I've been wanting to attempt these legs for a long while. although I do love painting I actually enjoy building and refinishing much more. started doing it when we bought our first home and I wanted to furnish with vintage mcm furniture but couldn't afford pristine ones so I thrifted and learned to refinish my own.
Can I just say, "WOWZA!!!" Talk about inspiring. You went beyond the average flipping by painting that many do and really customized/pimped out this piece. I am amazed by this transformation, and your love of the little router has made my Christmas wish list longer. Thank you for making those beautiful legs rather than just buying new ones. You completely revamped this. I've never seen this done before. I have watched countless videos and for you to come up with something so unique my hat is off and gone to Africa for your amazing piece.
Love this piece!! So many questions though. What sealer did you use? Do you sand in between coats of sealer? I bought that router and the sponge as soon as I watched this. You need a sponsor girl! You're a true artist with her eye on lthe latest trends. So refreshing.
I believe I sanded in between a couple of coats of sealer which was minwax poly acrylic satin. The sponge applies such a thin layer that it usually settles pretty evenly. After it’s dry I run my hands over and if I feel any roughness I’ll lightly sand with 300-400 grit sand paper. Hope this helps thanks for watching 🌺
