Thanks so much to everyone who takes the time to watch my duckling. It was a lot of fun to do but I must confess I don’t think she will win because she wasn’t really that bad to start with. 😉

I just love your accent. It makes my day. Your pieces had SO much potential hiding under that tired finish. That wood grain!!!! Wow!!! You did such a brilliant job and your craftsmanship is top notch. Thank you so much for saving these!
Thanks so much for your kind words Cory and thanks for hosting the challenge xxxx
I can't tell you how much I appreciate you taking the time to keep the lines clean. This is so impressive. I was thinking the whole time, please don't paint that beautiful wood grain pattern. Love what you did with the stain. You definitely know what you are doing and it shows. Also, as an American, seeing the bird was the coolest thing! I've tried to show our animals here in Wisconsin, USA. I think it is fun to get a glimpse of what others may see in their area. Please try to add more of those things. I just love it. Awesome job on this one. I had to look up "daggy". Barry, Mad City Modern (Madison, Wisconsin, USA)
Oh wow Barry thanks for the kind words I really really appreciate it! 🙏
Finaly, something really simple and beautiful!!!
Thank you xx
It is not only the color and design but the true touch ability of this piece. What a joy to see the life of the area, too. Cat fingers and kookaburra and palms in the sunshine on my rainy day here in Penn's Woods( Pennsylvania). One always wants to stroke a swan, doesn't one?
Best part of my day is always the wild life
Love that white stain! Beautiful color....she is a Swan! Thank you for sharing😊kim
Thanks so much for watching Kim 🙏
Beautiful! And I loved seeing the kookaburra.
Thanks Pam ❤️
Gorgeous work! I also love the kitty and the kookaburra. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Gina ❤️
I’m 62 and I do some furniture repair and painting. Nice to see an older woman doing such great work ! Most I see on RUclips must be in their 20’s . Your stuff is beautiful ! Love your choices . Too many furniture painters do the same thing over and over . You are different and that’s so nice to see. Please keep it original and change things up often. It can get boring real fast . Also appreciate you keeping the chatter at a minimum. While I love to hear what people say I really want to see what you are doing. So thanks for that. Thanks for the Kookaburra .My mom used to sing a song about them but I’d never seen one . Happy to have found you .
Thank you so much for the kind words Deb 🙏😊
Definitely a swan, Di. Just gorgeous. 😍
Aww thanks Tarnya! Xx
❤️
Beautiful. I love the color choices. 🌈🖖🏽💕
Thanks so much 🙏
A swan indeed. Pretty colors!
Thanks Adella😊
Beautiful glazed work,,,,fantastic for country chic,,,
Aww thank you 🙏
Beautiful choice of colors for the table, no longer an only duckling. You do meticulous work. Bravo!
I appreciate your sharing some of your country with the kookaburra shot--I have never seen.one. We sang a kookaburra song long ago in elementary school: "Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree, Merry merry king of the bush is he...."
We used to sing that song in primary school. 😊
We sang that same song!
Wish we had heard him laugh!
I laughed when she said scary Australian spider. White tails scare me. I have a pair of kookaburras living near me. Every day I hear their songs. I just love the sound.
I love those two colors together. It’s perfect. And that stencil really elevates it.
Thanks so much ❤️
Love it ... marvelous!!!
Thank you Isabell 😊
Really enjoyed your video. Lovely job on the"ugly ducking"! Bonus from the cat and especially the black kookaburra!!!! ❤️😊🤞
Haha thanks Julie. I love that you loved the animals.
I love the colors you selected for this piece! It's really unique. I haven't seen anything in that style where I am, so I am glad you chose this piece to redo. Your attention to detail is wonderful!
Aww thanks Emily ❤️
Beautiful job!
Loved the kookaburra and the cat as well!
Thanks Joan 😊🙏
I love the white finish thank you for sharing your talents
Thanks so much 😊
Love the color. Awesome video. Love the bird.
Thank you Selena 🙏
Hi there from sunny Southern California! Love the color and you did such a beautiful paint job! She’s just gorgeous! Love the kookaburra what a sweet gift you got to see him. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much Kellyanne 😊
I like watching your approach!
You seem to be enjoying the process.
You even brought your cup of coffee outside...makes the mood of the session less intense and more fun.
Lol the coffee is never too far away! 🤣
How lovely!
Thank you 😊
Such a unique table & beautiful finish.
Thank you 🙏
Love your vision for this piece! Great job transforming her! She is singing out to be recognized and noticed! Brilliant! Thank you from California, USA!
Thank you so much Deborah 🙏😊
I love the two tone colors. Nicely done 🥰
Thanks Beverly 🙏
I think she turned out awesome ! !
Aww thanks ❤️
TY for sharing the lovely water view, 🌴, ☀️ & rare kookaburra sighting. I like that you kept it real, & admitted the stencil was upside down (those whoopsies happen to us all). The sheer, whitewash & gloss accented the long, lovely wood grain previously hidden under that ugly 70s stain! Flying kitty bonus 😂
Aww thanks for the lovely comment ❤️
Absolutely beautiful
Thank you Janet 🙏
Much better. Well done.
Thanks Genevieve 😊
Love the colors, the stencil and the wildlife.
Thanks so much Ellen 🙏
Beautiful loving the colour
Thanks so much Denise 😊
Beautiful piece Di 😍🦢
Omg that Kookaburra was just magic.. I’ve never seen a black one 💕👍🏽

Great job Di 👏
Thanks Di 🙏
Di!!! I love her. I think I have a whole lot of “old lady” in me. Can’t wait to see what you do.
Thank wood grain 😍 so beautiful Di
Flying cats, black kookaburras 🥰 home 😍
Awww thanks so much ❤️🙏
Very nice piece. The colors are pretty. Good job! 🙂👍
Thanks holly ❤️
Love the flying fur ball, and our aussie wildlife, go aussie, go
How cute is my grand kitty! (My sons cat) xx
I love the green color!!! Not sure what it was used for. Looks like a double wide end table from the 60s. My mom had 2 that were not as wide.
Hi Chris. I think your right. I have two that are half the size too. 😊
I believe it’s a coffee table. They weren’t very large back in the 60’s and 70’s
Painting in white pants!! Rockstar!! 😁 table ended up great!!
🤣 They weren’t white for long! 🤣
I love how it turned out, the colors made it look more modern...she was kind of sad and lonely looking before, you did a lovely job!
Thanks so much Lisa 😊
What a cool-looking bird. I live in Texas so that was a treat to see, love birds. The piece turned out to be very pretty, love the stencil, and the white-washed top.
Thanks so much Patricia 🙏
I like to watch furniture flipping as I drink my morning coffee.
I was zoning to your video and slightly praying. Then you showed that bird. LOL. I only discovered that bird a couple weeks ago, I live in the US.
And when I first discovered it gave me a sense of how strange this planet is. LOL. And I think furniture flipping, aka turning garbage into art is human spirit/goodness/strangeness manifesting into beauty.
What I’m trying to say with a bunch of hippie dippy words, is thank you for giving us these videos, it’s about more than just the end product of the furniture, at least for me and I think a lot of us.
I love the green🥰
Thanks so much for your lovely words and I’m so glad that everyone has enjoyed the bird so much. 😊
She certainly looks refreshed! Love the kookaburra; being in the US I think this the first one I have seen up close! Great and lovely transformation.
Thanks so much Linda. I’m glad you enjoyed the kookaburra ❤️
So beautiful!!
Thanks very much Jeanne 🙏
Excellent job. Love the white stain with your paint color choice. Stencil was just the right touch too.
Thanks so much Christine 😊
A true labor of love. Well done!
Thanks so much 🙏
Hermoso!!! Me encanta cuando dejan ver las vetas de la madera y ése acabado blanquecino!
Thanks so much ❤️
I remember my Grandmother having one of these in her bedroom at the foot of her bed.
This piece did look dated, last century, but I didn't consider it an ugly duckling. The paint job you did on it really did make it look like it should be in this century. 2 thumbs up!
Thanks so much 😊
Cats AND birds - whatta woman!!!
Beautiful!
Thanks Patti 😊
Very cute!
Thanks Steph ❤️
Beautiful transformation, the kookaburra is amazing
Thanks Dianne ❤️
Love it!
Thank you Robin 🙏
I would have had paint in my “cuppa” and lip marks on the side of my paint container! 😂
I had to check myself several times to stop this very thing from happening! 🤣🤣🤣
She is definitely a swan ...Came out GORGEOUS ❤️
Thanks so much Debra ❤️
Really beautiful Diane
Aww thanks Tarynne xx

Thanks so much 😊
Love, especially the stained tops
Thanks Louise
Oh she is indeed a swan, just gorgeous 😍🤩 and I can totally understand getting distracted by the adorable black Kookaburra and thanks for sharing it’s the first time I’ve seen one ☺️ 🌷💖
I was sooo excited about the Kooka! He hung around for most of the day! We have a family of magpies we feed and he caught my hubby feeding the magpies then just swooped on down for some lunch! I feel so special to have seen him.
Thanks so much Melissa 😻😻😻
@@Refurrbys you may end up with a new family member ☺️💖
I love what you did to this table....love the critters too 👍

Simply an amazing job!
Thanks Jeff 😊🙏
A beautiful Swan. It's an Ethan Allen coffee table. That Early American style was very popular in the '70's maybe late '60's. It was before MDF and laminate. Ethan Allen still makes high end furniture.
Love your work. I'm now a subscriber thanks to Rochelle at Mannow Lane recommendation.
Thanks so much for the info Mary! I’m off to have a look at his furniture now xx
Rochelle is a total treat to watch!
Looks great! I like the color combination.
