The Hummer was not built "for" Desert Storm Tommy. It was built to replace the Jeep as a multi-purpose utility vehicle. Desert Storm came some time after the first one was delivered.
But it's not an actual hummer, it actually shares nothing with a real hummer. This is just a suburban. And by the way my surburban aired down properly flies in the sand.
I think what makes TFL so good is the amazing crew you have capable of being in front or behind the camera along with the behind the scenes work with manufactures. Everyone flip them a couple bucks on Patreon!
This channel surprises me daily. You guys have so much fun without political/favoritism etc. This video is awesome, fun, and love of vehicles. Also, congrats on 5 years strong! Keep up the great work!
Amazing how much effort you guy's put into your videos. As someone who used to live in Colorado and now lives in New Hampshire, thanks for bringing back a lot of memories. Best of luck for your next 5 years...and keep up the great work!
Congratulations on 5 years! I’ve been around for +/-2 years and enjoyed just about every video. Hope you guys are around for another 5, these are the best new vehicle reviews on the tube!
I enjoy the XJ and D2 videos, I like that you guys review trucks as trucks. There’s no comparing their ride quality to a Cadillac or Audi. No handling comparisons to the M3 or anything like that. Keep up the good work. This is the only review Chanel I subscribe to.
Happy 5th Anniversary and thanks for all the knowledge. Because of you guys, I feel that I made the best possible truck purchase last month and changed a lot of my parameters to focus on "work" vs fuel economy. Thanks for the great videos and providing us with the knowledge to be informed truck consumers.
oh come on...your not telling us what truck you bought? we need to know what your dream truck was before you started watching and what you wound up buying
I love this video y'all didn't do a lot of video trimming and it feels like I'm actually there with y'all just conversing and having a good time, y'all haven't even got to the dunes yet and I was enjoying the video, thanks guys
Happy 5th Anniversary! I haven't been watching for long but when I found this channel I loved it. Your accurate coverage of features and applications is awesome!
Happy 5th Year Anniversary TFL Truck! I honestly have no current suggestions at this time. I'm personally enjoying the adventures you guys are having, though! The overlanding and the off-roading videos are top-notch, as is the camerawork. Additionally, towing tests are always a hit with the Ike Gauntlet. Keep up the great work, guys!
I’ve learned a lot from this channel especially about trucks and I’ve been watching 4 out of the 5 years .. you guys are awesome and turned me into a truck nut. Mr truck and his trailer towing , towing accessories videos have taught me a lot as well .. Nathan is my favorite out of the bunch .. momentum baby !
Same time as me. I remember finding a video from them and realizing that there was the perfect blend of information and humor. They seem like normal guys, not stiffs that just do reviews. Truly the best out there.
To truly harness the energy of that Hummer, TFL needs to talk on their cellphone continuously while driving, never signal/look when changing lanes, and only address themselves as Chad.
Hey, Nathan. I have an idea I'd love to see you do. Have a TFL-Final Drive series where you take an old vehicle, and torture it until it blows up or falls apart. Example. Take an old truck, keep overloading it in the bed and the trailer and see how much weight it will handle before it breaks. The manufacturers tell us what their limits are, but it would be fun to see what the true limit is by having viewers donate vehicles that they were going to take to the junkyard, anyway. Maybe you guys could use them to make a video, then get the cash from the scrap steel to continue funding more videos.
Lcorcoran That I have not seen, but now I will be looking it up. Honestly, I never paid much attention to Toyota before I started watching these guys. They changed my opinion on that brand for the better.
Wow. Happy 5 TFLTruck. Thank you for all the years of information, entertainment, and good times, and may there be indefinite more in the future to come. Also, something's gotta be off if you went 20 miles and the Hummer computer thinks you only burned 2 miles worth of fuel. This is one of my all-time favorite TFL videos now. Up there with Nathan's pick, the small vs. medium vs. large off-road truck, and the first TFL video I ever saw, the Wrangler vs Renegade Snowy Off-Road Mashup. Keep up the good work.
Absolutely guys this one the best shows out there. I do make my decisions on trucks based on what you guys talk about and show us. I love my half ton trucks and your tests help. As you know there's no way I would get the information that I need from the manufacturer on all the capabilities these trucks have without your show. Guys keep trucking and thanks couldn't do it without you. Ron B
Suggestion: Go for long overland trips with heavy offroading, i dunno if you guys have seen Ronny Dahls videos and Aussie Fourwheelers, if you try and make a mix and match between those two kinds of videos, it would be hella awesome. Dont go all balls to the wall like aussie fourwheelers tho, those dudes are nuts.
For guys like me who prefer either to buy an older used truck and or drive our trucks until the wheels fall off, how about some more content about long term reliability? Or which trucks will get the job done with lowest cost of ownership? Also, great video!
Suggestion for TFL Truck: Ultimate OFFROAD midsize truck comparison once the Ranger Raptor is released to the USA. I would love to see the Ford Ranger Raptor, Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro, and Chevy Colorado ZR2 face off (I will admit I'm rooting for the ZR2) and any other truck you can bring to the fight. As for location, I suggest one of these locations in the Colorado area. 1 - Cactus Ridge 2 2 - Rangley 3 - Die Trying 4 - Independence/Patriot 5 - Carnage BV 6 - Calamity Canyon 7 - Billings Canyon 8 - 21 Road 9 - Topless 10 - Holy Cross11 - Blanca Peak*WARNING* Stuff might break.
Love the channel! I just traded by Wrangler after driving only Jeeps for 10+ years. Pros and and cons for sure, but I needed the towing capacity! I regularly tow a boat, 2 CFMoto UTVs and Polaris ATVs... Life is rough ;) I love being able to watch "the lifestyle" on this channel.
Congratulations TFL team. You guys are amazing and I thank you for your first five years. Side note: I had no doubt H2 was going to make it through the challenges. I remember when it was first introduced a spokesperson from Hummer said in public the H2 was 80% of the H1. I have never owned of any those two, but I wonder how true that was.. Again, congrats in this amazing journey,,
Happy happy! Amazing last 5 years! Every moment has been just perfect and so much work and effort put into making literally the best auto journalism since motor trend was relevant in everyone hands. Keep strong #TFL.
Fun times. Obviously the trailer was ideal for overnight arrangements. But Andre did it right. That's what overlanding is all about. Taking your daily driver to your outdoor playground, camping in it and then being able to play in it as well. The all in 1 vehicle. (though I would not choose an H2 lol)
I as a viewer really appreciate what you said in this video. I think you do a great job informative and most importantly entertaining. Keep up the good work and here’s to many more good years.
I’d love to see a Ike gauntlet with the heavy duties towing max loads but have mr. truck drive them how he wants not just automatic and tow haul. Basically have a more realistic experience with the big three
Maaan, you guys rock and are absolutely the best!!! These awesome videos brings a tear or 2 to my eyes. It shows the passion you guy have for the trucks and cars as well. It felt like I was right there sitting with y’all. Keep up the good work fellas!!! Your vids gives me life!
I love the group videos, multiple vehicles and taking them through their paces on obstacles. I love the good natured teasing when you're all together, keep up the good work.
22:19 Wow I can’t believe the H2 actually made it up that sand dune incline despite being 3000 pounds heavier! It’s just like the Power Wagon, IT DON’T CARE if it had that 3000-pound weight disadvantage. It was like IMA POWA THRU THIS REGARDLESS IF I’M FAT FROM EATING SO MUCH TURKEY OVER CHRISTMAS!😋 Wow and I clenched my teeth for nothing lol. 😂 Anyways thanks for another epic adventure as always and congratulations on reaching that 5-year milestone in terms of this channel. 👏🏻👏🏻👍
I’d like to see you all review trucks that hav been modified/customized. Leveling kits, lift kits, wenches, computer upgrades, pros and cons of all of the aftermarket accessories on some trucks. Use your expertise to discuss these mods in a general way or cover specific products.
Happy Anniversary gang! I love the channels. I love that it is literally a family growing into it. Keep it up. Let me know when you're in AZ. I'd love to do stuff in the background for you guys!
Congratulations to my favorite channel on the internet. Where was Roman though? Mr. Truck is the man. Andre, Tommy, the tall chubby kid, and Nathan all really cool dudes. To Another 5 Years!
Nathan asked for suggestions. How about more "old vs new" testing. For example, if you could get your hands on a first generation Honda Ridgeline and compare it to a 2nd generation with 0-60 (empty and towing), MPG towing, Ike Gauntlet, etc. and see how they stand up to one another That would be really cool to see how the manufacturers are making things better or not.
Great Channel! I have bothe the Rubicon and the H2, prefer the H2 on big road trips, but the jeep is great in the summer and in the snow also! Long live the 4x4!
Congrats! A suggestion for future vids: Find a manual diesel truck to run the gauntlet. For example compare a 07 Dodge 3500 with a 6 speed manual vs a 2017 Dodge 3500 manual. It would compare it to the autos for towing and mpg battles. New vs old too.
Wow, 5 years already... crazy man, time flies when having fun. Ever think about doing a tug of war challenge? the auto makers probably wouldn't be too happy. Lol
It would be cool if you guy could get a hold of some of the older 4WD's in from other countries and do review on them now that some of the cooler stuff can come into the country with the 25 year rule. Something like Nissan Patrol/Safari, Hilux etc.
I remember the older videos when Andre didn't speak English 😂
dan brauner Yeah. Those cracked me up because he would speak Russian and Roman would respond in English.
They need to bring that back to a extent lol
I had to go back and look at one from 2014. Funny because I've been watching that long and didn't remember that.
And by the way my surburban aired down properly flies in the sand.
whewdoggie1 it was built in the same factory as the h1. Having driven both an h2 and suburban, the suburban feels nothing like the h2.
One of the Top 5 best informative automotive channels on RUclips period. Salute to you gentlemen.
So glad I found TFL. So much improvement over the years and humble people. When you get haters, you're doing something right.
I think what makes TFL so good is the amazing crew you have capable of being in front or behind the camera along with the behind the scenes work with manufactures. Everyone flip them a couple bucks on Patreon!
Hell yes a Hummer video!!!!! I'm so glad Andre bought the H2. Now upgrade those old brakes.
Happy Anniversary TFL been watching for 4 years
Can’t wait to see all your channels grow
Congrats on 5 years with a great channel
This channel surprises me daily. You guys have so much fun without political/favoritism etc. This video is awesome, fun, and love of vehicles.
Also, congrats on 5 years strong! Keep up the great work!
thanks for 5 amazing years ive been watching since 2016 watched all videos 5 to 10 times
Amazing how much effort you guy's put into your videos. As someone who used to live in Colorado and now lives in New Hampshire, thanks for bringing back a lot of memories. Best of luck for your next 5 years...and keep up the great work!

5 years old man that's sick good job guys

Congratulations on 5 years I have used your information many many times
Great content once again. Congrats on 5 years!
Thumbs up from a German RAM driver. You are the best.
Where’s the boss Roman?? Great job TFL, I’ve learned so much about trucks watching your videos for the last 3 years.
2018 F150 with the 3.5L EcoBoost, Max Tow, FX4 and Tech packages. And I love every moment that I drive it.
What a great video. Congratulations for the 5 years. Keep up the great work you all do.
Happy 5th Year Anniversary TFL Truck! I honestly have no current suggestions at this time. I'm personally enjoying the adventures you guys are having, though! TFL is the best car/truck show on RUclips!
Flash363 by far the best! It was there review of the ram ecodiesel that convinced me to buy one!
WOOT!! Congrats on 5 Years.
Happy 5th Anniversary TLF Truck Team!!!! Yohooo!!!
Great work guys I been watching this channel since 2013
Thanks for watching!
Same time as me. I remember finding a video from them and realizing that there was the perfect blend of information and humor. They seem like normal guys, not stiffs that just do reviews. Truly the best out there.
Congrats on 5 years! Keep the great content coming!
Love TFL. You guys do a great job! Congrats on 5 years.
I’ve been afraid we’d lose one of you guys to another RUclips endeavor but congrats for keeping everyone together.
To truly harness the energy of that Hummer, TFL needs to talk on their cellphone continuously while driving, never signal/look when changing lanes, and only address themselves as Chad.
yes, and put spinners on with an overpriced tacky body kit that make real men puke on site
Cars And Zebras , I hate chrome ghetto pimp ones lol
I'd love to see military Humvee vs. civilian Hummer......
Christopher Rosas humvee
@@blakeok952 I've actually driven both an I prefer the military one...... Doesn't feel like it's gonna break every 5 minutes because you hit a bump

Metalbass79 ha I think this would be great
redranger97 I'm sure they'd have a ton of fun doing it, generate some more income and tell us what a true torture test can prove.
Have you seen that toyota tundra commercial it was around 2012 and it showed a tundra pulling a space craft.
I like that idea
Lcorcoran That I have not seen, but now I will be looking it up. Honestly, I never paid much attention to Toyota before I started watching these guys. They changed my opinion on that brand for the better.
Happy 5th anniversary. Yes you all make it the number 1 truck channel.
Great video!! I'm amazed Andre speaks English better than I do. Great 5 years!!
Where did he grow up?
yeahh haha remember when he speaked russian

Just jump to this timestamp to finally get to the action: 20:00

Happy 5th!! Looking forward to many more years of content from you guys.
Great video guys! Happy 5th Anniversary!!
Keep on making the best vehicle reviews TFL !
You guys have the best car and truck videos out there, also a patron supporter.
Happy anniversary TFLTruck! Keep doing what you’re doing and making awesome truck videos that no one else will 👍🏻
Which A&M did you go to and what year did you graduate?
Aaron Johnson college station, and I actually just graduated lol
TFL is the best channel on RUclips. My go to for awesome off road videos 😎
Happy 5 years with more to come .
Best automotive channel on RUclips!
Great content, happy 5 years

Agreed Nathan!! That Moab video was best. Awesome from beginning to end.
My fave as well
I as a viewer really appreciate what you said in this video. I think you do a great job informative and most importantly entertaining. Keep up the good work and here’s to many more good years.
Bigben1971 Thanks!
Happy 5 year anniversary. Absolutely love the information you put out. But more importantly I love seeing you guys enjoy doing what you do.
your vids are the best, keep up the great work
Love seeing you guys doing having fun
I just love ALL your videos ! Thank you for taking the time to show us real world situations.
Best video quality so far !

Looks like the hummer did pretty good.I own an H3 and love em or hate em,hummers are better off road than a lot of people think.
I’d like to see you all review trucks that hav been modified/customized. Leveling kits, lift kits, wenches, computer upgrades, pros and cons of all of the aftermarket accessories on some trucks. Use your expertise to discuss these mods in a general way or cover specific products.
Keep'em coming, happy anniversary!
This was one of my favorite videos. Congrats gents!
Love Andre’s truck!
Another great show! I also have 35s on my 2 door JK and get around 19 mpg in town. On the highway it goes down to 15 mpg.
What was the weather like? Long sleeves in the summer?
Congratulations on your 5th Anniversary !!!! Look forward to many more, keep up the great work.
Big Congratulations on your first five years!
Happy Anniversary gang! I love the channels. I love that it is literally a family growing into it. Keep it up. Let me know when you're in AZ. I'd love to do stuff in the background for you guys!
Great vid, loved your favorites. Super great fun.
I would say round up a couple Xterras and take them on a trail run to pay tribute to the great off roader that isn't produced anymore.
Yes.
Agreed. Too bad they are nissans though as nothing they build is great anymore.
What an awesome job to review cars and trucks.
Congratulations to my favorite channel on the internet. Where was Roman though? Mr. Truck is the man. Andre, Tommy, the tall chubby kid, and Nathan all really cool dudes. To Another 5 Years!
Wrangler's roof is not leaking at all normally, as I said before in a video about TLC200.
Congrats! Keep up the good work!
Great video for your fifth year.
Although it's a bit weird because I thought I had been watching you guys, well, some of you, for longer than that.
More off-roading! It would be cool to see more older 4x4's too. SUV's and trucks.
Congrats TFL! I'm a fan from Puerto Rico!
Love TFL , been watch for 3 years , my favorites are Andres H2 and his 2500 Silverado. The big green is awesome as well. Love that truck lol
Congratulations! A great content channel that keeps it fun.
Happy 5th Anniversary to the whole team of TFL Truck💐🎊🎉🌹🎂🎉🎉🎊🎊🎊🎂
More offroading tips and part installs with Tommy's Jeep would be fun.
Great Channel! I have bothe the Rubicon and the H2, prefer the H2 on big road trips, but the jeep is great in the summer and in the snow also! Long live the 4x4!
The traction control 2 setting in the hummer is for allowing extra wheel spin in situations like sand
Congrats! A suggestion for future vids: Find a manual diesel truck to run the gauntlet. For example compare a 07 Dodge 3500 with a 6 speed manual vs a 2017 Dodge 3500 manual. It would compare it to the autos for towing and mpg battles. New vs old too.
Thanks for the awesome videos and all the hard work you guys do
You are most welcome. Thank you for watching!
Andre, you are my dude! Love your style with the H2 lol. Also you guys never dissapoint with your uploads, keep it up! :D
Superb video friends! Really enjoy all the content y'all put out. Love this channel!
