I liked your video. I remember Naples from the 80's. I took an overnight ferry to Palermo from there. I think Italian music in background would connect the viewer emotionally to your great visuals . Best regards.
Happy I stumbled upon this video! Actually, Naples will be our second leg of our Italia 2025 trip. After 5 night in Rome, we'll be taking the Italo train (so far, it's the best deal I could find between them and Trenitalia) to Naples and visit the city, go to Pompeii and/or Herculaneum and the Amalfi Coast. Toledo metro station is a must see for me, an amateur transit photographer.
Thank you for visiting Naples. I think Naples might be intimidating to some tourists due to "The Mafioso" and pick pockets. I'm glad you made a positive video on the city. I've never been there but now I want to go just to try the dessert you had (I forget the name). It looks delicious!
Thanks so much for your kind comments. We LOVE Naples and are happy to try to share some of the best of it. Every city has its plusses and minuses. We think Naples is under-visited and we love sharing what's so wonderful about it! I hope you will try a sfogliatelle when you go! BY the way, I have two other Naples videos on the channel: Naples food tour with Casa Mia: ruclips.net/video/qQ_2KK5VahA/видео.html 2.5 days in Naples: ruclips.net/video/nkDgoGLqdmc/видео.html
Oh that's great! I'm so glad you found my video helpful. Thanks for letting me know and I hope you have a wonderful visit to Naples this summer. Would love to hear from you here in the comments how it went after you go!
@@Romewise Using your guidance a lot as we plan our first trip to Rome(4 days) then over to the east coast (our Japanese ‘daughter’ who homestayed a year with us in Canada and her Italian bf live there) , then over to Naples, etc. Lots of exploring. Wish we’d known about you in 2019 when we were in Venice, Florence and did a 5 day Tuscany walking tour!! You’re a wealth of knowledge and experience. Thanks for sharing.
Btw, you remind me of my friend at work before COVID hit. We used to sit together in a cubical (with 2 other people opposite to us) and she was hilarious. We had the same sense of humour. But after COVID, I left that company and joined different one because I wanted a significant pay rise. I miss our laughs every morning.
My daughter and i are visiting Rome in July for a week and we plan to include a day trip to naples. Where else can she ride on a gondola apart from Venice? That's on her bucket list. I'm not sure we can squeeze in a trip to Venice, probably too time consuming for a day trip. Thanks
The only place I know of where you can ride a real gondola is in Venice. There are many cities throughout Europe where you can ride a kind of canoe-style boat through canals, but there is nothing like Venice. That being said, I think it's quite difficult to take a day trip to Venice from Rome, although it's possible. I always suggest trying to do less than you might think, because logistics have a way of making things take longer and you come away feeling exhausted.
I would definitely take the train. It's much easier and then you don't have the headache of wondering where to park the car. And you won't need a car inside Naples.
This really depends on when you buy your tickets and what kind of ticket you get. You can get some really good deals, like 30€ R/T, but they can go up if you are booking last minute, or booking things like first class or refundable tickets. Check on trenitalia.
I have been to the Amalfi coast but not on this day trip to Naples - there would not be enough time. Please let me know if you are interested in seeing me publish a video about visiting the Amalfi coast from Rome and I'll put it on the list!
Please do a second part of Naples 🥰 such a great video but I would like to dis discover more things to visit in this city..Hopefully we can travel from Spain in summertime. 🙏
Yes, you are correct, pizza was invented in Naples. The Margherita pizza was named after Queen Margherita. It has the colors of the Italian flag - red (tomato), white (mozzarella) and green (basil).
I always appreciate your video offerings. Thanks again.
Thanks as always!

Love Naples. So charged
Yes it is such a great city! I have the best time every time we visit.
Have you ever thought about doing a walking tour videos. Like starting from the Coliseum to another big monument? I think they will be very useful.
Thanks so much! Yes, in fact I have one on the channel - how to get from the Trevi Fountain to the Spanish Steps. I have more planned for 2022!

I’m visiting Rome in a few months and rented a car I’m staying right by the termini , should I use my car to visit Naples or take the train .
I would definitely take the train. It's much easier and then you don't have the headache of wondering where to park the car. And you won't need a car inside Naples.
How much are the tickets from Rome to Napoli, please? Any way to keep it cheap-ish?

Thank you! I actually have a 2.5 days in Naples video in the works....stay tuned!
Pizzeria 900 isn't there anymore...
Oh that's a shame! I'll be making a lot more Naples content this year. Stay tuned...
From memory, napolitana pizza was invented in Naples. I could be wrong here. It might be Florence. I can't remember now. #lmao
From memory, that pizza was named after a queen in Naples or Florence.

@Romewise I remember eating a Margarita pizza in Naples and it was OK🍕 I prefer Hawaiian or Meat Lovers pizzas though
You won't find those here in Italy! :D @@lilpenny1982
Even the Italians think this city is dirty. I was there last Sept, it does have some beautiful place. This is Big Italy 🇮🇹 not little Italy (NY).
Actually we found it to be really clean, for the most part. I think things have improved in recent years!
