it a avalanche with a ugly body, the only thing worse is the h3
Yall should check out the guy from Florida they do Duramax conversations

The Fast Lane Truck What about bringing back the fJ cruiser?
Kevin Noll lol gm what do u expect? tf do you expect from ford expensive to fix ford and dodge
ain't reliable worth a damn
Thats what you get when you buy a modded used truck... you should be experts enough to expect repairs.
I don't care wat anyone say in RUclips or anywhere. Love da h2.
^^^THIS.
We all do. But if only jealousy, prejudice and narrowmindedness could lets us think coherently.
You own one, you never want another car or truck (As long as budget not an issue).
More of a H1 guy
I own a 2005 Hummer H2 and it is by far the BEST car I've ever owned. Love this review ... the gentleman that's "hating" on the Hummer knows he loves it deep down:)
I don't care what anyone says, I LOVE the Hummers
Jonathan Colbert I love Hummers too
I love Hummers but the engine sucks, i would swap in a Duramaxx Diesel engine and you got a badass truck.
I like the HMMWV
ME TOO!
Me too ,it was one of my dream trucks and still! Wearing truckers jeans and driving this was my passion back in 2008,then at mid years I started hating it ,but again I started liking it!
Had a 2007 H2 Victory Red Limited Edition until 2016. Absolutely loved it (and I’m a Ford tech) the whole time. Still miss it to this day. Only vehicle I ever teared up when I sold it.
Those H2 commercials really take me back to the ‘00s. Especially the one in the snow
And it feels likeeeee
It’ was my dream car. Now I bought my second H2
Me too. No me a gizillion! To appreciate these beasts, you need to own and drive one. You can never go back to anything else on this planet.
@@samsen201 lots of problems with the WEAK FRONT END😣😮😮
It’s also my dream car, and I am about to get my first one.
Bought mine in 2003, it’s 2019 and I’m still in love with it, few things though that bothers me: The noise of the air coming inside the cabin when u go over 55 miles an hour and the cheap plastic that I’m about to replace on the exterior, other than that, H2 is a BEAST 👊🏻
I miss my H2. They are fantastic vehicles! I had mine in some tough spots off-road.
The grill is not a rip off because am general made the wills jeep, and also made the Hmmwv, that's how the hummer got its grill
And that's why jeep lost the lawsuit
Yep, when amc spun off am general. Owned by renault which is owned by the French, and the US government doesn't allow foreign countries to make products. Then the hummer was made, and like you said because they both came from AMC both jeep and AM general can use the 7 slot grille but AM general does own the right to the 10 slot ford jeep grille.
Fiat ripped Jeep off when they made that girly looking Renegade.
AM General wasn't around until 1969 (former AMC). They did not build the Willys Jeep. That would be Willys Overland Motors. They had a seven slot grill as far back as 1946 and a 9 slot on the MB in WW2. AMC bought Willys Jeep in 1969 then changed to AM General and from there their paths converged. AM General designed the Hmmwv in '79. Chrysler bought Jeep in '87 and owns them today.
Chrysler lost the suit because it was ruled they couldn't prove that by using a similar 7 slotted grill infringed or diluted their brand and they had waited too long to file an injunction or that it confused customers between Jeep and Hummer. The H1 had already been using the grill since early 90's and before that the military humvee. It's all about what you can prove and evidently they didn't bring enough evidence to court to convince anyone so they lost.
As far as who lays claim to the grill design...Difficult to say if you go by who used it first that would be Willys Overland (Jeep), but that was sold off to AM General years later, while they had Jeep they designed and built the military humvee sold to US GOV. Chrysler could argue it wasn't sold for consumer use. The H1 however was but why did Chrysler wait so long until the H2 was released if it bothered them?
Historically, the seven slot grill belongs to Jeep, but you could also argue it's not used in the same fashion. It's much slimmer. Also because AM General bought Jeep, they also bought the designs too which were loosely used on the humvee. So in effect they also own the rights. I like the Hummer grills better. Slim and wide.
@X X I had a 1995 Jeep Cherokee, yeah it rusted bad on the body, clear thru the floor and the roof in the corners. Had about 190k when we sold it in 2010. I just bought a 2003 H2 this year so it's about the same age as the Jeep was when we sold it but it's miles better by comparison, some of that is because it's a newer vehicle, they're just made better than older ones but a lot of it is because of Chrysler.
The engine was really good in the Chreokee though, never had a problem with it and transmission. Ford's got issues with early 2000's rusting too, but I've yet to see an H2 with rust. Had my H2 now for over a month, love it. a few things on it are head scratchers like the dual climate control, why would you have it left/right and not front/rear? I wish it were about 3 inches wider though and came stock with 37's. It doesn't have quite as much leg room in middle seats as our Expedition or in the back. Expedition is a little longer.
I have a 100% Stock 2003 H2 that slightly over 80k and I honestly love this vehicle more than any other vehicle I have Ever owned. Its comfortable, Handles nice on the roads, Plenty of room. I am 54 years old and had a few cars in my day. In a different category I owned a 1992 Mitsubishi 3000 GT VR 4 and for the time it absolutely was the baddest car on the road PERIOD. Back then hitting a 159 mph topped out and it felt like you were going 60 mph but If you have never owned a Hummer H2 you really should before you slam it.
"We're so effed" Nathan friggin' rocked that in the original video and I'm glad it has been replayed a couple times.
An 08-09 h2 would be awesome. 400 hp, 6 speed tranny, and the interior update. It also came from the factory with 315/70/17 tires, the same as a raptor!
Im loving these hummer episodes keep em up guys. I recently bought a 2003 H2 with 155k miles and couldn't be happier it drives great despite the high mileage. It's my desert, snow, camping. Fishing, offroad fun vehicle. Very fun to drive and take over the road with a nice feeling of being safe and comfortable on long roadtrips with family and friends. Im thinking of dropping a dmax in it one day. This vehicle has performed awesome in dirt, rain, snow and mud. Very fun vehicle to drive and enjoy. I too am making it an overland vehicle. Keep up the good work you guys are awesome!
I have been plowing snow commercially with mine since 2005 and have never had a single replacement part put into it other than windshield wipers and oil filters. 120,000 miles on it and going strong. It’s been bulletproof.
Cheap plastics were removed in the 08 model and power train was massively improved. I had the 03 and now have the 08 and I’ve fallen even more in love with the 08. Hummer could have been successful if they came back because there is so much more technology they could have used to make it better
I have always said the same thing. Unfortunately it was too late
Please sell me your older model
pretty much. The h2 was pretty spartan considering how much it cost back then, regardless of how old it is. With modern turbo engines the H2 could easily get high teens/low 20's MPG
I just purchased one and i love it... wish I had done one sooner
I absolutely love the H2 and I do agree that it would be even more badass if it had a Diesel with an Allison Transmission. Is love to see someone do a swap and put the diesel and Allison trans into a H2!!!!!
It would be great to see it come back, modernized in 2020.
It was my dream car when i was little
Daniel Ramsey 2020!!!! U got my vote...
#makehummergreatagain!
Daniel Ramsey this truck Will never past mode for me even in 2060 people still gonna love them whatever others haters saying.
They should bring it back electric, that would be sick.
My husband and I LOVE our H2. Idk how people can hate them so much, unless gas mileage is the thing that makes you love a vehicle lol. We got it in a trade for a car we were selling- we were going to buy a tahoe or Yukon but honestly I wasn’t that impressed with new or used of those vehicles. The Hummer is way more roomy for our large family and hella comfortable. It can tow like a beast and is badass in the snow. I can see how some people aren’t a fan of the box shape but everyone has their likes and dislikes but I love it!! Never selling it. Why would I get rid of my collectible lol
Always loved them and I will always want one!
jesse robins I can sell y a h3
Me too. Goals
Very nice
okigojuryu 1979 nope. H2 is sweet H3 garbage.
No regrets buying mine...love it....in four years I've had to replace a 60$ window motor and 40$ 4wd actuator
I'm in the UK and as a life long Jeep guy, I kinda like the H2/H3's. Bold and American has its charm!
They are Like Nothing Else!
iVlogBuzz UK, Jeep guy...
*Angrily waves green oval*
CAElite green oval?
iVlogBuzz you know, the good old UK brand you see broken down in and around every green lane and pay'n'play up and down the country.
Can't beat a Land Rover. :D
lol, for sure mate! I've always loved the design of the defender and discovery (until this latest monstrosity). But reliability has plagued people I know with them, oddly most people I know of with any LR product now either work for LR or they're a technician/mechanic.
Honestly, If I could trust it I would. Sadly when I decided on a V8 suv - i chose a Cayenne which has been fantastic on feel and overall reliability. I do look fondly at Discovery 3 & 4 (aka LR 3 and LR4) - but i just can't bring myself to :(
It’s a hummer thing,
You wouldn’t understand.
@Andrew Farrell ... sounds like a cool clothing brand scheme ... I'd definitely wear that on a shirt!!!
Well I got your hummer thing....now it burns when I pee
actually, it's an "Ignorant thing" and many people understand lmao
Yes
Trailer park special
I bought one just yesterday and I don't care what anyone says or how the hummer is portrayed overall. That's my dream truck and I finally have one. I always loved hummers and I always will
Im not a big GM fan but the Hummer was one of my favorites what comes to GM SUVs/Trucks. And to be honest right now is a good time to bring them back cuz offroading is huge now
I got my H2 straight off the show room floor in 2005 and still have it. 0 problems. And I ❤ it. Money well spent!!! Great investment.
Your vehicle is embarrassing garbage.
@@LouisDuran seriously dude😂 got nothing better to do than troll, get a life already......I'll say it again, Louis Duran is an embarrassment equal too yet lesser than garbage.
You are lucky... im a mechanic and i have one very nice customer with an H2 which i have to repair way to often. Some of the repairs the vehicle needed recently... Brake master cylinder leaked power steering fluid so badly the vehicle lost power steering and brake assist (yes this vehicle does not have a normal vacuum brake booster instead it uses the power steering pump pressure to assist), radiator end caps let go and caused a coolant leak (pita to replace with the stupid hood in the way) steering gear box seal failed and leaked, multiple bulb connectors either corroded or melted, multiple steering linkage joints developed play, and some other minor stuff. The repair bill total made me feel so bad for the customer but he was still happy because other shops asked for $500-$800 more to repair the vehicle.
Sounds like you made the repair to my vehicle. In total it cost me 3500 to repair then of course, in my usual fashion the Damn heat didn't work. That cost me an additional 700.
@@shawnjames7261 Im sorry to hear that Shawn. The owner on the H2 i repaired luckly hasnt had any issues since my repairs and the heat worked before and after the repairs. Only thing i could think of that would cost $700 and cause no heat would be the heater core which isnt a common issue on the H2.
But yet if it were a dodge with these same features Nathan would be bragging up and down about how great it all is
And then get it stuck ;-)
Truth
True
I went to school next to the plant where body panels were stamped for many GM's including the preliminary stamping for the H2 before it was announced to the public . I remember we got to do a tour of the plant since I was in robotics and GM had donated $50k that year to our team. We had to sign contracts agreeing to not disclose any information pertaining to what we would see. Anyways, roughly half way through the tour there was a fully assembled H2 body from fresh stamping getting ready to be sent off for painting. No wheel, tires, interior, engine had been installed yet. We asked what that was going to be and they said an announcement would be made soon. I believe this was either late 1999 or early 2000., but it was just a few months before it was made public.
all i can say is i love my h2
I own an H2 and an H3. Both are good off-road vehicles. Both run great but the H3 is underpowered a bit. I have no issues with easily driving or parking the vehicle. It is additionally very comfortable to drive.
Whats engine in ur h3, prolly the 3.5 5cy well ya thats wasn't smart
Hummers and Humvees will and always will be awesome trucks on and off the road!
18:53 > Best part of the video when they pass a built 80 series Land Cruiser.
As an owner of a built 80 Series, I noticed that too and agree 100%!
I got to drive a buddy’s H2 a couple weeks ago and it was really smooth. The vehicle has a lot of amenities and I’m surprised with all the available options it had for its age. Downside was getting in and out of it and he had to replace the transmission around 160,000 miles.
I had a used 03 H2 for a few years and LOVED it. Drove very nice and was very comfy. And it pissed off all the hippies in South Lake Tahoe as an added bonus. TAKE A SHOWER, HIPPIES!!!
O Nathan ripping apart something that isn't a mopar, what a great unbiased segment. That 6.0 and old 4L60 will outlast 2 jeep power trains, but power wagon don't care.
Isn't it a 4l80e?
Lol ya sure. Whatever makes you sleep at night
I agree but not the 4.0l in the old jeeps
@@Welcometofacsistube it's been proven already lol no jeep will outlast one sadly
I never seen a person such as Nathan hate on a car so much.the H2 is one of my favorites
There's definitely a market for a Hummer-like truck, hope something like this is released.
mike wellington Jeep will get their's to market soon and own that space
You mean the Hummer H3T?
they did,,,its called ....UNIMOG
There is a 4XL the biggest SUV in the world with 8.2 Liters engine!
@@neverloosehope4233 The old suburban had an 8.1...
When I was a kid always imagined my self driving an h2 hummer now I see it every day in my car garage and I really enjoy driving it around, I don't understand how some people hate this luxury monster SUV, just don't get it
Nathan says "Let me tell you a story. First of all I'm from LA born and raised." That's the biggest problem!!!
bigears270 couldn't of said it any better!
bigears270 big problem.
Yep
I’m from LA and while I’ve seen a ton of these with stupid ass 24” spinners and shit I’m considering a Between a H2, power wagon or an H3. Not all of us are into chrome rims lol
Amen I’m from NH
shoveling snow chopping wood
Playing hockey off roading all make you appreciate, value, and respect nature, and man’s will and strength to not be limited by it... as much as you can. Only saw one Hummer an H1 red with the truck angled cab totally dope loved everything about it. I was 13 saw my first H2 shortly after that wasn’t a huge fan not as much as the H1 but then came the first time I saw SUT and that was it by far the coolest thing I could ever want to register at the DMV 2016 H2 SUT 45k$!of extras road armor front and rear bumpers delta halogen light bar supercharged with a half blown tranny bought it for 28k and raced a purple 98 corvette up a bridge in Orlando on the first drive home back across the FGL due to the incline we were matched pretty good and stood up to it the whole way. It’s the baddest bitch I have ever seen. Turned down 3 ppl trying to buy it off me at the gas pump for 66k now I think I should have takin it and built up my own but it would be bout the same to put it back where it is now so screw the headache plus you just gotta let those ppl know that some shit just ain’t for SALE you gotta earn IT
I love my 04 h2, it is customized, and it was a mothers day gift lol and I rolled my eyes when i got it, but I love it
Haha that footage of Andre never gets old. I love you guys
I was never a H2 fan, but i bought one over two years ago and i do love it. It is a weird truck for certain! But i have taken it off-road numerous times and actually had no problems in Colorado! Thankfully, made it through the trees bc it was a dirt-bike mainly trail lol. Plus, the interior is nicer than most any other ! I have a 4 inch lift and 37s, and get 13mpg as well
13mpg, how? I dont have the kit you do and never get past 11
I had a 2016 jeep Sahara I sold it bought me a 2009
Hummer sut I'm happy now
H2 aged very well in terms of exterior styling and capabilities. I can't name another SUV that looks cool from 2003 like H2 does. H2 can still look good among the modern styled SUV's. And it's got the most payload of modern SUV's and 6.0 Vortec is damn reliable with GM keeping it till 2020.
I love my H2 HUMMER , and it's easy to park anywhere
soymascabronque bonito No it's NOT easy to park
it's for me ,even with a trailer in the back
I haven't own the H1 or H2 yet, but I really love it. Just practical and good looking militarized/civillian suv. Hopefully, I can own one soon.
The brand Hummer in general should get respect despite the hate. I mean the Hummer fought our wars and now people can own one in the road despite its drawbacks with gas and size. H2 was trying to fit more into places where the H1 couldn't go because of the width of the H1. In all honesty, I would have both. I have the 08 H2. H3 is more for the people who don't like the size of the H1 and H2 combined and has a optional manual transmission.
NihselAuto am general humvee and hummer are not the same thing. Sure gm provided a lot of parts but they didn't build the humvee
AM General Started the Hummer brand in '92 before GM bought it in '99. Check your Hummer history.
NihselAuto am general did not design the h2 l, gm did. Thats all that matters no h2 was an am general h2.
I like gm but without a diesel power train, and with the overblown price and Hollywood presence. This truck flopped and rightfully so. The FJ and the Wrangler trumps this truck in spades
If you were a real car guy and mod vehicles, you can engine swap for a Duramax diesel on the H2. It can happen. Besides, the H2 isn't recognized by Hollywood anymore since they started going to GWagens. Also, the wrangler is not in the same class as the H2, more into the H3 which is really not a true Hummer.
Kyle Vanwinkle am general designed the H1 and H2. Which is why hummers have the 7 slot grille
you guys should do a piece on that 1998 subaru imprezza hatchback that was riding behind you, that thing goes 80 miles an hour through a foot of snow, i love that car, mine is 20 years old and held together with spit and duct tape and still runs awesome!
I have an h2 and i learned that people that hate on h2 cant afford one.. and for sure cant park one...
Great video and if you love your Hummer it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks can't wait to see the video on all the mods. 👍👍👍
I will drive an H2 the rest of my life...Best vehicle ever built. Makes u feel safe knowing you can handle any circumstances in this ride...my wife has one also....it truly is Like nothing else.
100/ooP/C CORRECT
Only those who own one, can understand how Correct you are. Make sure while driving, to continue that flashing light to another fellow hummer on the road, every time you see one (Family of Capable) and make the envies who can't afford it, even more jealous & mad ;)
Saabkyle04’s dad used to have a 2003 HUMMER H2 from 2003 up until 2004
I love the H2’s but I really want an H1 in my life!
813Productions: www.govplanet.com
H1’s suck they are terrible over 45 mph and uncomfortable. I’m with you I wanted one then I drove in one talk to any ex military they suck to get in and out of all the time they are not comfortable and you have to work on them and enjoy working on them all the time they rattle loose literally the bolts and nuts need to be checked monthly which isn’t a problem cuz you’re working on them every 3 days doing routine maintenance anyway. Not that I don’t have to work on my H2 SUT but I have to do fun stuff not become an active diesel mechanic and prime my diesel or bleed my brake lines every 25 days. Pipedream cool back problems YES and money problems look up the cool inflation hubs online 4,500$ for just one is about the not coolest thing ever other than the powerstearing pump failing every 60 days and sitting in a non adjustable metal seat that makes you walk away from you car like your tailbone has been sitting ona jack hammer all day or you just been pushin cattle ina aged western saddle! I just came up with that lol
No, you don't, unless it's a 2006. They are notoriously slow and have no seating room. And lack of aftermarket parts and no mechanics will touch it, so if you buy it, better be advanced with car mechanical knowledge yourself. Portal axles will not be happy on the highway. It will be just good as a city crawler.
@@PLAYDUMB Amen. I cited same points without even reading your response first. H1 is a terrible city/highway vehicle. It's a designated offroader/ranch vehicle.
All great points in the video. Probably no one will read this but ok. I own a Jeep Rubicon 04 and a H2 hummer 06. I have owned many jeeps from the CJ, TJ and YJ and here is my take. If I am going off roading I want my Jeeps, though the Hummer is capable it is not nearly as capable as my Rubicon. For winter road conditions in NE Pa the Hummer is in a completely different class than my Jeeps. I have hit many unplowed road situations and my Jeeps are squirrely though capable, the Hummer however, does not even seem to recognize there is snow on the ground. Have never even had to put it in 4 wheel drive.I have buried even my lifted Jeeps in the snow to include the Rubicon and had to pull it out with the Hummer.Just me experience with the two different vehicles.
It’s all in the weight. I concur, I’ve owned CJ’s,YJ’s, TJ’s, JK’s, and XJ’s. Jeeps are extremely capable off-road, there’s no debate. The short wheel base, thin body, high air intake and light weight make it great out in the woods but in the snow??? They are squirrely for sure. My XJ (Cherokee sport) was the best out of all due to its slightly heavier weight. I would imagine these H2’s cruise through the snow like nothing.
I love that car
I love my H2 never have heard that it was the most hated truck till now !
Grumpy Nathan.
I agree with everything he said though.
hossguitar He doesn’t cave into BS.
He needs his chrome buffed and chill out.
He's literally saying everything I would say to someone arguing for an H2 lol. Never was a fan of them.
@@MDHenry4 8
Never had a problem with mine ever , best vehicle I've ever owned
I own a 2005 H2 Hummer SUT. And you either love Hummers or you don't. And I don't take my off road to climb mountains. But its great on snow days and pulling my trailers and love the joy ride with all window down with sun roof open on pleasant weather. And having a back up camera is a must.
It’s 2019 and I still want one.
Me too !
I'll be honest, I don't know as much about cars (let along off-road ones) as the majority of commenters here, but I definitely appreciate the back and forth.
No matter what kind of product you're reviewing, pointing out both the pros and cons is always important. Thank you for doing just that!
Whats not to like ?
Its cool as hell
Good Job Andre !
Blocked User this comment should get u unblocked.
I had both...burnnt out the trans trying to get out of 30" snow...my hummer bust through in seconds...neighbors were shocked. Both were stock. Still have the h2 sut...jeep been fixed and sold. Jeep is too small for me to tow, need a hellcat in it. I got my H2 reprogrammed with 3 tunes.....my economy tune i get 16 miles per gallon. Better than Tundras. The Hummer DOES need a beefier front suspension cause the weight. They both have plus and minuses. Plan to buy my daughter a jeep in a few months. Love the show. Keep reviewing.
I like jeeps but I choose a h2 with 36's and I love it. I'm a corvette owner also I am more excited about my Hummer than my vette even.
I have owned a 2006 H3 which kept me safe in 2 bad accidents. Now i have a 2007 H2 Luxury. Love this truck. I have owned expeditions and Navigators. A Tahoe and Suburban. By far my fav is my H2.
How soon will the overland project begin and what front suspension upgrade kit are you guys going with?
It’s ok Andre.I have an H3.I love what this vehicle can do.A buddy of mine has an H2.I don’t think either one of us will ever get rid of them.
I bought my 2002 hummer new it has 340,000 miles with original brakes and only the third set of tires !!
Yeah original brakes my ass
How many miles now?
I own an H2. I have people tellign me they love it every day. I know one thing for sure, if they bring it back people will buy it.
I don't understand all the hate for the H2..... I've always liked em and most of everyone I know likes them. I'd love to have one
Great review showing the pros and cons! One truck that has a great balance between the bigger than life cool factor and function is the Ford Raptor. Very comfortable as a daily driver, Great offroad, looks badass, and very useful as a truck also.
So you knock the hummer for those who owned them but then neglect #1 every stock wrangler leased out to some HS girl and #2 every lifted wrangler that has never been off road...
Spencer Peat so true
Yup. A lot of pavement princesses out here in SoCal
omg, matches the corvette front lid opening..that's a sign. that's my next duo.
Baldy is such a whine bag!! I'm with Andre, from my personal experience the H2 is one of the coolest modern S.U.V.s produced
well no reason to insult..I love hummers too..but hair & prostate, two subjects men shouldnt jk
Is it safe?😕😕
I got my wife a 2008 H2. SHE LOVES IT! It's also her dream car. Happy wife....
I have one, I love it, nuff said
Been driving h2 gor 5 years now 90 mph on hwy no problem been to Colorado twice ,okc ,Tennessee Corpus 50+ times love it snd people fear it oh 34ft rv towed with ease those who hate it is probably because cant afford it
You, like so many don't have a friggin clue what you are talking about when yapping about the H2.
First, you said in the video, like when you drowned the H2. YET, you showed you drowning an HumVee H1 not an H2 at all.
Do you know the difference?
I have owned a 2007 H2 SUV for 11 years. I have driven it from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean, through 27 states EIGHT TIMES, in virtually every horrible on-road and off-road scenario one can imagine outside of climbing sandstone in Moab.
I did get it stuck once in my son's yard in Crisfield, Md, where he had two feet of snow on top of pure marsh mud, but since then, I have not been stuck in some pretty obscene conditions.
Is the H2 an H1 HumVee? NOPE! IT WAS NEVER SUPPOSED TO BE.
Also, I read another WRONG assumption below that the H2 is just an Avalanche with an ugly body. You know, when you don't know crap, you should not type crap.
FACT IS, the H2 is actually three different frames melded into one. NEITHER of the frames are from an Avalanche, the facts are... The H2 was built under contract by AM General. The H2's frame assembly is made up of 3 sections. The front uses a modified GM 2500-Series HD frame, the midsection is custom built for the H2, and the rear section uses a modified GM 1500-Series frame which is upgraded for the 8,600 pounds gross vehicle weight. (Truck weight, 6500 lbs.)
The H2 was nominated for the North American Truck of the Year award for 2003. Rod Hall racing won their class several times in Hummer H2s in the Baja 1000. DEMZ DA FAX JAX.
Oh yeah, and that horrible mileage nonsense. Every horrible mileage evaluation I have seen is from an H2 that has not been taken care of and likely running on 3 cylinders.
My 2007 H2 SUV on my annual run from my home in Las Vegas to my son's home in Crisfield, Maryland gives the following gas mileage. If I take the southern route, I-10 which is a little more smooth and not as many mountains, I get 19.2 mpg AVERAGE. As computed and on two runs, I did the math via analog calc. When I take the northern route, I-40 through the mountains, I get 15.9 to 16.5 mpg AVERAGE. This is a 6500 pound truck and I have been told some V8 Jeeps and Ford 350 HD get worse mileage than that, so what is all of the bitching about regarding mileage. I will tell you... THOSE IGNORANT OF THE FACTS, like the guy who said he drowned an H2 at the beginning of the video, when it was really a HumVEE H1 and the guy who said the H2 is just an Avalanche with an ugly body, that's who says such stupid crap.
Am I an H2 or Hummer FANBOY? NO!, My H2 was given to me as a gift, one of 54 cars I have owned. I happened to like the body style and though I made it known from the day it was introduced that I liked it, I never made any effort to buy one, but... fortunately, my wife did a lot of traveling and one Sunday she said, "What would it cost me to get a really good foot massage, before I fly to Phoenix for four days?" I said, "A Hummer!" The next morning, when I was driving her to McCarran Airport so she could fly to Phoenix, she said, "If you're not doing anything today, why don't you go over to Desert BMW and by that black Hummer you were looking at? My treat!" So... I did!
Of the 54 cars I have owned, my Corvette and my Hummer H2 have been the best, economically and performance wise. The Corvette in three years cost me $130 for a brake caliper, the Hummer H2 cost me in three years a left front window regulator $119. Since then, I have had to replace the right rear window regulator and I can tell you, there simply is not an easier vehicle to change out window regs on than a Hummer. Takes 15 minutes and two sockets.
Worst car, my Jaguar XJ 6 Vanden Plas, $1,600 brake job every six months and over heats in the desert.
My Hummer H2 has been one of the most economical vehicles and most reliable vehicles I have owned. The greatest expense I incur with mine is WASHING IT, because it is black, I live in the Mojave Desert and all of the water in Vegas has a very high calcium content, which leaves spots on black vehicles. I spent $50 to $75 every two weeks on washing the Hummer. GAS? Not a problem for me, it performs as well or better than most trucks half it's weight. Performance. does very well. It has never left me anywhere. Expense? Two $119 and $220 window regulators in 11 years my total out of pocket for repairs.
My H2 is perhaps my favorite of the 54 cars I have owned. Cost Effectively, only my Corvette beat the H2, Jaguar XJ6, T-Bird, Caddy, Camaro, Ford F150, Ford Vans, Chevy Van, GTO, Merkur, 77 Trans Am, and three dozen more all hard their share of issues.
MY Hummer? I've learned to like it very much. Not a Hummer fan, I just loathe bullshit reporting, spitting and spewing when it is not necessary, except to garner attention.

Yes! The Achilles Heal is the tie rod, but it can easily be strengthened as you mentioned in the video. ruclips.net/video/TdWU5ofQh8Y/видео.html --- ruclips.net/video/nXWuJuSDsDg/видео.html WHAT THE HELL ELSE DO YOU WANT FROM THIS TRUCK? Stop being ridiculous!
That camera does it no justice. You have a literal football field of space between the driver and passenger. Lose something in the back? Its gone forever bub.
I loved My H2 when I owned one.
Good
Have you been able to compare the H2 with 6.0 and 4 spd vs the newer models with the 6.2 and 6 spd?
Diesel with the Alison transmission? Yeah that's why my dream truck is a H1 Alpha!
I think there are some customade ones with Duramax and Allison
Yea there is company that does it.
I’ve had a few of the Hummer H2’s their GREAT..
I love my H2/SUT...only those who do not have a Hummer hate them! Buy one and experience real love.
Bought mine yesterday. Love it
@Gino Khalifa 19000.....125k miles...
I love it in the snow. If you know you know, if you dont you can search H2 in deep snow and check it out. Nothing keeps up as long as you're on the factory bfg's. Well I've had new factory stock raptors keep up with good drivers. Ive had lifted modded raptors fall way behind. Ive driven past stranded plow trucks with snow up to my doors no problem. What I'm trying to say is that its the snow KING!
Hummer H2 is like Trump. People hate it because "they said mean things about it". My friends said the SAME thing about my H2...until they got a ride in it. Smooth, quiet and very capable. I love my Hummer H2...chicks love it...dudes love it (but of course they are driving what everyone else is driving and act like they don't) The problem with people is they want to compare this to the original H1...when in reality...the H2 can do ALOT more of what the H1 can do. Kinda like a pros/cons thing...Oh yeah...if you are worried about MPG...then shouldn't be driving anything with a V8. All my trucks got 10-13 mpg. If I wanted to save on MPG, id get a RAV 4 AWD and hope no one would rely on me for space, pulling them out or going over 100 (which the H2 does) Oh I might add...if you want a GOOD off-road vehicle...go Land Cruiser 80 series and above...but of course something will be an issue opposite of the H2. For the record, I have a Wrangler TJ lifted with 35s and its loud, windy, non-economical and bad on gas...so...yeah. If you went Wrangler-you would suffer the same but be just like everyone else at the mall...
tangled Line preach it brother
How often do you actually off road it? A vehicle that isn't ridiculously heavy would be better, It takes that big V8 to get it's ass above 50 mph at all. This is the true mall truck
"chicks love it". Oh god the cringe lol. Can guarantee that no 'chicks' have thrown themselves at this guy, least of all due to his truck. Also the fact he has brought up Trump in a discussion about a mid 2002 Truck.
Amen brother!
In my experience, chicks do love it! Much more than my F-150 or the Silverado before that.
SUVs, Crossovers and Pickups have taken over the automobile industry. This is a perfect time for GM to bring back the Hummer brand. They can bring back an improved, lighter H2, and H3. They can even put out smaller crossovers and name them H4 or even H5 models to compete against Jeep. I always wanted a Hummer H3 Alpha.
I love my 2006 H2 Hummer
I own an 04 H2 with just over 200k miles on it and love ittt its my daily driver . I had also owned both H1 and 3 but find the H2 alot better for me ... keep up the maintenance and it will run for ever ...
I think the H2 is awesome. Anyone who says otherwise is a hater 😂👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻
TIGER x GAMING to bad you can't see how many dislikes this comment had....
TIGER x GAMING I like it I'm thinking about getting a h3t
TIGER x GAMING Two guys from my fire station use them because they destroy anything in the snow at high speeds. They respond the fastest (volunteer station) and it literally could save lives.
TIGER x GAMING I'm a hater. Does the fact that I worked on for a living help?
Justin Madsen get a h3t alpha! The 5 cyl is ok but the extra cost of v8 is worth it
A lot of people hate the H2 because they can’t afford to buy one😜 and I do!!! ... love my H2 for ever🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
Aztec. Now that is embarrassing.
C Steele haha! So true, i owed one of thos when I was like 18, ugly as sin... but than Walter White made it ok... lol
I might prefer it over this. Not sure why lol
The notion that the H2 is an embarrassing vehicle is quite frankly delusional, and nothing more than a very odd opinion.
H2 is not difficult to park. I think you need a Pink Miata you sissy.
o2man98 he isn’t wrong, ive got an H2 and it’s much easier to park than the 2007 f250 I had before it, and not much more difficult than my 2006 BMW X3
Shane Terry I have an H2 also. Bought new 2007. Parking is a snap. Visibility is good as well if you know how to use mirrors. Cargo and passenger room is great. Did a family trip from WI to VA last summer with 5 people and all gear fit inside.
o2man98 that was supposed to go to “I am Sekou”. Does yours have the power folding mirrors like the one in the video? How do you make them fold? I know how to make the glass move but didn’t know you could push a button to fold the whole thing in. I’ve got a 2004, and as far as I know it’s for all the options like full leather, heated seats, sunroof, air suspension (that the dealership I bought it from converted to coil springs because they were leaking). Though it doesn’t have the spare tire carrier and brush guard but if I remember correctly those were dealership add on accessories, not factory installed.
o2man98 I mostly use it to tow my horse trailer and go off-roading, but I wanna get a snorkel, upgrade the front suspension components, and seal it up everywhere so water doesn’t damage things (like fuse boxes under the hood and my doors so water doesn’t get in).
It's not hard to park if you know how to drive.
Luv the H2, always have !!! Come on 2021
I know you asked for no hummer reviews BUT sorry I have 2 in my house. I bought my daughter hers first I was sold on the safety features (little 2006 H3). Then about a month later I found my 2009 H3T (1 of the 56 ever made with a manual transmission and to make it a little more rare on of only 11 with cast iron differential.
Great trucks I have had minor repairs only for them both. Gas mileage has been super I would only trade for a hummer HX (only prototypes were made.
Animalhouse TX 😍😍😍 I have the H2 and bought my daughter the H3 😍😍😍
You will never know how good the H2 is until you own one. BTW it look hedious without the steel front bumper. But with it looks awesome!!
Why didn't GM pair this bad boy with a 6.6L Duramax Diesel with the Heavy Duty 6 speed Allison Transmission? It would have been game over.
The H2 isn´t the most embaresing car... the H3 is.
The H3T (the pickup truck bed version) was actually pretty cool though.
I will give the H3 credit for having a manual while the H1 and H2 doesn't. I mean why not have a Hummer with a stick.
Overengineering The h3 looked the best, especially the truck version blacked out but that's about it lol.
The h3t alpha with the V8 and a slant back over the truck bed is pretty sweet
Alpha with the swaybar disconnect is awesome. Only a couple of years had it I think?
I have an H2. Has a cargo rack with a 5k watt genny and gas cans on it. Tows my off road spec travel trailer and yes front and rear suspension replaced plus tye rods. But I love this truck. Mines an 06 black etc. Forget the diesel. Too expensive to maintain. As is I have a fancy Blazer and am satisfied.
