    Great topic!
    When I found Seth Riggs' book 7 years ago I didn't understand how to do those exercises!
    I tried to reach high note by yelling! I got troubles! Then I decided SLS dont work!
    Then I had 2 years of classical vocal class and learned a lot about my voice and how it works. But I had too many tension to sing higher then F#. Also I couldn't sing in a chest voice with freedom. I decided to drop it down.
    3 years after I decided to try SLS again. First I found how to sing F much quieter. Then at first in my life I hit C. Now I can mix.
    I thank God I found SLS and understand it right!

    Hey there it's a great book. It has a short sentence in it though saying that support is automatic. Where this is true in part but not the full picture. You have to engage enough to not let the air fall out then it can be automatic but you always have to have that baseline endgadment/ (people hate saying tension) do you agree? Would help me to know many thanks, (just to make sure im correct) x

      Hi Daniel: I asked Seth if he would change anything in his "Singing for The Stars" book. He said he would put more information in there about breathing. He assumed people new more about it than they did. Here's my view on breathing: www.powertosing.com/ep-15-how-to-sing-breath-with-diaphragm/ . I do believe breathing for singing can become second nature. I don't think it takes tension as much as simple activation of the diaphragm and pulling your tummy in a little bit to help the air move up and out. Watch the video.

      Thank you, I totally agree just making sure. I can do it as you and Seth mention, as long as I ( pop/engadge) the solar plexus on the onset the advice works perfectly.@@PowerToSing thanks. I believe doing it without popping the solar plexus is pretty hard, but possible if you try to stay too relaxed in the abdominal and that's when the weakness or falling out air happens. 🤔😊😊 now im used to doing all this with it all together, I have the best support that happens naturally as you said

      Power To Sing pulled chest high larynx

    • @PowerToSing

      The exercises for pulled chest-high larynx are designed to keep the larynx from rising. This will help stop pulling chest voice especially at E,F,F#4. You must be able to do this first. Then you will begin to access the A4.

      +Power To Sing A4 with full chest voice right

    • @PowerToSing

      No. It will be a mix voice of mostly head voice, but because the vocal cords have remained connected, and if there is no tension or reach, the tone produced will sound like a chest tone...but is not. At that pitch there is no way to produce a full chest voice without head mixed in, without damaging your voice.

    Hi! 😇 Hey, when u say pulled Chest u mean just to accross passaggio in Chest Voice or u mean to Sing in Mix but with too much tension and Loud? 😄

    • @PowerToSing
      @PowerToSing  7 лет назад

      Both. You can be mixing, and be pulling chest or have a high larynx.
