, disk are 🤮. I'm one of the fews who won't buy a knife unless it has a front flipper LoL
So but this in your hand you are showing here is this the mini? Or the full size? 3.8 or 3.5 inch is this the difference? I mean everything below 4 inch blade is a smaller type of knife anyways.
Yes but, as I was talking about, both sizes play smaller than they are. I carry a lot of 3.5” blades and the Hellraiser felt significantly smaller at that size. This fullsize plays more like a 3.5”.
Excellent Jim , those are awesome, 🙏🫡
I'll be getting the blackout, but the black wash with the lava inlays would've been so good imo. Good stuff brother
This is absolutely your sickest one yet!! Well done dude! 👍💯
That blade shape is just so badass
@@ulchfirgne Thank you. It’s my personal favorite as well. I’m running free shipping for a limited time, so grab one if you like it 👍
@JimSkeltonKnives do you ever ship to Canada?
@@ulchfirgneCanada will confiscate and prosecute. I wish I could.
@JimSkeltonKnives me too man! Me too
So glad that you have this outlet to put your talents to use. I just got a custom that def used the Begg ball. Now I know where it came from
I regret not discovering your channel sooner. Congrats on having your design realised
That's a Beautiful knife Jim. Great Job! I'm getting the Lava Flow version.

These are badass! I should have bought one of those black/red models before they sold out. 🙉
Grab a regular Lava Flow. You’ll be amazed. But do it soon because those will be sold out next. Stock is super low
If you made it Flipper only it would have been a piece of Trash. Now it's a Work of Art. Well done Jim.
That's DOPE AF 😎
Will order 🎉🎉
Looks good. But still has that funny look from hiding the flipper, if it had a more vertical flipper design I think it would look a bit better imo.

Got to have thumb studs on the mini.
Badass! Looks like a good companion for my sebenza.

The hellhound from Microtech looks more evil than the hellraiser
Needs them on mini more options to open the better
SICK!
Thank you for having the balls to put a proper backspacer on your design so sick of tiny ass rinkydink size backspacers
If you had a black and red handled 1 with black blade I would buy it, I would have to buy 2 and swap blades.
