Good beginner tips :) But there is some more: - build your defend tower as far enemy border as possible (enemy units need time to catch it, time when they are under attack) - btw. you can update them too! - scout on winter if possible - your production is lower that time, but scout doesn't care - look close at fog on borderer area - you can get some interesting information before scouting (for example presents of wolf or deer)
Finally picked up this game and after playing for a few hours, this video was astoundingly helpful, especially the worker overlay, I really underestimated this game, I thought it'd be basic and easy but it requires a significant amount of planning
another important tip: when attacking/defending with military units or villagers/workers, take the one with low health away so healers can heal them and the enemy will start attacking new one. By doing this you avoid losing men ;)

My go to clan for this game is the Rams. Playing the game without sheep is impossible anymore. They reduce wood use per tile in the winter, produce food if you make a barn, can be slaughtered for 80 free food at a moments notice, and their 2 upgrades where you can have the sheep just make more sheep as well as the upgrade where you can sell your sheep for krowns is awesome. Sheep OP, please never nerf!
Thanks for the tips! I completely sunk into this game - I love it! But have still much to learn and figure out... after 35 hours game time. Conquest mode is really hard but I enjoy the challenge. My tip would be - pay attention to resources. I always try not to have anything in minus. It helps me with the micro management.

@@netti1294 nekem nem volt Northgard függôségem :D végigvittem a sztorit, aztán kipróbáltam az összes klánt. néha játszogatok egy-egy meccset a gép ellen, kedvenc klánjaim a Hollók, az ökör (Torfinék) meg a Sárkány. bár az utóbbival elég nehéz talpraállni. a Conquest módot megpróbáltam a sárkányokkal, de amikor kezdett ellenségnek 2 másik sárkányt és 2 ökröt beadni, én gondoltam, ok, ez egy kicsit sok :D társasjáték? nem tudtam, érdekesen hangzik... micsoda véletlen egybeesés, én a Northgard alapján csinálok itthonra egy társasjátékot legóból + kártyákkal. a legfôbb külömbség az lessz, hogy itt nem viking klánokkal játszunk, hanem fantasy fajokkal. lesznek emberek, elfek, törpék, koboldok (heroes 7 hörcsögember kinézettel), orknarok (egy keverése az orknak és a jötnarnak), és draugrok. ez nem a valós északi mitológia szerint fog játszódni, hanem egy saját északi stílusú fantasy világban. + tervezek egy RPG verziót is :P

Build order #5: Scout camp and training camp. Mostly useful for Lynx since they can get out one of the Lynx pretty much instantly as soon as you have it built with enough food and gold. Can also be used for other clans to make villagers into Warriors to clear early tiles.

The single only problem I have with this game is the hotkey. I'm somewhat of a finger yoga guru myself, and since I don't have full control with selection and instantly map movement, it really puts a damper on my speed. Even though there are plenty of unused keys that could be allocated to fit that playstyle.
Selecting villagers ugh tell me about it. Thanks for Tip #4, always hated pulling a villager while it was building something, mos def gonna use this the next time.
Remember to click the "X" button. It also makes your villagers instantly gather resources after they run, instead of having this moment of not doing anything.
Great Video! For the food silo part I also believe it does not increase the food you get from Sheepfold, I tried this in game and it didn't increase the sheepfold food income :(. It's weird because the wiki says it does.
afaik the villagers don't collect food more effectively when there's a silo on the pile. It was removed after being used for some rush tactics online I think. But good video and good game!

you need more mead my friend, as your population grows it requires more and more happiness. also if your clan members get sick (sickness can strike at random with a notification before it happens) or are hurt (not full hp) they will reduce your overall happiness
Totally new to this game..kinda confusing mechanics but ur vid helped..a question..apart from the starting bonus and a few quirly traits ..what exactly in the difference between them? All clans have the same units right?
It been a while since i played but I'm sure snake clan has skirmishers, which have spears and do damage over time. in general they all have the same units, but they differ in some special "hero" unit and some, like you said, traits that sets them apart....tip #1 read them animals :)
Villager into boats. Click on the ship building you made...bottom screen, raid icon, click it... choose which one you want them to do lore or fame...enjoy!

More seriously, quick notes : - Building a house on food areas is less of a thing because you wont transform specialized food producers in villagers and you prefer to keep the room for an eventual silo. + Food building already allows regular villagers to gather food on the tile anyway^^ - I see that you upgraded a lot of area on the bear games, that's costful if you compare with just expanding - You definitely want to have a fair amount of happiness but brewery can also be an annoying dead weight on the economy. Some clans (boar, bear, raven...) have good happiness-related knowledges and will most of the time don't bother building any brewery. Keep it up man! :)
I keep losing to odins sword because i dont have access to the shrine and its usally the person furthest from me and i have to get through 2 other clans to get there! It is the most infuriating way of losing. The entire thing is base on luck of spawning position/surroundings. I think i might drop it.

This game looks really cool. I thought it was a generic RTS at first but it looks to have a unique take on it.
Honestly, I think that's what attracted me...it's a nice breath of fresh air. Finally a game that's not your typical StarCraft, CoH APM intense game.

Only sometimes does it explain negative happiness, and sometimes it does not which bothers me as i do not know what the problem is.
you need more mead my friend, as your population grows it requires more and more happiness.
also if your clan members get sick (sickness can strike at random with a notification before it happens) or are hurt (not full hp) they will reduce your overall happiness
Totally new to this game..kinda confusing mechanics but ur vid helped..a question..apart from the starting bonus and a few quirly traits ..what exactly in the difference between them?
All clans have the same units right?
It been a while since i played but I'm sure snake clan has skirmishers, which have spears and do damage over time. in general they all have the same units, but they differ in some special "hero" unit and some, like you said, traits that sets them apart....tip #1 read them animals :)

Villager into boats. Click on the ship building you made...bottom screen, raid icon, click it... choose which one you want them to do lore or fame...enjoy!

More seriously, quick notes :
- Building a house on food areas is less of a thing because you wont transform specialized food producers in villagers and you prefer to keep the room for an eventual silo. + Food building already allows regular villagers to gather food on the tile anyway^^
- I see that you upgraded a lot of area on the bear games, that's costful if you compare with just expanding
- You definitely want to have a fair amount of happiness but brewery can also be an annoying dead weight on the economy. Some clans (boar, bear, raven...) have good happiness-related knowledges and will most of the time don't bother building any brewery.

I keep losing to odins sword because i dont have access to the shrine and its usally the person furthest from me and i have to get through 2 other clans to get there! It is the most infuriating way of losing. The entire thing is base on luck of spawning position/surroundings. I think i might drop it.
