  • Here's the rest of the crane footage from part 15. You'll recognize a lot of the parts but this will give you a better view of the low roofs getting dried in and a lot more of the wall framing too. I'm usually able to get these out on Sunday but it was a extra hectic week and I had a welding job to finish and get sent off :-) Thanks for watching.

Boy me too Robert! It's a funny thing tho, You use it every single day until you top out and then it just sit's there kind of in the way and that's where i'm at now until the windows show up. Still plenty to do, just don't need the crane. See you thursday!

You bet Paul, I just started saving for part 18 I think and that will include a scaffolding crew starting to get set up so i'll film as much of that as I can and try for some good angles. It's getting tougher to film the pickup work and I have to think about it a bit more but I'm thinking we will get to part 20 and that will be that until special projects time like handrails and stuff which we will add in later in the summer. See you on thursday!

I live in a house with lots of angled corners. It looks cool from the outside. On the inside it totally sucks.

We used to frame a ton of houses back in the 90's that weren't that big but the entire layout both up and downstairs was at a 45 degree angle to the outside of the house. It was really lame and time consuming to build but it did make it seem way bigger because you were always walking around corners. Not a fan. This place however doesn't seem to exhibit that same problem. just a minor inside hallway bend and thats it.

What is this project valued at?

Jake, when it's completed what is your estimate of the sale? 1.2M?

Guessing it will start at three times that Ray. There’s a lot of square footage here and it’s challenging lot in a sought after area. I’ll keep you posted tho:)

When you have the crane I can't see what your doing and you run your camera speed way to fas. I like your videos except when the camera is on the crane.

I’m glad you’ve been watching the videos, Tony. The sunday /midweek crane recaps are intended to be only that. I have limited time to edit, and the GoPro that is mounted to the crane only shoots as slow as 1/2 second per frame. Since all of the overhead in the feature length Thursday video comes from the Crane there is quite a bit of overlap and it wouldn’t suit to make a longer slower video out of all the material. Apologies if that’s not what you’re after but I’m working with what I have.

You can slow it down in settings.
