Hey Zack! It was very off the cuff and I’m not very good at interviews 😅 Very inspiring skatepark and crew. It’s actually in danger of being demolished in the next year by the city. They want to build a new skatepark in its spot, but obviously it has so much history and blood, sweat, and tears poured into it that it would be such a shame to demo it. It’s also really approachable too! Not everything is wicked gnarly, there’s lots of mellow and fun and small features all over the place and it’s so much more interesting than most of the new parks you see.
It's so sick! I've never seen a DIY as big or impressive as this ever. It's really incredible to see how passionate the scene is in Montreal. Unfortunately, the city wants to demolish it and replace it with a fresh, professionally designed skatepark. BUT they've already got like 15 of those! Also this is right outside a massive indoor action sports park that (presumably) already has perfectly designed ramps. It would be a huge shame to demolish Projet 45, it's an incredibly inspiring piece of skateboarding culture and history. Also, the vibe is so good! Everyone was so cool and friendly and welcoming. Visiting this park really nourished my soul! Thanks for commeting Greybeard!
Good insight from the park volunteer! I would've loved more insight from her without interruptions but nice work.
