I didn’t go through all the comments not sure if anyone has mentioned the company Next Gen Drivetrain yet but I’ve Fixed 2 of these POS trans. GM will not fix the problem. They had issues with the truck randomly down shifting and hard shifts. Didn’t watch the first video but I highly recommend calling them and let them know what your problems are. Yes you will come out of pocket but even if they change the transmission the valve body is still going be an issue so save yourself a headache and screw the warranty. Get your truck and find a reputable shop to install it. Definitely on a money making truck, the 2 trucks I’ve helped were hot shot drivers hauling way heavier than you do and they have had no problems. You can buy their Valve body or buy the project carbon kit which is what I tossed in. I just highly recommend calling them and they can point you in the right direction. Be safe when you get back on the road.

My 03 cateye silverado is by far a better truck than the 24 we got. I wouldn't be afraid to drive it coast to coast as i have done a couple times but i wouldn't take the new one. For one its uncomfortable and two it feels cheap

I know I am on a different subject than your transmission but I really love and respect you and your wife for putting this contact out because now I’m 61 and I I can’t sit still and not work what I do know and I still have to investigate I live in California house is paid for go buy a truck and get into this. My background is that I know how to haul trailers and trucks and I’m not talking little trucks I’m talking 10 wheelers with trailers and excavators on top of those. So what I’m saying is I understand the towing industry I am more of a Ford guy, but everybody has their own opinion I have broken more Chevys then I can shake a stick at Dodge OK but broke those too. I’ve also broken Fords. I feel we are going through thie supply chain is insane. Weather is a Dodge Ford or Chevy doesn’t matter. Hey I’ve noticed you guys mention this in a couple videos but the drives where your found to see family, doctors, in general any time your driving without a trailer or to go get a trailer you don’t need to be counting towards HOS. It would fall under personal conveyance, more importantly it’s counted towards your 34 hr resets

My parents built a new home and it caught fire and in the year long process of it being rebuilt they found a house to rent thru the insurance company and having kids they will definitely want more space than a hotel room just throwing out the idea for yall

I work for a Fortune 500 company that delivers GM transmissions to dealerships. There's been a significant increase (4x) in the number of transmissions we deliver to dealerships in the past few years. All the parts guys complain about the quality of transmissions. But the delay in installing transmissions is not from the transportation side. We deliver them the next day after pick up, either by 10:30 am or noon.

I have a gmc at4xHd 40,000 miles and the valve body in the transmission is bad. They won’t give me a loaner vehicle and only want to pay 44 dollars a day for a rental. Part is supposed to take 2-3 months to come in

Take the Riverstone over there for them to stay in. It’s not ideal for Colorado going into winter but it’s a good temporary solution. Glad to hear the only loss was material.

Id get a second llc for truck delivery and relocation services. I’d pay my partner to run the truck back empty while I get a reset in. The truck wouldn’t have to stop for a 34 and my clock would never be empty or low on hours. Something to consider since you don’t need a cdl to deliver a 1 ton truck.
