  • Use Cervical Decompression in Every Massage Treatment
As a massage therapist, one of the most rewarding aspects of our work is the ability to provide targeted relief to our clients. Today, we're diving into the realm of neck decompression-a powerful technique that can bring immense relief and relaxation to those struggling with neck tension and discomfort.
    Manual Neck Decompression:
Using skillful hands and a deep understanding of the neck's anatomy, we massage therapists can perform manual neck decompression techniques. By employing gentle traction and specific manipulations, we create space between the vertebrae, relieving pressure on the discs and promoting proper alignment. The hands-on approach allows us to customize the technique to each client's unique needs, providing a tailored and effective treatment.
    Tools for Neck Decompression:
In addition to manual techniques, massage therapists can incorporate tools to enhance the effectiveness of neck decompression. Tools such as straps designed for neck decompression or even a rolled up pillowcase can be useful in providing traction to release tension in the neck muscles and gently stretch the cervical spine.
Whether done manually or with the aid of tools, neck decompression is a valuable technique in our massage therapy toolkit. It allows us to address the specific needs of our clients and provide them with much-needed relief from neck-related discomfort.

Ligamentous pain while decompressing cervical spine. Always work at the client/patient's pain tolerance barrier.
