The bassist is is my pappy Don Adams, the guitarist is my great uncle Gary Adams who just passed away a few months ago, the drummer is my other great uncle Roland Adam's. After playing for George they all went on to play for Johnny Paycheck. I wasn't around yet when George was still in touch with my pappy, but my mom jokingly says she used to always hate when he'd come to visit because he always showed up early in the morning and he was a loud guy so he always woke her up when he would visit.
I was privileged to pick with Gary one time at New Vienna Ohio which I'll always remember. I wore out their Adams Brothers album trying to learn Gary's links on the guitar.
@@randybock82 Gary was truly a one of a kind player, all of the Adams boys were. I'm happy to say Don, Gary and Arnie were all just inducted into the Ohio country music hall of fame on Aug. 20, 2022.
This was about the time when my Husband and I got to meet George. He was playing in a little place in KC.Mo. Shortly after that he met Tammy and she got his hair fixed nice. LOL! Sure changed his looks. Thanks to All of you who is putting his music 🎵🎶🎶🎵 on where we can still hear him sing. THANKS so MUCH!
The guitarist, bassist and guitarist in this video were just recently awarded the "founders of sound" award by the ameripolitan association January 19th 2023, they recieved a well deserved standing ovation from the entire crowd present.
Once you learn to notice it, you can't unsee the stage fright in his eyes. The way he never looks directly at the camera, his eyes move back and forth and and how when he isn't singing he mostly stares down at the floor
Now you brought it to my attention I have to agree. That Don Adams he the best to harmonize with George Jones n not to downplay Donnie Young who only a micropercentage second n that's just my opinion. Love em both.

Gary was a big influence on me when I started playing way back when.
The Bass player looks a lot like Tom Hiddleson, kind of funny. Great live performance from George and the Jones Boys here.
Wow, it sounds like like Buck Owen and Don Rich. (the first song)
I was thinking the same thing!
Same thought
Don Adam's actually worked with Buck when Don Rich was off. I believe his wife had a baby? But my cousin filled in on tour for him.
