This ship was in Port Townsend, Washington, years ago. The Washington State Ferry i was riding had an announcement from the Captain that we were making a detour. He piloted the Ferry around The World and then thanked us for making the voyage with him. Waves of applause and laughter. i understand he was terminated. It was a cool trip around The World.
It's like this, if you want to travel the world without buying a yacht, it's the way to go!!!! Plus, it's a place to relax, get peace of mind, chill and smoke a bowl. If I had the cash I would love to live on board.
Place must feel like a ghost ship with only a couple hundred people on board at any given time. I think it would be a nice place to stay if you just want to get away from the world for a while. (no pun intended)
i ( scott, mark, pat and a couple of others),had the privellage many years ago (in sydney) to go onboard to look around, captians invite.. it was an amazing ship..
You lucky people, you! What a life. It just can't get any better. I've always wondered this about high rollers: are you aware of how fortunate you are? Or do you take it for granted? This is a silly question. But are there resident physicians aboard at the ready just in case?
I honestly can’t imagine myself spending more than a day in a ship at all. Much less permanently. I’ll get absolutely bored once I visited all available sections and unless I’d get to steer the ship for few minutes once a week, I’d just stole a lifeboat and took off. You’d had to be a super elite retiree with a love for seas and calm to even live on this ship permanently. Type of people that can lay down and stares into the sky the whole day.
It could be nice. But you kind of would want it to be, to some extent like a giant cruise ship like carnival lines etc. With 10 restaurants and live band music and entertainment to partake in if you feel like it. But that would cost a lot and also since it's a place to live a lot less people on board etc. So it might seem really nice but I can imagine at times boring as well. The biggest appeal would be all the places you'd visit and enjoy.
Nice... but I would think easy to become anesthetized to... and the way I am, I would start feeling trapped after 2 days on the seas.... a "not for everyone" lifestyle even if one has the money. From the few interviews with on-board guests, I'm not sure I would feel comfortable trying to fit in with elitist.... beautiful ship and great ports of call though!
Yeah, well, this thing is old and dated now. Look at the video, looks like it was made in the 90s. Of course there are nicer ships. But how many of them were residences with their own self contained suites including kitchens?
Monthly safety drills? That sucks especially considering you're paying at least $700,000 for a 328 square foot studio or $2.9 mil for at 2 bedroom. Meh, its a unique and expensive lifestyle. I guess the monthly safety drills are a small compromise.
How about showing the accommodations, the cost of ownership, the cost of food and such? Weird how the guests talk about how terrible the service and accommodations are at the bar and then the commentary talks about how luxurious it is.
It’s how rich people are. The women are generally entitled and disagreeable. While the men are sullen and distant. Anyone with any life or sense of adventure left in them are still out there doing shit. This is a glorified coffin imo
Imagine this a ship that's a condo. Where it's running around the world 24 7 365 days a year. All that pollution let alone the size and lack of people using it. And I bet it's registered in a nation which doesn't need c02 and pollution restricters. I bet these 1 percenters ships run with as little as 1 to 3 percent occupancy at most times. Then there's the middile class to higher class but not super rich who own apartments aka condos on 24 7 365 ships but they live on them or spend more time on them then on land which isn't as bad.
I want to state here that within 400 days from now I will be one of the tenants on the ship. Right now I do not have the money and so here in front of everyone I send a request to the universe to send me the means and ability to complete the task.
yes, the only thing missing is the entertainment inside the ship..to be happy..I thought they should have entertainment like someone singing, dancing and much more
I understand rich men. They have earned their wealth and they spend it whatever they want it on. But I don't understand pretentious wives of those rich men who literally have no contribution towards their husband's wealth but still act as if they have earned that luxury life.
doesn't know much does that first guy who spoke..they haven't let just anyone on board to just have a look around in a very very long time.. I'd say to him.. Get with the program mate and learn what you're talking about before you open your gob lol. Too rich for their own good, they've forgotten how to have real fun with real ppl .. sad really. If I were as rich as them i'd love to live on a ship..but, not with those crank rude holier than thou ppl. I want a ship with fun and nice friendly travelers.
Wow visiting all the crowded global festivities like the Grand Prix - I be sailing away from all those events. No dancing, no yoga, no sports, no theatre or cinema, no entertainment, no TV, no computers. No friends. No neighbours. People sail on the World to avoid tax.
Plus, you're not looking at the real deal!!!!!!! International Waters no fucking income tax!!! Come on, wish o could make tax free cash like that!! Shit it's better than being a DRG tax free cash!!!!!
it seem boring for me, retired place , where is the craziness ? where is the fun? I want to see people screaming almost naked in cruise otherwise boring as hell 😂😂😎
That one lady actually complained that the staff had to look for pretzels...real world probs for sure *rolls eyes*

Oh my god. They had to find the pretzels?! One week with those people and I would jump overboard.
Screw that, push THEM overboard, late at night when no one's looking.
Imagine the fire doors automatically closing and you're stuck on the side with the fire. :(
They're really easy to open by hand, it's similar to any self closing door.

How are going to smoke a bowl if they don't allow fire on board?
It's always about weed with you people.
The travails of the rich. They had PEAnuts but no PRETzels. Can you imagine??
Nope! I'd throw myself overboard if that ever happened to me. lol
No hors d'oeuvres either … the word is so rich I had to google the spelling
No, they had them. They just had to go look for the pretzels.
They don’t even play bridge at a reasonable time, and forget about dancing. It ain’t happening. Its footloose all over again

Sounds like bliss. Probably no barking dogs either, and certainly no open piped Harleys or fartcanned Hondas screaming by at 2am.
True, although a lot of people on board look like Harley people. I imagine this ship smells like old people too.. 🚢 💀
Awe how amazing.......truly blessed.....living life to the fullest my type of life

You should go to a grammar concentration camp for this hot garbage of a comment.

*Okay, say whatever you want* but the destinations though? Freaking amazing lifestyle
Seen this ship 🚢 in San Francisco today. It's very big.
How do they get their Amazon packages? And Blue Apron weekly choices?

It is sent to the port agency/agent that deliver it when the vessel is in port
Poor people they have it so ruff... No Entertainment on board :-( The lounges plays one music at a time. Life Sucks!
never settle for less than 4 musics at a time

Then please don't set foot on the vessel. Thank you.

On a ship every crewman is a fire fighter.
Fire fighting is not a brain job by any means!
I worked on this ship in 2010 when it came to Liverpool for a week. Can honestly say I've been on better and a lot nicer ships!
Topher McGinley Which ones? Any examples?

So you shut the fire door with the owner still in there. If there really was a fire they would be dead.

how lovely living on cruise ship and travel around the world
whats the good of living on a ship and not know how to have fun..
And now this ship is in Indonesia

MS the World: "live on this cruiser"
somalian pirates: YES!
Wonder if you could do this for a year
But if I enter this ship, will this ship causes the time to freeze?

Done that on offshore training ,
What happens if the ship sinks?

Entry level $2M plus $60k per annum for fees. People in that class don't cook or house clean. Kitchen could house a spa instead.
4:41 she knows what she was up to on the shower 🌚
I could do this for a year.
we need more of these ships!
The Utopia cruise ship will be similar, it will be 100 m (328 ft) longer and offers apartments up to $36 million.
No, we really don't. We need more affordable housing for working class people

But at least no one on board is known to be on board...security for the rich and shameless.
That ship is getting old
At 3:40 does that guy have a fucking chia pet on his head?!?
Looks boring as hell. If I'm paying that much to live on a damn ship I expect to be pampered & entertained to the fullest.
Live on a Cruise Ship: CruiseFullTime.com
But you wont pay taxes to any country living at least 168 days on board.
Agreed Nancy.. dullsville for sure
Do you demand such pampering and entertainment daily? Then choose a cruise ship.
