I was born and raised in Portugal, and although i knew Angola once was part of portugal and all it's struggles to break free from our chains, seeing this series so far has opened my horizon in so many levels!! I never thought to monetize my travels or even bring any sort of electronics, but I love this channel and your work. Back in my single days, I worked maritime security and would have up to a month off from time to time. I'd spin my globe, and whatever piece of land my finger landed on, I went there. I spent a month living and farming on a rice paddy in Indonesia. I lived with sherpas for 3 weeks in the Andes. I had a small apartment in Johannesburg that got robbed repeatedly lol.

Just a quick observation.. The suffocation is even more heavy for the youngsters, because they are the ones tending to the goats, feeding the babies, bringing them to their mom's. It's been said that the tribe will also look for the one that you seem to favorite the most. So imagine you have to suffocate an animal you cared for, an animal that also coexisted with you.. One you may have even had a connection with. That's what makes it even more of a test. To show that you are able to put your feelings aside for survival. In harsh times, feelings can get you killed in an instant.
My mom is half Angolan half Portuguese (born and raised in Angola), and my dad is Spanish. I was born and raised in Spain, so that is the heritage I mostly know. Nevertheless, I’ve always felt so drawn to Angolan culture. My mom just told me that we descend from the Mucubal tribe, and seeing this video made me so happy❤. Hope I can go someday and visit them as well! Their way of life is so beautiful.
