I've grappled with courage throughout my life, whether in matters of love, work, or other areas. Thanks to my faith in Stoicism, it has guided me toward a more virtuous and positive path. As an INFP, I've found moments of heroism within myself. For instance, I'm 28 years old while my friend is just 19. We both face the same surgery, but he's hesitant and fearful. I reassured him by offering to go first, demonstrating that it's okay to feel scared, yet courage is essential; a vertue. While I can summon courage for others, I'm working on cultivating it for myself. Ryan Holiday's book 'Courage is Calling' is unquestionably my next purchase. Thank you, Ryan Holiday, for your profound influence.

I purchased and read your book while, on my personal journey, I was transitioning from Part 1 to Part 2. I distinctly remember reading it the night before my elective surgery I had been putting off for more than 20 years (because of my fear of surgery). Now, in this past month, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to exercise a little bit of Part 3. Not on the grand level as the examples in the book, but on a smaller scale where my calculated risks could benefit others. It really does offer a sense of fulfillment and purposeful direction in life because you can feel good about what you have chosen to do, regardless of what the outcome may be. I feel like "justice" is the most solid driving force behind my newest sense of courage, and when I feel a need to speak out against injustice rising in my throat, I now have the courage to set it free and stick to my chosen course of action without wavering. It's liberating. So, thanks for the book. It connects the dots in a wonderful way. Your anecdotal stories are always appreciated.

I absolutely loved the book but i really wish you spent more time talking about every day courage, the kind that says “you’ve suffered loss but you still have responsibility” or “Life is hard but to give up is to lose the rest of it”, the kind about the courage it takes to merely get up in the morning. You do mention it but mostly in an abstract way and not in a way i feel most would relate to it… I also wish you spent more time relating courage to the other 3 virtues… they are so intertwined that it is impossible to seperate them, so I’m assuming you have a plan throughout the next 3 books to connect them all properly because i can understand how difficult of a task it would be to explain them one by one
Overall a fantastic book and I recommend it for everyone

⭐️ *5 Powerful Ways To Become Your Best Self:*
    1. Try new things.
You can’t let yourself become complacent. Surprise yourself by pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone. Doing so will give your ingenuity and innovative side a boost. Plus, you will have discovered something new about yourself -- perhaps a hidden talent or an ability to learn something you didn’t think you were capable of.
    2. Pursue your dreams.
Most people on their deathbeds say their biggest regret was not living their life to the fullest and actually pursuing their dreams… Instead, most of them lived a life pursuing other peoples dreams (like their parents) and never end up being their own authentic self… Don’t wait until you’re on your deathbeds. Do it now.
    3. Sustain your motivation.
We all have days when we wake up just not feeling it. Those days when our brains won’t get going - we’d rather do anything besides working. But despite being low on energy or inspiration, you have to find a way to keep moving forward. Remember, progress is incremental. You have to find ways to keep that fire in your belly; to keep nurturing that deep desire to achieve.
    4. Create good habits.
Habits shape our life. But remember when developing a habit it takes time and repetition, and should be done slowly. Trying to change too many things at once will feel overwhelming and daunting. The goal is to make incremental changes to your lifestyle that eventually become a way of life. Remember that even small habits can have a powerful cumulative effect.
    5. Focus on self-care.
Never spread yourself too thin. Many times we focus too much on filling other peoples cups that we forget to fill our own… Don’t forget, you can’t be the best for others if you can’t be the best for yourself.
If you’ve read this far and resonate with this post… Save it to remind yourself everyday and give it a thumbs up so others can see it and apply it as well!
    - Just an Alchemist, sending you lots of love 💜

Looking forward to debating them in the very same library you've briefly visited while in Bucharest, the Seneca Cafe&Books! All my best regards to you! Hi
That was me I was very fear and negative because my toxic family told me " you are never going to do anything in your life because you are deaf dummy.
Finally few weeks God universe gave a greatest gift. Wake up call I went to book store and got this book called positive energy. I read it a whole book in 4 days.
From there and staying positive fearless and a totally different person. Long story to stort I put my foot down to learn how to read book(s) with the low vocabulary words. I began to write in general and it turned out that I wrote it in free writing rough draft. Keep on working on my first book. Like Ryan said Read read and read. Write in the journal books. I do have a daily journal, set my goal journal, and Fearless writing journal. This is my journey.
I am not deaf anymore. I can hear better so now I'm hearing impaired.
    Thank you.

Love your books. You have a knack for getting to the root of an idea and explaining it. Though I do think that some of your examples are skewed through a Western lens. People like Churchill have said some profound things, but they also were warmongers that ravaged Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. It's hard to not see his actions as anything more than greedy with a veneer of righteous propaganda. I'll probably end up getting this book, because I do appreciate your offerings. I just have to say that the story-lines that serve as your books content skew the real meaning that you are getting at. Again, appreciate you and thank you for all your scholarly work. It really does provide a great deal of sustenance.

Desperado, why don't you come to your senses?
You been out ridin' fences for so long now
    Oh, you're a hard one
But I know that you got your reasons
These things that are pleasin' you
    Can hurt you somehow
Don't you draw the Queen of Diamonds, boy
She'll beat you if she's able
You know the Queen of Hearts is always your best bet
Now, it seems to me some fine things
Have been laid upon your table
But you only want the ones that you can't get
Desperado, oh, you ain't gettin' no younger
Your pain and your hunger, they're drivin' you home
And freedom, oh freedom, well that's just some people talkin'
Your prison is walking through this world all alone
Don't your feet get cold in the winter time?
The sky won't snow and the sun won't shine
It's hard to tell the night time from the day
You're losin' all your highs and lows
Ain't it funny how the feeling goes away?
Desperado, why don't you come to your senses?
Come down from your fences, open the gate
It may be rainin', but there's a rainbow above you
You better let somebody love you (let somebody love you)
You better let somebody love you
    Before it's too late

    4. Wasting your precious time
    5. Chasing meaningless relationships
    6. Wasting or draining your energy from beating your meat

Your latest book is nothing but a rehash of previous ideas communicated in previous books, coupled with endorsements from other authors who you have endorsed in the past.
Compared with your previous books, you also use this book to blend in your own socio-political beliefs around every 30 pages, or so, by estimate.
Given the amount of books you've been churning out, combined with your heavy social media presence, coupled with the regular inconsistencies between what you preach compared to what you actually believe, which I see every so often on your posts and videos (where you actually speak for yourself) I'm reminded that you come from a PR background.
The best authors alive today have only released a fraction of the books which you have published.
Also, let's not ignore the fact that your text is bunched together with at least 30% of the page being nothing but wasted paper, in which any one of your books could be cut down to nearly half their size, but you want to print as many pages as possible, as to give the reader the false impression that they have read a "heavy book", despite the fact that it could be read easily over a weekend.
I've worked with authors in the past, I'm fully aware of the dirty practices used in the publishing industry, notably the use of paid "review armies" to heavily boost your books profile upon release, as well as other manipulative practices used for promotion.
Ryan, I say this with conviction, I now see you as nothing more than a "snake-oil salesman" who is looking to build a cult of personality around himself for his own profit, like many who have preceeded you.
I'm happy to debate you on this, but no doubt this comment will be buried in the sands of the comments, or simply deleted in a bid to avoid facing up to the realities of the poorly regurgitated material which you're projecting on people in an attempt to build some semblance of hope to others, while you build on your own "cult of personality".
