Quick tip for aging up - if you right click it rather than left click, you can queue the Age up even if you don't have the resources, and it will stop vill production as soon as you do. So you don't have to turn off auto queue or pay attention to the res counter

I've just been brute forcing the Campaign until I get the Vault of Erebus godpower. Then all my villagers stop working and pray. After getting 4-6 vaults, I have unlimited resources so I sacrifice the villagers to have the population capacity for a massive army and grind opponent to dust by out producing the AI.

I see you jumping all over the map and you just do things that I don't know how to do because I'm just highlighting people all the time and slowly moving around but you're so much more faster.
The jumping around is hitting hotkeys for scouts and buildings. You can play the game without it and pull off all these build orders. I might do a hotkey video down the road if it would help.
On greek, what about cav starting? I am sure the vills distribution is different than the video. But very nice build order for new players indeed. Thanks a lot!
Wouldnt be more efficient to place an ox cart between hunt and wood and later gold and wood so i dont have to build second ox? Sure it would be a tile or two further than normal but you save res from building a drop off point
ive been trying to look for videos that explain how to distribute your villagers to gather resourses, but no one tells us why is a certain number on a certain resource . like why is no one explaining it, they just said put this amount of villagers here and there , but why
I think it is mostly due to timing. You want to age up asap and you need to build certain buildings so you can attack your enemy fast. When you -for example- have too much vils on food it’ll stay in the bank because you don’t have the other resources to spend it

Do any current player use that auto gathering split we have in the game? The thing i do not like is when i expand settlement with new town center it is automatically set to auto build workers. I did not use that mechanic in previous AoE (if there were any games using that) games so i ended up with 90 workers and was wondering why my army does not build xD After that when i disabled all of those auto spawns, then fighting was proper with lots of units :D

With Ra why do you scout with the Pharaohs? I get priests can empower but they are less effective than the Pharaohs? Is it because Pharaohs have more line of sight or is there something else I am missing?
Tempest new god power reduces frames so much not only on my machine but i saw it on other players on RUclips. Something is wrong with it devs need to check it out.

So, you can check for yourself when you click on a villager that's gathering. Basically, the base gather rate for food changes depending on what you're gathering from. Without upgrades it is as follows: Hunt Herd Forage Farm So if you can hunt food, it's faster than gathering berries. Berries are usually done last before you transition over to farming.
Im not sure if this happened to you at all or if you used the villager priority wheel yet. But it seems very wonky the vills kind of go rogue quite often ignoring close drop off points, i also felt it was weird that the wheel is 0 out 20 and that the greeks cant use the wheel for favor. The others obv dont need it but it feel strange the greek dont have the option. And for norse you have dwarves and people and you cannot separately allocate them i feel like that makes all the norse a bad choice for anyone using a controller on console

Im a new player, tbh i find these guides very hard to follow, since you are using hot keys and everything happens so quickly. I try to play multiplayer, I lose everytime, opponent farms so quickly and basically after 12minutes you can tell i have lost because his score and army is too overwhelming, i cant belive im the only one who has just started this game just a few days ago. btw i play with Hard AI and I have no problem winning. I dont know where to start
The builds can be followed without hotkeys, there’s plenty of time in the early game to select with the mouse. The time is dictated by how fast the villagers train, every 15 seconds you’ll need to task a new one, there’s no way around that. I’m sure they’ll be loads of new players in the non-ranked lobbies. Practicing the early game against the AI will really help, just got to keep at it 💪
@@mooseaom Im not playing ranked, just casual. Maybe you have a guide for a new player like me? I just started few days ago, I have looked up some guides, most of them seem to be for people who have already played in the past.
@@_1z_ I designed these builds to be some what competitive but with as few actions as possible. Choosing 1 of these and getting it down would be what I’d suggest. The Atlanteans are easier to manage as they have half the villagers, so less to control.

How do you build 4-6 vaults? I just played a skirmish game to try this out and it`s just a technology you research from what I can see.

There aren't build orders you can follow every time after the advance to classical. Need to adapt to the map, match up and what the opponent is doing

I just use the mouse on the side of the screen. Most hotkeys can be customised, I imagine you can change the arrows to WASD

Gold mines are a rectangle, the longer side rather than the shorter

Farms gather the slowest out of any food source, and cost resources to place. Always better to finish hunt, herdables and berries first
