Remove the membrane off the back of the ribs using a butter knife and a paper towel, just like you see in the video. Then use some California Olive Ranch olive oil (bit.ly/394H3Xw) as a binder and coat generously with your favorite rib or bbq rubs.... I used the Bearded Butchers Hollywood rub and it was perfect! Cover a large baking sheet with foil and place the ribs in the oven for 2 hours at 350F with the oven rack set close to the bottom. After 2 hours remove the ribs, set the oven to 450F, and coat the ribs with barbecue sauce. Return the ribs to the oven for 10min at 450F. Turn the top broiler on and leave the ribs in for 3 more minutes (MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RIBS ON THE BOTTOM RACK OR YOU WILL BURN YOUR RIBS). Remove and let them rest for a few. This is a great time to take pictures and brag to your friends! These are better than slow cooker ribs and instant pot ribs. Believe me....there is nothing wrong with meat in the oven!
I love this baby back ribs recipe and so will you! These oven baby back ribs were absolutely perfect in every aspect. Got the winter blues? Give them a try, and I will see you next time at Anderson's SmokeShow!

Thanks! I'm 71 years old. Tried this last week. Fantastic! Finally! After all these years, I've learned how cook incredible baby back ribs! You're the man!
when i grow up i want to live as long as you
awesome!
The photo looks so tasty. I'm 23 and this will be my first time cooking ribs for myself.
Grann-Ma what are you doing on youtube !?
Anytime I make ribs I always rewatch this video to make sure I'm doing it right. They turn out perfect every time
wait same hahaha
me too, it's so simple but I always think I'm going to miss something out be so good❤
Yes every single time. Today is like my 9th time watching it.
I'm excited because I'm about to cook them
I do this everytime. Literally everytime 😂
Bro new cook here. I've made this 3 times now and each time it's come out amazing. Super simple - love it thank you!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing your success story!
@@AndersonsSmokeShow No need to cover? does it get a bit dry?
I am scared to try I hate cooking, can't cook but I have not had ribs in years I want some now.
@@rj7463 you should give it a try. it's really easy and if you keep an eye on it in the oven - almost impossible to burn.
@@EnriqueMaxx I will see.
This is by far the best tutorial on oven made ribs. I’ve tried a few other ones and they were always wayyy to soft. These are crisp and delicious without using too much material.
Soft is better than tough to me... 😅😅
I agree with you. Best recipe I’ve seen for the oven. I’m about to find out right now.
I agree
Mine are in the oven right now!
it was actually terrible
The tip about grabbing the membrane with the paper towel, wow what a huge difference. I’ve struggle with that slippery little sucker for years and your tip made is so easy. It’s clear you know your way around a cut of meat. Sub earned sir.
Probably one of the biggest bang for your buck tips I’ve come across. Was aware of this before this video but I remember when I first heard this it was a game changer.
First time I tried cooking ribs today. I followed exactly what you did and they came out looking like yours. Family enjoyed it and were surprised I cooked them! Thank you!
Glad to hear that everyone liked them! Thanks for the feedback
Nice video well make some now
same here
Dude your rib recipe is hands down the best simplest and easiest ..I love how you specify (not fall off the bone)..to me that's key..as a 34 year Butcher I appreciate your cooking..Great Job!!
Thanks I’m glad that you enjoyed them! I’ll have an updated video coming out very soon!
This is my second time using your method and recipe the first was on the 4th of July. Super easy and I look like a rib master now and everyone agreed that I should make these today on Christmas. Normally when I try diy RUclips things my end product ends up coming out like the Wish version of what it was supposed to look like 🤣. But I make these in secret all by myself and make it seem like it was a tedious process. My family is gonna tear these up in a few hours. Thanks man and Semper Fi and may you and yours have a Merry Christmas.🇺🇸
Lol I like the make it seem like it was a tedious process
God bless brother thanks for protecting our lives and our rights
@@Nicksta177 hahahaha yeah I make it seem that way. That way they don't ask me to do any of the other chores like dishes or trash clean up. I'm chilln. GOD bless🙏

My first time making baby back ribs. Followed your video to the letter. There were 10 of us for dinner and everyone raved about how good the ribs were. Fall off the bone tender. Thank you very, very much.
I watched this 2 weeks ago and made them that weekend. Dude, you absolutely killed it. I am so pumped you made this video. I will be making again this weekend. Thank you for sharing this and keep it up. Take care pal.
Awesome! I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed them!
Thank you, I tried this last night and they were the best oven cooked ribs I ever made.
I didn’t even bother waiting to put them back in the oven after the first go around. I just smothered them in sauce and went to town. SO good! Thank you!
Hey that works too! I think you are the first to say that too!
No m
Kj no..
.
You could also add just a little more sauce on top at the end also.
Must have had a few beers in ya 😅
Lmao hell ya
I followed your instructions exactly and made some ribs in the oven last night. Let me just say those were some damn good ribs. Even my boyfriend was impressed. Thank you so much for sharing!
Glad to hear that you enjoyed them! Thanks for watching!
Love this recipe. I’ve made them 3 times and they’re increíble every time. Thank you!
My goodness! Easiest cooking method I have ever seen for ribs and to be honest I’m going to keep doing this! Absolutely easy and delicious! Use your favorite rub and sauce!
Today I watched this, made them, ate them . . . awesome. Couldn't have been happier with the result. Thank you SO much!
Brother, I used your cooking method, and I can't believe how well these turned out. I switched out a couple of things. I used Louis cut ribs. For a binder, I used some liquid smoke, not too much. I used my own rub. I followed your cooking instructions, except I added another 45 minutes at 350 because I wasn't using baby backs. Man, they were so good. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome! I plan on doing an oven spare ribs video soon!
Lmao you did St Louis cut at 350 degrees then 400? 🤣🤦♂️ Those poor ribs
@@jamescain1846 I did the entire cook at 350, I just added time because they were St Louis ribs, then turned out great. And for the record, I am an avid fan of smoking meat on my smoker, I'm just saying these were much better than I expected.
The heat lately has kept me away from using my smoker, so I tried making them in the oven using your method. Needless to say they came out BEAUTIFULLY!
My moms from the South and she’s been doing this since I was a kid. I’ve since incorporated it into my arsenal. Im a professional chef in Vegas btw. When i used to tell people my moms ribs are the best ribs you’ll ever have they laughed when they realized they were oven baked. They laughed until they tried them! Every single person has absolutely loved them and asked for the recipe but thats for family only! You do yours almost exactly the same though so here ya go guys! Amazing ribs!
Making Ribs for New Years Eve this year, I never knew I had to remove the membrane along the back. Thanks so helpful!
My mamas birthday today. Made em. And she loved mah ribs. Thank u so much for this recipe. And not making it complicated. :)
So, for all of you who have not tried this technique, or who are procrastinating, get off the dime and do this!! The results are by far the best oven ribs I've ever tried. Seriously! I now have a go-to recipe for winter ribs or simply a fast (two hour), simple way to satisfy my craving for ribs.
Thank you for posting this for all of us to try. Great job!
I really appreciate the kind words! I will agree that these are some of the best ribs I’ve made inside!
Just tried it tonight, they look amazing!
lol I'm about to RIGHT NOW !!!!!
Thanks for the tutorial. Ribs came out great. I would just recommend to everyone to put down a 2nd piece of tinfoil after removing the 1st piece before you put the sauced ribs back in the oven.
You can definitely do that. Granted I probably should’ve done that on the video, but my overall point was to remove the drippings from the beginning of the cook before turning up the temperature
Definitely one of the best oven baked rib recipes I've used...will be my go to for now on.
Dang! Thanks for the kind words! Glad
You enjoyed them!
You have such a calming voice and your instructions are to the point without a lot of BLAH BLAH BLAH to simply make the video longer. I have used your recipe several times and it was perfect each time. It's hard to find a recipe that comes out the same every time, but this one does! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!!
Glad it was helpful!
Truely the best oven rib recipe. Love them. I used this then threw them on the smoker just to get that flavor worked great
Glad to hear that! I made this video for those who wanted a great rack of ribs without a smoker, but I’m sure that introducing a little smoke made them even better!
curious, how long did you throw them on the smoker for and at what temp ? was thinking of doing the same
Definitely a lot better than I thought they would be. This will be my go-to from now on
I've made this recipe a couple of times now and will never go back to cooking it any other way. So tender and delicious!
Honestly though, there’s no need to cover or wrap? I’m making ribs tomorrow and I want to do this and I just want to be 100% sure.
Haven't baked ribs In a oven for a longggg time. I'm here because I forgot how. Reminds me of how good they came out of the oven. Great video
Oh definitely my go to recipe for when it’s not favorable to smoke them!
Wow! Best Ribs Ever! Super Easy and without a huge mess! I made four racks; the oven was packed! And they turned out great by following your instructions! Thanks!
Awesome! So glad to hear!
You made all 4 racks at once? Did you have to adjust the cooking times or tsmperature at all?
I didn't change times at all, Although when I put them back in for 10 min and then three under the broiler I did those one pan (2 racks) at a time just to manage the finish a little better.
@@harlanschafer4530 thanks!
Nope, you did not lie!!! This is the best, easiest recipe for baby back ribs! Tender, fall off the bone good! Cleanup was great, olive oil rub before the seasoning was makes a great difference as a binder. Thank you! Gonna make another rack! Superbowl feast is gonna be great, gonna score with this recipe big time! YES!!!😍
Just followed this step by step and I just had some of the best ribs I have ever eaten. They were perfect! Thanks for the video.
This video just saved my ass for dinner. My girlfriend was mad I waited all day to start cooking. But I've got this in my back pocket for ever now.

Glad to hear that my video helped!
I followed your recipe last night on some spare ribs and they were as good as any I had at any professional BBQ joint. I used Tony Chachere's for my rub . Your cooking times were spot on. Well done.
Glad they turned out Jaz!

living in a college dorm with oven only and wanting to make ribs this video was amazing! made it for my roomamtes and they all loved them
Awesome! Glad to hear that they were a hit!
Ok we just had them for birthday dinner, they were absolutely tremendous. Summer or winter this is my go to rib recipe forever. As I said previously I used Famous Dave’s rub and Sweet baby Ray’s BBQ sauce. The only mistake I made was the 3 minutes in the broiler the rack should have been lower so there was some charcoal on them but they still ate good. Great recipe my friend.
Thanks for the feedback Bob! Glad to hear that you enjoyed them
sweet baby rays is a great sauce for this 🤙👏👏
Great teaching easy & understanding step by step..I like the fact that you only spoke about the recipe ( not what grandma did when you were a kid ..Great Job
That butter knife tip to get the silver skin off worked like a charm. I was already using a paper towel to pull it off but struggled to get a part loose enough to start. The knife did the trick. Thank you!
This is the recipe I’ve been waiting for to make ribs in the oven go up a notch. Thank you 🙏🏽🍽

Heck yeah man! Thanks for watching!
Great Video, great presentation, great tips and didn't waste time with Blather.
When you took a bite, my mouth watered. Definitely gonna do this recipe later this week. Thank You So Much.
Thanks! Hope you enjoy them! Just keep an eye on them towards the last 15-20min just in case your oven temperature is a little hotter than what it reads
Tried this the other day to see if it worked as well as the video shows. Much to my surprise, it did! I just used a supermarket BBQ rub and followed the techniques shown. The ribs weren't dry at all, as I thought they'd be from not being completely wrapped with foil in a dry oven. If you don't have a smoker or many hours of time to wait, this is a great way to get similar results with much less babysitting. A+ from me.
Was skeptical to try because most online recipes don’t turn out the same way as the video but this was an exception. Will be cooking indoor ribs this way from now on. They were great!!
This is by far one of the best oven made rib vids I've seen thus far! I'm definitely gonna try this. Thanks for the post!!! 👍👍

Made these today. Came out OUTSTANDING! Thank you man. Only thing I changed was mustard instead of Olive
oil. Didn’t have any so mustard worked wonders. Added flavor too. Oven ribs at its finest. Thanks again

Great job!
I just made these and just finished eating. following your instructions exactly. I used a Bourbon and brown sugar rub and Sweet Baby Rays Hickory and brown sugar sauce.
It perfect in tenderness, juiciness and flavor.

@@AndersonsSmokeShow Hey Anderson GREAT VIDEO BRO! I have a question, with this recipe, I have a "RIB RACK" with slots for the racks of ribs and was wondering if and HOW can I use that with this recipe? Please reply and thank you sir!👊💪🏆
I don’t see why you couldn’t use it. Obviously I would make sure that you place the rack on a cookie or baking sheet. It could change the timing up slightly, but if you just keep an eye on them I don’t see why it wouldn’t work
@@AndersonsSmokeShow You said you use mustard as a binder on ribs for the grill, can you use mustard for this oven recipe? What kind of mustard as well Anderson? You Rock bro!
You can use mustard for these as well. I typically just use plain yellow mustard
