Good old days of the blue and white BR livery. Lots of 86's at Euston, Intercity trains, same year, Chernobyl power station disaster, reactor 4 blew up

Great memories. Would spend hours in the summers of the early/mid-80s watching the different trains. I imagine it's nothing like the same nowadays with so much generic stock.

Lots of lovely 86s (but hardly any 87s). A bit of everything you got at Clapham Jct; the 33/1 + TC must have been on the 'Kenny Belle'.

Evening Roy. Another fantastic video of a great trains fro the 80s 😊 Slam door EMUs loco hauled stock. Parcels at Euston that may come back one day 👍🏻 Didn't some of those first generation EMUs have the extra mersey rail coaches? Cheers Stevie

A 50 on Mk 1 stock was less common though; looked like it was taking empty stock into Waterloo for a peak hour working.

Ah when the railway was a pleasure to travel on. It’s like an overgrown garden thanks to that government quango Network Rail.

I'm pretty sure it's got a lot to do with the fact that the weedkiller they used to use was found to ge be poisoning everything including the water course so they're now using a lesser version, rather more than Network rail is government owned so its inefficient, dont believe everything you read

Compared to the modern stock, this looks a bit dirtier and less cared for.
