Remove the membrane off the back of the ribs using a butter knife and a paper towel, just like you see in the video. Then use some olive oil ( as a binder and coat generously with your favorite rib or bbq rubs.... I used the my own rub and it was perfect!
I like to use a salt and pepper based rub at a minimum or at least a starting point, and that EXACTLY what I did with my homemade rub:
2 TBSP Coarse Black Pepper
1 TBSP Salt
1 TBSP Lawry's Seasoned Salt. ( amzn.to/3x0uyI5 )
1 TBSP Granulated Garlic
1 tsp Granulated Onion
1 tsp Paprika
1.5 tsp Brown Sugar
Cover a large baking sheet with foil and place the ribs in the oven for 2 hours at 350F with the oven rack set close to the bottom. After 2 hours r set the oven to 450F, and and leave the ribs in for 10 minutes. Remove the ribs from the oven and sauce.. I used Hey Grill Hey Everything BBQ Sauce ( amzn.to/40d8lnp ). Return them to the oven for 3-5min at 450F just enough to caramelize the sauce. Remove and let them rest for a few. This is a great time to take pictures and brag to your friends! These are better than slow cooker ribs and instant pot ribs. Believe me....there is nothing wrong with meat in the oven!
I love this baby back ribs recipe and so will you! These oven baby back ribs were absolutely perfect in every aspect. Got the winter blues? Give them a try, and I will see you next time at Anderson's SmokeShow!

You really need parchment paper as a barrier between the meat. If not the seasoning will cause a reaction to the aluminum foil and it'll start breaking down and the metal will seep into your meat.
"not about low and slow, it's about rendering the fat without burning them"
Thank you my friend 👍🏻👌🏻
I want to thank you for not being loud and obnoxious. Not trying to be funny you're just informative and calm and your kitchen is clean. Thank you.
Thanks!
Yeah, I was pretty impressed without clean that oven was
Amen.
Agreed
This comment is obnoxious lol
The gratification when you pull the whole membrane off in one piece 😮
Yes, agreed!!!
💯
That was a lesson learned…. thanx!
I will try this recipe, for sure !!!!!!😚😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
I always pull membranes off, better flavor.
Your a live saver bro. I'm a single father of three girls and your videos I've helped me make some amazing food in this kitchen and my daughter's really thank you😅
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed!
The trick to remove the membrane is worth it's value in gold! Thanks for the tip!
After spending an hour craving ribs and looking at local restaurant rib prices, I decided i didnt wanna spend $44 bucks on a full rack so I bought some from the store and followed this video. Ribs came out delicious! I usually dont comment but thanks for posting this. I was surprised how good they came out considering ive never cooked ribs before.
It's cold and windy as hell where I live. Your video is a lifesaver. I'm gonna make these tomorrow. Thanks!
Thanks for having it typed up for us! I printed it out and laminated it!
These ribs were fabulous Anderson....made them yesterday....delicious and easy to do....great video!!!
I've been using your older recipe forever, glad to have an updated version!
Glad you like it!
I followed your recipe and made the dish today, whole family enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for the suggestions. I'm trying this recipe today and it's the first time that I'm cooking ribs, ever.
Great job of demonstrating, I prepared my ribs right along with you and just popped them in the oven. The removal of the membrane was so easy, thank you! 😋
This is definitely one of the best go to recipes for barbeque ribs in the oven 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you for this clear and easy to follow recipe. I'm making it as I write this comment. I can't wait to eat!
I literally just seen your video from 2 years ago on ribs in the oven and then this video pop up. Love the new kitchen salute u. Will give this a go today!!! Stay bless!!!
Tried it for the first time tonight. Result was amazing. I’ll make them this way from now on.
Thank you again! This is the third time making these. Easy, fast, delicious!! we actually tossed the other rib rubs and rib recipes; your recipe is all this family needs!
Thank you for the recipe, it seemed it was cooked perfectly. I like all the cooking tips that you tell us all, that’s so nice of you.
Great tutorial and great looking ribs. Can’t wait to try this out!
Thanks Jenny, my daughter loves it when I make these ribs. Absolutely delicious. We have made it several times and at this point it’s second nature. We appreciate you Ms Jenny!
Glad to see you are doing this sort of thing on your channel. I have done quick grilled ribs on the Weber, slow smoked ribs on the Weber, ribs in the oven and ribs in the Crockpot. Each method yielded a different result, but they all turned out great!
I try to cater to everyone in every situation. I’ve got 4 oven bbq videos and all of them have done great. My number one video has over 900k views and they were oven baby backs that I bought to film on the smoker, but we ended up with 15in of snow haha
Thank you for a great video. You kept it simple and didn’t speak 100 words per second. Great job!
Dude, this came up in my feed and you earned yourself a new subscriber. Man, those ribs look good... I'm gonna make those this weekend!
You are a fantastic teacher! You answer my questions for most everything as you explain. I really enjoy your vids. May make these today for family 4th dinner.
Thanks!
Thank you! The ribs look great and I appreciate how you showed each step. Especially removing the membrane!
Glad you liked it!
Looks amazing! And not complicated. Thank you!
Just did it for my family and first time making ribs! They really enjoy them. Thanks!
Glad you liked them!
Finally!!! Someone who thinks "fall off the bone" ribs aren't cooked right. I hate when I see the term "fall off the bone". That's over cooked! You can get your ribs nice and tender without them falling off the bone.
I haven't used a grill or smoker in years for my Baby Backs, I use the oven or air fryer, those look great!
Watched your old recipe about a year ago and been doing it ever since! Revisited today just for a refresher on the time and temperature and felt something was a bit off, only to realize this is an updated version!! Very pleasant surprise!
Glad you’ve enjoyed them enough to come back!
@@AndersonsSmokeShow was the meal we made the night I got together with my girlfriend as a matter of fact 😊
I made this for my mom and her husband, they loved it! I used a maple rub and Sweet baby Ray's sauce. I will definitely make this again. Thank you!
Wonderful!
They turned out lovely I fixed two racks yesterday for my family and Mother’s Day
Terrific oven method! Looks delicious👍😊
Always gotta have a backup to the smoker
Tested it out and it works perfectly. I did a variation of your method though and it works every time indeed. Yes Sir.
Made these and they were great. Even my wife, who’s not a big rib fan, liked them.
You sure know what you're doing. Great vid. Thanks so much...gotta try these out soon.
I always cover mine but I like how those look. I am going to make it that way. Thanks for sharing.
I just did this for my wife son and daughter. (Even my 8 month old got a taste). Except at an hour and 40, I brushed the ribs down with fresh cherry Pepsi. Other than that, they followed everything. Very good!
Thank you for a simple explanation on how to cook those ribs. They look fantastic and so easy to do. Will give it a try today
Hope you enjoy
Best method of cooking I have used of dozens. My goto video! Shared many times, liked and subbed long ago!
Awesome! Thanks
This is the exact kind of video I needed before I tried making some ribs. Thank you!
Glad I could be of help!
I'm making these ribs tonight thank you brother. May GOD bless you
Very easy and Delicious 😋
Thank you for sharing your recipe
Made these for dinner tonight and it was top tier will definitely be coming back to visit thia recipe.. My father inlaw was surprised i knew how to remove the membrane 😊 i learned from this trick and it was sooo easy btw!!! 😁😁😁 Thank you for this video!!
Absolutely love this way to cook your ribs i don't cook ribs any other way in the fall/winter months
Perfect way to cook ‘em! Thanks. Made them 2x this week and they were a hit.
Great to hear!
I found your recipe easy and simple to follow , no fussing about . Prepared 2 slabs of ribs for dinner yesterday . My family just loved it 🎉🎊🎈, they said better than the restaurant 👏👏👏👍👍👍. Thank you 🤗🤗
Awesome!!
I love your channel and your style, Andrew! You make my life better!!
Happy to hear that!
I find it interesting how people make these differently. I'm definitely going to have to try different methods out of curiosity. The fact people do things differently is awesome because I can experiment lol and I enjoy the fact there's no "one way to do this." Thanks for sharing this! It's different than the last recipes I've seen where people are using mustard and baking at 350 for 2 to 3 hours. Their methods look great too. However I enjoy seeing olive oil being used instead especially because there are people I cook for who hate mustard. The texture of your baked pork ribs look interesting too. Thanks a bunch for sharing this!
I am Audrey Watkins from Carthage Ms. Your ribs are wonderful cooked in the oven. Any of the meat you cook is wonderful. So glad I found you on RUclips. I love different recipes and learn so much from RUclips, and your different ways of cooking.
Glad you enjoy them!
I followed your directions and the results were perfect. Thanks for this info. I will use this knowledge over and over again.
Glad they turned out for you!
Thanks made this and loved the result! Perfect oven ribs
Awesome!!! So glad to hear that!
Tried this today and I gotta tell you---they were really really really good! Even my wife who is a picky about ribs just scarfed them down!--the video was easy to follow--the directions for the cook are super easy and I ended up with virtually no mess---I really liked the toothpick idea (I used a toothpick) and I also liked the sauce them on the cutting board and changing out the foil---so an easy common sense thing that I never realized to have done this before--thanks for the video!
Heck yeah! Glad you liked them!
You saved the day for us! I bought ribs for our family Christmas dinner and forgot to buy a bag of wood pellets. Thought oven cooked ribs would be a dud but your method gave us ribs that everyone raved over! They were some of the best we’ve had! Simple process but excellent flavor and tenderness! Thank you for this video!
Looks delicious will try real soon🎉😅❤
Whoa, looks outstanding!!
Now that looks so good
I made these ribs tonight, and I mixed up some of your rub seasoning. Superb! The seasoning in the rub was prevalent all through the meat, not just on the surface. I will definitely be making these again. Thank you!
Awesome! 💪🏻
Nice job presenting how to do a perfectly fine version of tasty ribs. Here in deep snow country, we don't want to go all winter without some good tender, pork ribs.
Thank you for your beautiful recipe yum 😋
Love video. Did this method on two occasions and ribs were perfect thank you and family enjoyed em!!!!
Awesome! So glad to hear!
Great video. Plain, Simple and to the point. Keep up the good work.
Thanks!
Wow 😮 that look yummy 😋 Thank you for sharing, I’m going to do it this weekend watching from USA Arizona 🥰🙏❤️❤️
I made this last week and my husband loved them! Thank you 😊
Glad you enjoyed them!
Gonna try this for Sunday lunch. Sure makes my mouth water watching this video...thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching
I've ALWAYS made mine like this!!ALWAYS!😋
Great video. Simple, clear instructions for the rib newbie like me. Thanks! 👍
Glad you found it useful!
Very, very helpful and informative. Thank you
Great recipe and video!! going to try this today!
Hope you enjoy
Made these tonight. We’re so good and tender!
Great Video, it's January in Pittsburgh and I can't really use my smoker but I really want to try this method out. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you everything you cook . Look amazing ❤
My pleasure 😊
I smoke and BBQ constantly. I was looking for a new oven method for baby backs.
I was really impressed on how they turned out!! DELICIOUS!
Thank you.
I personally leave the membrane ON. I've tried both ways and honestly don't see or taste a difference. The membrane does help keep the meat attached if you happen to overcook. Either way, there's no meat on the back side so I leave it alone. Your toothpick test is spot on. I did have to cover the ribs for the last 20 as they were getting toastie😅
GREAT RECIPE
Thx again!!
Thanks! Also thanks for being able to recognize the need to adjust!
I have never seen a video so informative. Thank you for actually showing how to remove the membrane and how to check for doneness or when they are tender. Most video just say ok you need to remove that membrane and cook for 3 hours or so.
Thanks for the kind words
Excellent video! Excellent recipe!Thank you 👍🖖
I watched the video, followed your instructions & my oven baked ribs turned out to be the best ever! I used a meat rub, some liquid smoke & topped with Sweet Baby Rays bbq sauce. It was a big hit with the wife too. Thanks for sharing your techniques.
Awesome! 💪🏻💪🏻
Made this for the second time and it comes out good every time..That you AB
💪🏻💪🏻
made these. two racks. kids absolutely devored them! awesome video. thanks!!
Definitely going to take a few points from you brother. Cooking a rack tonight, appreciate the video!
Another EXCELLENT VIDEO
and... Thank you for NOT having Background noise/music
I finally found someone else using this method for the removal of the membrane. I've been using this for years but I don't wear gloves or use the paper towel. Just the knife, then wiggle the fingers through and pull up. I still chuckle at people struggling with grabbing the end of the membrane when this is so much easier.
💪🏻💪🏻
Thank you veru much sir, this is a very easy recipe. I gave it a try like you said and OMG they were frickin delicious. Again Thank You!
Nicely demonstrated - to the point without unnecessary talking❤ Thanks for sharing
Thanks!
I really like this tooth pick idea. You do it for cakes. Makes sense to do it for meat. Haven’t seen this done before. I will use this idea. Thanks.
It works great for tenderness checks, especially on ribs!
Hey man, I have got to say your method for removing that membrane worked for me for the first time following your demo. Thanks
Glad it helped!
Great work!!!
I just tried your way; they came out great! Thanks!
Awesome!
Tried this and mouth watering goodness!
Awesome!
I’ve made ribs 3 times with this method. With the right rub, sauce, etc., they turn out surprisingly well. I used a smoked rub and smoked paprika to get that flavor in there.
Smoked paprika makes a massive difference . It provides that smokiness that’s missing. I’ve tried this method and wrapping them, these have a much better bark/exterior but wrapping definitely comes out juicier.
We love ribs in oven!
Going to try it on my long weekend 😊
Looks delicious. We will have to try these
Thanks!
This method is my new go to. Happy I found your video 😊
Thanks for watching!
I never comment on videos but these came out excellent, great recipe
Making these right now!
Excelllent, Most excellent . Keep Cooking!!
Thanks!
Made these today for dinner and they came out awesome.
Awesome!
Wanted ribs, don't have a grill, you're my savior man! Got the ribs in the oven right now.
Look so delicious I will make some thanks for share
Made some the other day with one of your old recipes. They were delicious. Only thing was I was sorry I only made 1 slab. Gonna use this recipes and make 2 to 3 slabs this time. Great recipe and thanks for sharing 👍🏾
Awesome!!! Glad you enjoyed
I’m going to do 2 slabs as well. Did you make any adjustments regarding cooking time and /or temperature?
@@duckduck8240 no I just followed the instructions on the video.
OMG. THAT LOOKS AMAZING
Thanks!
