I’ve thought about getting into RV transport. My dilemma is truck wise. Currently have a 19 Ranger(I know that’s not gonna cut it) and a 07 F250 but it’s got a 6” lift and that’s no good either. The nice thing for me is I live by LaPorte, so I’m in the area. And overkill but I have a Class A CDL.
Thanks for doing these videos everyone else is talking about how bad Rv transport is but of course there still doing it so I’m glad you are putting the truth out there great job keep it up and glad to here your wife is doing good
Thank you for watching and commenting! We appreciate your feedback and for also mentioning Robin in your post - we are sincerely appreciative of your kindness!
Thanks for the info. Happy to find current information on the RV hauling industry. Current info seems hard to find which has me wondering how the industry is doing. I've been driving flatbed with a 2023 W900 for a company (Their Rig lol) from Mn to TX, AK, OK.... I have a little over a year under my belt. I am retired from 30 years with the State of Mn. Flying out this coming Sunday to NC to purchase a 2022 Dodge 5500 with a roadmaster sleeper. Going through the application process, getting things together with Horizon & just about done. I'll be working in the flatbed division. Hope their is product to move. Appreciate your videos. Keep em coming. Stay safe out there.
You’re welcome. Thank you for watching and commenting - we appreciate your feedback. Congratulations on your truck and your new career. We don’t think the RV Transport industry is slowing down - not according to the load board or the people we see on the highways transporting them. Safe travels to you too!
Talk about earnings more please. 😊
We’ll have another video regarding earnings next week - stay tuned 😊
Thanks for explaining this. Does Wave or Horizon do loads in California?
Lots of loads going from Oregon to California
Good evening buddy! I like to content and you definitely got a new subscriber. If you’ve answered any of these questions in the past I do apologize. This is my first video I’ve come across! I do have a couple questions if you don’t mind answering.
Do you have to have a CDL for what you are doing?
The load boards you keep referring to which are they/ how do I try to get affiliated with them?
I’m looking to get into this line of work and got lucky to come across this video! Thanks for the content and hope to hear from you!
Hi! Welcome to our channel and we appreciate you subscribing! We have an RV Transport playlist you’re more than welcome to watch - it documents our RV transport adventures from day 1 and provides information about our experiences.
No you don’t need a CDL. I work for Wave Express - as an independent contractor - in order to have access to a load board you’ll need to work for an RV transport company. You can always email us at TheRiverstoneLife@gmail.com if you have any questions - we’ll do our best to answer them.
Thanks for commenting. Best of luck to you! Take care 😊
Great video William. I'm curious what the load board has for Wyoming and Montana and how profitable you see those being. Contemplating this with my Ram 3500.
Thanks for your comment! The load board varies daily there’s lots of loads in Washington and Oregon that seem consistent. As for Wyoming and Montana I’ve seen loads for Montana - haven’t done any for Wyoming but took a load from Indiana to Montana. Haven’t done any out of Montana. I’ve seen them going to South Dakota frequently as well. Wave is contracted with Camping World and Camping World is pretty much everywhere so anything is possible.
@@TheRiverstoneLife thank you
@winginitwithjohn8451 you’re welcome
Do you need to have weight distribution hitch? Or is air bags enough?
Yes you need to have the hitch.
There's alot of work right now I Drive for horizon and from June 2022 through January 2024 the load board was empty 95% of the time. That being said I never went without a load. Alot of times I got put on a wait list but always secured a load before getting back to indiana
My horizon application is on hold until I finish up some personal things. Very much looking forward to signing on.
Mine is on hold too till I finish off some stuff too, hopefully in September be hauling. If I had a question is if the business has a slow or down time? Or if the work is pretty steady?
Glad to hear Robin is doing better !! Love all the videos you post . How is your cooler working out for you ?? Does it keep the liquids cold ? I like my pop ice cold and was looking to get one like yours. Keep up the good work !!
Thank you! It’s been a rough recovering but she’s hanging in there! We love our cooler - it freezing stuff too! Here’s the link to ours if you want to check it out. It’s a little pricey but with it! amzn.to/3J8QCGd
Btw thanks for commenting and watching!
How do you pick up loads?
The company you lease to has a load board you pick from that.
What if you’re from Canada?
The company I work for doesn’t work out of Canada but there are companies out there that do. You’ll have to do your research. Thanks for commenting!
You do with class C ? What truck you would pick ?
Yes with a class C drivers license. As for the truck - that's more of a personal preference - they all are good and bad lol
@@TheRiverstoneLife would you pick gas or diesel ?
@Tom-ds5uk we picked a diesel but not sure if it’s the right decision because I’ve talked to guys who have gas and they say they are getting the same mileage with gas and I am
Listening to your podcast in my truck, your voice sounds muted and hard to hear. Especially compared to your music. Like your info and look forward to your posts
Thanks for watching and commenting. I’m sorry about the sound quality. Appreciate the positivity regarding our channel!
I ain’t got shit to say but comment for the algo anyway. I’m sure the woman is itchin so spend some of the transport profit on hotels :)
Haha thanks for commenting and the lol - literally! It's allllll about the algo 💯 - That's the only way I can get Robin to come along with me - hotels hahahaha 😆
