Matches randomly thrown together with no rhyme or reason is a Tony Kahn specialty. You can't get that anywhere else, folks! You'll only get meaningless matches along with short, inconsistent, and poor angles in AEW. But don't worry, it's great and you'll enjoy it immensely! Just ask Tony and he'll tell you.

I wonder if the folks at NJPW regret their partnership with AEW yet? It’s done nothing for them but it has provided AEW with talent for Tony to swipe.
The former NJPW President saw this coming and didn't want to work with AEW for this exact reason, but everyone shouted him down, and he got fired. Rossy didn't trust Tony, and he's gone from STARDOM. Forbidden Door has basically become Tony's yearly scouting report for who he can raid from Japan next, and nobody can stop him.

Anyway it'll be interesting. There's even rumours wwe is talking to AAA (since Andrade showed up). So imagine AAA backed by wwe vs CMLL backed by aew. 😂 what a fascinating time we live in.

i enjoy Brian Last, but it is so distracting when he yells about noises the listeners can't hear. Either Jay Sharknado needs to stop editing the noises out so Brian doesn't sound like a lunatic when he points them out or reacts to them, or Brian needs to realize that the noises will be edited out before the show airs and just ignore them while he's recording. Or go back to pounding his desk as a non-verbal cue that an sound edit needs to be made in lieu of actually commenting about the noise.
The problem is that microphone and headset technology has brilliant noise suppression, so noise doesn't even have to be edited out now. But, for the person hearing it in real time, it's very loud, and you naturally assume it's being recorded. The post-production crew probably thinks it's funnier to let Brian keep thinking it is.
Everything happens for a reason. There are genuine times where Brian's noise in his BG doesn't get picked up, but you'll never know.
For me, it's more enjoyable to listen to stories about classic wrestling. AEW needs a rest. (Rest in Peace)

Apparently, tickets for Wembley aren't selling as fast as they were last year.
Last year they had 70k. This year, they're at 40k. Not a good sign.
I think if it becomes obvious that Ospreay will win the world title at the event then it will still sell out. But then if Tony pulls a WWE and screws over the home town guy it will really hurt AEW in that market in the long term.

I stopped watching in September
I think it’s more like they are burning out a smaller territory. You can’t run your biggest show every year at the same venue and expect record gates and attendance every time. First time is a novelty, diminishing returns will kick in every time after.

This is one of the worst booked ppvs I’ve ever seen. The fans will hype up the matches because there will be nonstop moves but I’m disgusted at the mere sight of it

AEW doesn't put much work into any of their booking, though. Forbidden Door is par for the course. That's AEW in a nutshell: Good matches I enjoy watching but have no investment in 30 seconds after the pin, much less by Dynamite.

They really shoukd stop calling it Forbidden Door. Just call it what it is: Tony's Foreign Talent Audition. Cause you know almost anyone who shows up on it is gonna be signed within like 2 months. All the AEW fans talk about how good AEW is for wrestling, but the reality is he's sapping other promotions dry way worse than WWE is. He signs away everyone's talent, then jobs them out on free tv.
Forbidden Door, that special time of year for AEW when matches mean even less than usual.

I live on Long Island. There's currently plenty of tickets left and they cut off most of the UBS arena. The tickets going for like $24 and I still have no interest in going. I could go smoke a few big Janice's and watch WWE on peacock, instead. Much better time too.
