Can we talk about how well the h2 took that roll over? It was completely on its side and only had one dent! That is really impressive for something that weighs nearly 7000 lbs!
@4 Low Mode I just bought some heavy-duty milk crates and 2 in wide ratchet strap to hold my recovery gear in place. I'm hoping to avoid just that. Or Worse? The smashed head from a 30lb block.
@@anthonyogden8859 Smart idea. Yeah better to have all your stuff in a storage container of some kind because if you get bounced around a little your stuff won't be all over the place.
I can't wait to wheel with you all this year! I'm disabled. If I get stuck? I cannot walk myself out. This group will be a godsend to me! I will bring skills and treats. LOL I can cook.
Another great video! Keep up the good work. Glad you weren't talking about my truck rolling over. Got close on Thursday though. Slid into a deep rut. Red clay and water = same as ice! Will always stay in the ruts going forward. You usually wind up there anyway. Hope to see you at Black Mountain! Jody
Haha yeah not your H2 thankfully! I just said Hummer flips over so people know what to expect in the video. That and also that screenshot made for the best thumbnail cover! I should be able to make it out to Black Mountain so I'll be seeing you there! 😃

Also on December 1st the Club will actually be in Gatlinburg taking part in their town parade. Check out my previous video on the Hummer Club events that are going on this year in 2023 if you haven't already!

@@anthonyogden8859 Yep sure thing. Yeah I see what group you are talking about but not sure what was going on. But yeah anyway looks like you are unsuspended now though.
Are you familiar with RBP tires? I'm thinking about going with the 33×12. Stock 16 inch rims. Do you think I'll be okay with not having to up the 4.55 front and rear gears? That's what makes me fear going with 35's. I'm on a fixed income and can't afford a big lift. SO grateful for the advice! Really do appreciate it brother. 🙏🇺🇲
@@anthonyogden8859 You should be fine upgrading to 35s without having to regear. Personally, I have never heard of RBP tires. I typically stick with brands such as BFGoodrich, Toyo Tires, Nitto, and Cooper.
I had my airbags deploy in the SAME EXACT fashion years ago. Except I was driving down a bumpy gravel road. Thank goodness it was covered by Geico. All new side curtain airbags and a brand new headliner... Still a pain to deal with, but something decent came out of it at least. I started pulling the airbag fuse anytime I hit the trails, if light bumps and dips can deploy it, I'm sure something else can too. Interestingly, I remember reading that this is not a H3 issue, but a GM wide issue dating back to the 90's? Can't remember how long it's been going on, but it was effecting almost every single GM SUV. Vehicles would detect rollovers even be driving down the highway!
Yes, this is a GM wide problem. I have heard some instances of newer GM vehicles having this same exact problem when offroad. Not sure if they ever fixed it lol.
Most of the time I have found it's better to ride outside of the ruts if at all possible. I used to have a small Nissan four-wheel drive. I could go in most of the places my friends with full size trucks could go. I just went around the Deep stuff. What are you all feelings about RBP tires? I'm going with 33×12s on my stocjk 16 in rims. I can't believe how much more expensive tires have gotten in the last 15 years. LOL I'm old.
It depends if it is slippery out or not. If it is dry, you can avoid the ruts. However, if it is slippery, there is no choice, you will slip right into them weather you like it or not.
@@4lowmode Nanner misjudged the width of the high and dry area AND he did not hear instructions about not trying to go around the ruts. Not enough room. His radio was not on or on the wrong channel. Radios are not just something convenient to have when off-roading. Had Nanner been listening he would not have flipped over and he would not be installing a new engine. But, conditions were absolutely horrible, and looking back, we should have just not even tried wheeling that weekend. Another thing about conditions. The 4 wheelers are tearing up trails all over the country and are becoming a big problem. The mess at Windrock is an example of that.
Ahhh... Dad... :( we've told him for a while that he needs a dent on the left side to even out the dent on the right... I think he took it a bit too far. :) Thank you everyone who helped out my Dad!
Wanting an H2 but might go for an H3. Are the H3’s without lockers still suitable to do trails like the ones in this video? Finding it hard to find whilst sticking into a particular budget. Thanks for any info and I enjoy your videos!
Yes H3s are still great without lockers, but I would HIGHLY reccomend finding one that came with locker(s) from the factory because that factory option doesn't cost anymore with or without them. If you were to buy an H3 without lockers and then decide you wanted one, that would cost like $2000 to get one installed. Go on my channel and watch my video where I talk about the Adventure package. This was an optional offroad package. I show you how you can find one. The only thing is finding an H3 adventure might be a bit of a state or nationwide search to find the perfect spec you are looking for. If you find one you like, you can DM me on Instagram @acer4lo or Facebook (Acer Miller) and I can take a look at it if you aren't sure or if you have other questions on it. But yeah watch my adventure package video and that should help you identify them.
While I was there they weren't able to get it started, and then I heard the motor got locked up so it had to stay in town and be brought to a mechanic. I am pretty sure it needs a new motor now unfortunately. After rolling, the engine was still on for about 30 seconds.

Most people out there don't really know about it because it happens so infrequently. But yeah that's why I always pull my fuse and have been for years now.
It's just too bad Hummer didn't keep the four-wheel independent suspension with portals and torsion diffs. And it shouldn't be that way given the weight of the H1 and the pathetic engine they come with.
