"They have to connect with you, otherwise they're watching fireworks, and we really only watch fireworks once a year." Cody Rhodes WWE Champion
The WWE is reaching milestones and peaking at levels that haven't been reached since the old days of icons and legends in the ring due to the intriguing storylines, big names and fan loyalty that's second to none. Attending their first live WWE event, Ryan talks about the electricity in the arena and how the entire night kept you on the edge of your seat.
Ryan, Channing and Fred invite the current WWE Champion Cody Rhodes to Fanatics Headquarters in NYC to talk about his rise to stardom, the state of the WWE, honoring his father Dusty Rhodes’ legacy, how he secured a victory at WrestleMania LX, revealing the secret to success in Pro Wrestling.
The most recent WrestleMania showcased WWE phenoms alongside current stars, and Cody Rhodes shocked the world when he defeated Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship belt. With the return of The Rock to that massive event, Cody goes in-depth on how at one moment he thought the odds were against him to win the belt as he describes what it was like to have the biggest movie star on the planet and man who broke barriers in pro wrestling come back to challenge the throne.
Riding the highs and lows of his career, getting to the top was a tough journey but staying there is even harder. Cody talks about his connection to the fans keeps him going, and shares a never-told-before story that provides insight into who Cody is not just as the people's champion but as a man too.
Being the son of a former superstar is no easy feat, and Rhodes talks about honoring his father’s legacy at Madison Square Garden and continues into a conversation about nepotism in sports with the recent news of Bronny James’ being drafted to the Lakers alongside his father Lebron James, Cody describes the effects of being a Nepo child but is clear that your last name may get you recognized and open doors, but hard work and respect are what earn your spot to stay there.
Now an Executive Vice President at AEW, Cody looks at wrestling not just from the entertainment side but studies the business side with strong focus on connections with fans and driving revenue. Rhodes talks about being the face and heel in sports, and how the good ones can be both as he is capitalizing on his beloved stardom status with a looming question, not if but when will he step in the ring with The Rock to settle the score once and for all.
New episodes drop on Tuesdays at 12 p.m. ET and Fridays at 3:30 p.m ET on RUclips, with audio available on all streaming platforms including Apple, Spotify and Amazon.

Cody winning one of the best main events in Wrestlemania history to finally finish the story What an emotional roller coaster ride that whole storyline & match was.
Have you rewatched the match? I didn't really get a chance to process everything as it happened live, the match Cody and Roman put on before the shenanigans went on was like a stroll through wrestlemania history. It was a masterpiece. edit: by shenanigans, I simply mean the (predictable) outside interference stuff. I don't mean to imply I didn't enjoy every second of it. I definitely did.
it was the worst wrestlemania main events ever.
@@hbass8299 my comment and yours are a good view into the diversity of opinions in the wrestling community.

Not Goldberg 😂
@@carlosnavajr8847Why not?
Goldberg ok but not Steve and Taker level
I’m so glad they finally fit a WWE superstar there.
Man Pivot y'all always get the perfect guests on the pod this should be good he has an interesting story
I would’ve never imagined Cody Rhodes being one of the faces of wrestling right now. That is crazy development 😂😂
Is it crazier than DX running developmental and main roster?

When Cody start his career in the WWE,was a mid card wrestler, after the stardust gimmick didn't aged well. But Cody didn't gave up. Started from the independent wrestling, betting on himself and recreate his own career from the beginning. And some years later finish his story and became a WWE champion. He also seems a very good person in his normal life, down to earth and the most important he hates racism.
Cody be dressed like a mafia boss 😂😂 my boy be clean though
😂😂 on god
Nah. He just dresses like a grown ass man
Ric Flair and the 4 Horsemen would dress the same way. All dressed to the nines as if they're going to paint the town red every day, everywhere, every time.
Still a MIDCARDER

Glad that Wrestling are getting platforms to speak and gaining respect.
People bitch about it’s not real but none of them could ever do it. I know I could never do that
@@Sambam1981takes heart, mind & soul to face the bright lights and big crowds like they do. Takes guts to bump like crazy in that squared circle. They're practically superhuman on a level of exposure alone. They perform whether on a 100% or not. They travel all over the world entertaining millions upon millions of people. And every once in awhile there's a couple who make magic in the ring to the point it becomes a talking point even when the performers r long gone. They're one of a kind in my book.
Being in the arena for WrestleMania 40 was something I can't put into words... It may be biased but for my money that might have been the greatest conclusion to a story in WrestleMania history. The sheer emotion over the course of a near 2 year story, the characters involved, the real life heat... Just can't write stuff like that
Roman reigns we need him on pivot !?
fact.
It's gotta happen
Needs to be acknowledged

Acknowledge the Tribal Chief!! ☝🏼☝🏼☝🏼
Yes! More wrestler interviews! 👏🏽
agreed... if y'all land roman reigns or better yet the undertaker.. y'all set for life!
Yeah
💯.. So many great options too.. I for one would love Triple H on here. I could listen to him talk about the business for hours.
I’ve watched several Cody Interviews. This by far has got to be the best and most honest. 2 of my favorite people with Ryan and Cody
I like the men branching out with their interviews. And this interview with Mr. Rhodes was sweeet! I don't remember going to basket ball or foot ball games. But, I sure remember going to see wrestling when I was younger. Too bad professional wrestling doesn't come to my city anymore.
As I’m thinking to myself that the pivot should have more wrestlers on the show THIS pops up on my feed 😂😂😂 y’all are goated 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This what makes "PIVOT" much more diverse and dynamic!! They are for EVERYONE
That Whoa! Pop from his entrance music is top tier
Phenomenal interview with its Cody Rhodes, he’s the man, so well spoken, classy, humble, the perfect ambassador for the WWE. Thanks for having him on the show guys 👏👏👏👏
Yes sir Cody on the pivot
This is legit the best Podcast going right now. And will be for a long time
Guys Cody kept kayfabe for the rock !!! We’re getting Cody vs the rock very very soon!
you see the vision
It was Kayfabe but always truth how you felt about the Rock
Can't wait to see the Behind the Scenes documentary that's coming out tomorrow night, it'll be interesting to see how they portray what happened behind the scenes leading to them changing the Main Event.
Cody Raheem Rhodes 😂👏
Side note: if WWE posted a video of Roman and Cody watching their matches back, that’d be incredible 🔥
ok this whole interview was AMAZING!
Shoutout to Cody. He got my son in too wrestling and it’s cool having that nostalgic feel.
Can we get a hardy boyz podcast ? Possibly Brock lesnar, John cena, Roman reigns or randy orton aswell?
Brock's in the middle of a court case rn also, he's not a people person to begin with.
No
You know damn well Jeff's gonna come to the interview three weeks late! 😂😂😂
Cena, and Roman yes, but we don’t need all the rest.
I just want to say I appreciate you all showing your respect for not only Cody but the business, because taking the time to do your research, I love that. This was a great interview. I hope you all get more wrestlers on the show.
Been waiting on the WWE crossover!
It's always cool to see wrestlers being interviewed by other athletes who aren't wrestlers. You can see the respect for the work that's put in, the travel, injuries, people wanting stuff from you, all that. Great show guys! Cody deserves the spot he's in, hope he stays healthy and keeps going.
Cody is WWE's new era of Wrestling
Oh yeahhhh streets needed this one
Cody, Cody Rhodes! Cody, Cody Rhodes.. face or heal we love him anyway❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
Seeing Cody Rhodes and Fred Taylor in the same room is crazy. The Khans about to tear down Fred's throne room in the stadium 🤣

Most people don't have a clue who Brad Armstrong is.
You could see him remembering what happened/who was involved in wrestlemania XX and decided to only bring up X lol
I saw that too lmaooo. He had to stop instantly hahaha
It's cool to see our African American champ speaking in interviews
Cody is great. He mentioned that the older wrestlers might of been better looking bunch of guys, I believe the newer generation is nicer looking and I'm 57. This is actually Lego ships mother speaking.
This was an awesome surprise! I constantly love the variety of guests yall have. It was great getting to learn more about Cody, especially since I dont follow wrestling like I did when I was growing up. Humble guy continuing the legacy and this makes me hope that yall get Randy Orton on at some point as well.
I love Cody so much ❤
Cody finally at the cook out
Cody is so professional 👏
Ryan looked good with the belt tho. Damn. 🔥 Codyyyyy!!
This is great.. Cody on the pivot.. GRADE A
I'm loving these Pivot/Wrestling crossovers!!! Keep em coming, guys!!!
So awesome you got the American nightmare on the pod 🔥
The fact that he said Connor Mcrgregor before Lebron is crazy lmao!!
Conor Mcgregor has more charisma than Lebron that’s why
Cody Rhodes. Wow, this is a surprise, no cap
Cody is very authentic!! Dope interview Champ!!! 🙌🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
12:11 my stupid ass thought Cody was gonna mention Benoit
Homelander/Bullet Club Cody is gonna be the most hated heel in WWE
To not have Steve Austin on the Mount Rushmore of wrestlers is absurd! Great episode!
Kind of shocked. He was talking about numbers a lot. Austin’s numbers shatter everyone’s, including the highest before him in Hogan. If it’s a honest Rushmore, taking into account household names, money, promos, in ring, legacy, and what they meant and did for the wrestling business, the list is Hogan, Flair, Austin, and Rock. Even then, one can argue about Flair in terms of numbers, one can say Cena is more famous and made more, but that’s when legacy and influence come into play. Cena made more, but there would be nothing to make without a guy like Flair paving the way for you to make it in the first place. Those 4 are THE guys. Not Cena, Taker, Bret, Shawn, all guys who I love, but the names are Hogan, Flair, Austin and Rock, bar none.
I’m right there with you. I love Cody and I know it’s HIS Mt Rushmore, but come on man! lol
@christopherdykes7298 Maybe because Austin refused to show up at Mania for him lmaooo. Just kidding, Cody has praised Austin alot in the past though. Called him the biggest box office draw
Loved it. I am a wrestling fan from the age of 8. This is awesome thanks. Wow!!
Cody used to be so weak when I was watching wrestling, I never thought I would see him as WWE champion, congrats 🫡
sooooo there was real beef between rock and cody or is my boy just keeping kayfabe alive lmao
Its a bit of both, for sure.
Can we get Derek Jeter and Aaron Judge please
No win a chip first
I’m a Cody Crybaby 😢
oh shit cody rhodes went to the pivot
Top 3 interview easily . No pandering at all. And no fake deep take from Ryan
The wrestlemania that just happened with rhodes winning and the rock, undertaker, cena making a appearance one for the record books
I would never have thought professional wrestling would give me 90’s nostalgia again. HHH is killing it as the CCO
Yo this show is different you 3 guys really making a difference and your impact on the culture is big more people should tap in….a channel not just for us but all people.ya helped me out when I was depressed and got me through it,I came to realize everybody have upsets and mistakes but it’s all about how u deal with it
"Thighs right by the cotton"
Chan out the gate with it. 😭
Cody is the best.
Y'all really get everyone on here I love y'all podcast ‼️ keep shining & grinding 💪
Always a great interview with Cody but this has to be my favourite of all of his interviews so far. What a great storyteller.
More wrestlers please
Great interview. You guys are awesome. ❤
The Pivot & Pat Macfee show are my favorite ain't nobody touching them frfr
This was a dope interview
Get randy orton or john cena next
Tbh the swerve for cody to finish the story was the fact that after the loss against roman at wm39 people couldnt handle another loss so he had to finish it if not now then never.
The rock stepping in and creating uncertainty made the eventual finish even better
This is 🔥🔥
I could listen to that guy talk wrestling all day.
That raw era and Monday night wars is special. Idk if any era moving forward can top that.
Great interview with Cody!!! Thank you
That Bart Simpson shirt 🔥
At the 50 minute mark was that a shoot?
Fantastic interview!
When I left WWE I was doing some non sense 😂
Cody caught himself and didn't mention how mania 20 ended
He who shall not be named 🤣🤣

Get Trick Williams on the pod. That's my guy.
He seems like a cool azz dude! He has the lisp just like his dad who I used to love watching. BUT, there will never be like the old days no matter how much these guys try! I remember when I was in the Army at For Bragg, NC the WWF came to our base to celebrate us troops and up close we got to see; Brutus the Barber Beefcake, The Road Warriors, Sting, The Bushwackers, Ravishing Rick Rude, Mr. Perfect, Hacksaw Jim Dungon, Goldberg, Hercules just to name a few. One of the best days of my life in the military.
The Undertaker must be next!!! OMG this takes me back to watching this w my Son when he was younger!!!!
