The fact that turn heel it's always the way to impulse your carreer, shows you the difficult of make a great babyface or a great hero. People gets easily tired of the good guys, and at the same time they can consume a villain character all of his carrer and never get tired. That's why when a great babyface appear, it's a lot more special to me than when a great heel appears, basically because having a great bad guy it's just normal in the company and in wrestling in general. I disagree. Cody doesn’t even look like the “dominant” heel type. Roman actually was this, but he cheats because he CAN, not because he always has to. Roman can and has won clean before. I think heel Cody doesn’t need to cheat, but he should rig match rules in his favor and be someone that is able to take full advantage of the set rules of the match to his advantage. He’d have the cunning of Edge, but he’d actually be winning “clean” since he’s still technically following the rules. This would allow him to “rightfully” say that he has never cheated in a match unlike someone like Reigns who always needed help. Then to add more layers, they could give Cody some matches where he absolutely brutalizes his opponents just to show how ruthless he can be when he chooses to be.

Consider other unstoppable types of characters. Goldberg, Lesnar, prime Cena, Undertaker, Triple H (kinda), Kane, Mark Henry, etc. They have way more presence than Cody. Not even Orton back in the day was booked as a “dominant” heel despite him being booked as a complete sociopath with anger issues. I could see Cody being a heel similar to that version of Randy, just with more charm. Also, Cody needs a new finisher.

i think they will make his heel turn gradual just like they did with kevin owens, culminating somewhere around wrestlemania. now is not the time. we already got owens as a heel, and randys heel turn has already been hinted at and im assuming it will happen before cody turns heel. i think they want that cody vs orton match at wrestlemania, where cody is the underdog and orton is this menacing, twisted heel. the fact that they brought back the piledriver for this feud between the three of them is a sign of the things to come. its kinda of a weird situation, though. cus you have kevin owens now as the fan favorite because he is actually making sense and is getting over with the fans more than cody, and on another hand you have cody rhodes who just yapping his ass off and being a politician and fans are getting kinda sick of it, and then you have randy who will probably want to punt everyone once he comes back.

I think the best way for Cody to go heel is gradually. Like the match with KO is him dipping into his emotions, maybe even KO showing color. Cody realizes that it is very efficient to "hurt" his opponents. All the while he is justifying it to the fans, but as each title defense progresses, his actions become more and more unhinged. Maybe even throw in some wrestlers that say "fuck that, I don't want to fight Cody"

It's up to Triple H to: ∙ Create larger-than-life characters ∙ Create compelling episodic television ∙ Make better use of the limited time he has If he doesn't know how to do this, then he needs to hire people that do. I just realized the Star Wars Luke Skywalker comparisons, I was about to say this before I heard you say the rock compared Cody to him. I was about to go into the whole breakdown, actually I still will. So Roman Reigns is the big bad for years and years and years and then Cody comes along with his blonde hair thinking to turn him back to the light, Roman destroys him the first time they meet, Cody goes on a year-long journey to get back to the top separate from Roman. Roman even encouraged the name of Cody's father. The dark lord of the sith, AKA The Rock comes back and helps his Padawan; Roman. Annoyingly this leads to Roman losing everything and then coming back to the side of the light. Cody is now in the head Jedi.
At Wrestlemania 42 CM Punk faces Cody in a rematch for the undisputed title and he puts his career on the line. The fans turn on Cody, so he turns on Punk and retires him.
wwe has no necessity at least now for cody being heel . there are many top stars currently working . cody should be face for 3-4 years more and then turn heel and become a super villian . that will make him loved by everyone , and i can bet on it.
If Cody is to stay as a babyface, WWE should sign back Christian, make him feud with Orton for a bit and make him put Orton out of action (kayfabe) citing the 2011 series of matches where Christian struggled for 17 years to get the World Heavyweight Title only to have it ripped away from him in 5 days, not to mention Christian's last match in WWE was during the pandemic where he was blindsided by Ric Flair and punt kicked by Orton in an unsanctioned match. This would set Christian up as the perfect heel, showing his devious side (maybe make him use a con-chair-to) and then he can continue his AEW gimmick of being Father of the Year, talking about people's fathers and then feuding with Cody by saying stupid stuff about Dusty Rhodes.
The heel turn might be sooner than we expected. He already did the Homelander and A-Train reference last Friday. That's probably a hint that he is flipping the heel switch.
Right now it's too soon. A lot of feuds haven't happened yet. Randy(heel) vs Cody, CM Punk(heel maybe) vs Cody. I don't think right now the fans will cheer any of those two over Cody so it'll be better if Cody is the face.
Cody turning heel isn't the problem. The problem is the Bloodline. What should've happened after Cody won the title is Solo Sikoa slowly rebuilding the Bloodline at NXT instead of Smackdown. That way Cody Rhodes can develop as a champion without the Bloodline story getting in the way. Eventually during early 2025 the Bloodline returns to Smackdown after Trick Williams takes out Solo Sikoa in a feud for the NXT championship.

i think they will make his heel turn gradual just like they did with kevin owens, culminating somewhere around wrestlemania. now is not the time. we already got owens as a heel, and randys heel turn has already been hinted at and im assuming it will happen before cody turns heel. i think they want that cody vs orton match at wrestlemania, where cody is the underdog and orton is this menacing, twisted heel. the fact that they brought back the piledriver for this feud between the three of them is a sign of the things to come. its kinda of a weird situation, though. cus you have kevin owens now as the fan favorite because he is actually making sense and is getting over with the fans more than cody, and on another hand you have cody rhodes who just yapping his ass off and being a politician and fans are getting kinda sick of it, and then you have randy who will probably want to punt everyone once he comes back.

Cody's babyface already overstayed his welcome in AEW and combined with bad booking was the reason that made him leave the company he helped built, if he's not willing to go heel then it's highly unlikely he's willing to go heel now....

I think the best way for Cody to go heel is gradually. Like the match with KO is him dipping into his emotions, maybe even KO showing color. Cody realizes that it is very efficient to "hurt" his opponents. All the while he is justifying it to the fans, but as each title defense progresses, his actions become more and more unhinged. Maybe even throw in some wrestlers that say "fuck that, I don't want to fight Cody"

I just realized the Star Wars Luke Skywalker comparisons, I was about to say this before I heard you say the rock compared Cody to him. I was about to go into the whole breakdown, actually I still will. So Roman Reigns is the big bad for years and years and years and then Cody comes along with his blonde hair thinking to turn him back to the light, Roman destroys him the first time they meet, Cody goes on a year-long journey to get back to the top separate from Roman. Roman even encouraged the name of Cody's father. The dark lord of the sith, AKA The Rock comes back and helps his Padawan; Roman. Annoyingly this leads to Roman losing everything and then coming back to the side of the light. Cody is now in the head Jedi.
At Wrestlemania 42 CM Punk faces Cody in a rematch for the undisputed title and he puts his career on the line. The fans turn on Cody, so he turns on Punk and retires him.

If Cody is to stay as a babyface, WWE should sign back Christian, make him feud with Orton for a bit and make him put Orton out of action (kayfabe) citing the 2011 series of matches where Christian struggled for 17 years to get the World Heavyweight Title only to have it ripped away from him in 5 days, not to mention Christian's last match in WWE was during the pandemic where he was blindsided by Ric Flair and punt kicked by Orton in an unsanctioned match. This would set Christian up as the perfect heel, showing his devious side (maybe make him use a con-chair-to) and then he can continue his AEW gimmick of being Father of the Year, talking about people's fathers and then feuding with Cody by saying stupid stuff about Dusty Rhodes.

Cody turning heel isn't the problem. The problem is the Bloodline. What should've happened after Cody won the title is Solo Sikoa slowly rebuilding the Bloodline at NXT instead of Smackdown. That way Cody Rhodes can develop as a champion without the Bloodline story getting in the way. Eventually during early 2025 the Bloodline returns to Smackdown after Trick Williams takes out Solo Sikoa in a feud for the NXT championship.
