    Didn't have time to make a hilarious intro! What Clan should I make a specific guide for? Stag or Bear?

    • @armand3566
      @armand3566 3 года назад +4

      I would have build a 2nd woodcutter's lodge for winter
      Unlike food, wood production isn't decreased during winter
      So it was better to produce more wood with 3 or 4 woodcutters during winter
      Same for your scout, i would have use this villager to produce food instead of scouting during summer, then switch to scouting in december

    • @Bragison8
      @Bragison8 3 года назад

      The colonisation tech only reduces the cost for one area, so pretty much a complete waste to get it early.

    • @CaffeinatedDad

      @@armand3566 I see what you mean! Focusing on scouting initial tiles then dropping scouting to prep for winter. I have heard that a few times after posting this video.
      What steps would you take after building the 2nd woodcutter's? And then buildings after the first winter?

    • @CaffeinatedDad
      @CaffeinatedDad  3 года назад +3

      @@Bragison8 it does apply to every tile after getting that lore. northgard.fandom.com/wiki/Colonization maps out the amount of food you will need with and without the lore.

      @@CaffeinatedDad
      In winter, i would advise to do everything except producing food
      So mining stone or iron, scouting, wood & gold production
      I'm not a bear main, but i think you should build a 2nd food building after winter
      Then focus on upgrades :
      - mine stone to up townhall > food prod > gold income
      - mine iron to up food > sailors > warband
      As soon as your food production is good, you focus on getting gold, so :
      - building a 2nd dock
      - upgrading both of them
      If you have 6 sailors active at the beginning of 801 winter, you are fine for 802
      As bear, i would also higly recommend to start forging the relic in 801 and save iron for that
      Finally, you build your camps late 801/early 802 to get 10+ warband capacity
      As bear, you can build some camps earlier with Protector of the Land if you need some extra happiness
      Keep in mind that this is viable for team games but in FFA, you can spend more time on your economy (mining more stone/iron for more upgrades)
      I hope that I've been helpful :)

    I'm interested in trying to start my game this way. I often throw down two woodcutters as early as possible and try to rush down the bottom research line since it has shipbuilding and carpenter's mastery. The only glaring flaw I see in the order at least from this video's example is that mining efficiency would have seen some use coming second where as colonisation did nothing until you already had your third research. Thanks for the video.

      Generally, scouting for the surrounding tiles near your town hall would be your first priority and two scouts would get this done very fast.

    You probably shouldn’t put your buildings right on the trees your woodcutters are chopping. The game tells you in the tutorial to put your woodcutter lodges in dense tree areas. You thinned out your forest

    This was more of an intermediate guide. For example I don't even know how to colonize a nearby area or heal my troops or do lots of the details that were left out. Was I supposed to view a tutorial? If not I would need to know all of that as a beginner.

      That is one reason I love the game! I grew up on AoM and have always missed having that same feeling!
