I'm buying forested land to put a house on. I've been thinking I need a dozer to clear the land but after watching this I am convinced this is a much more useful tool to have. It doesn't even seem to bat an eye at those big oaks. Man this makes me rethink my current career path. Looks like loads of fun. Thanks for posting.
Hey Nat! For clearing bigger trees the track loader will out work a dozer and is more versatile. The down side is the loader is very hard on your back. She's a rough ride'in SOB, but an amazing tool!
@@cegesl4521 Yep... I ended up renting a 20k lb Excavator. It was an amazing experience. Worked well because it allowed me to put all my logs where I wanted them. Downside was that it doesn't let you finish very well. I still want a loader or dozer.
A lot of factors are involved in clearing. This particular area had very soft ground which made is tough to push out and especially clean up. If it's big trees I tell folks to figure an acre to acre in a half per day to push out, pile and clean up. Sometimes it goes quicker.
the track loader jumped up on a hickory stump and said boy let me tell you what, I bet you didn't know it but I'll clear these woods and if you care to take a dare I'll make a bet with you...... lol sorry, when you hit that hickory tree at 10:30 I just couldn't help myself.
i spent a hour and a half with a case 850b track loader on a hickory stump one time. it wasnt worth it but after awhile i took it persnollay with that stupid stump. but in the end i won great feeling. everytime i drive by that stump upside down off in the timber it still bring great joy.

Nice to see another track loader pushing brush. I own and operate a 973c doing the same type of work. Keep up the hard work!
Thanks! Yeah, don't see track loaders used much anymore. In my opinion one of the most versatile pieces of equipment there is.
That thing is savage I was gonna rent a backhoe but dang I'm gonna go with this monster. Thanks for the video.
Yep thanks! They are amazing for sure!
Nice Cat

How long does it take you to clear an acre of land like you just filmed?
Thank you
