I keep floating between 980 and 1100 in ranked due to some personal bad habits, and I think this video helped me identify 2 of them. 1. Military buildings. Wood easily becomes my most plentiful Classical resource, and yet I usually only have 2 military buildings in Classical. There's no reason for it, but I have a terrible habit of doing it. In non-autoque matches, this kills me. 2. Raid more. I tend to underestimate how much a couple of well-moved units can do, especially in Classical. It's not about building up a huge army, just a couple units are enough to wreak some havoc. But I tend to hold myself back afer 1 raid, and then find myself on the backfoot for no reason. Great video!
Really neat that you put in the team game bit in there; I'm sure it's a lot less pressuring for newer players. FFA/team games also tend to be slower, so more time to notice mistakes and act on them.
@ I didn’t think deleting villagers where a viable thing , I did it once when I felt that I was missing out on something after (I did it because I wasn’t getting a big enough army) , also when you mean “all your upgrades” do you mean like all the upgrades you need for the build path your taking or literally every single available upgrade ?
That's fine, just build more production buildings so your s.aller army cam be replaced almost instantly, and then turn off Villiers production and expand Into another TC
Step 1 Look up IamMagic tier list Step 2 only pick S tier gods Step 3 complain on the AoM forums about your chosen god being to weak Step 4 ??? Step 5 Profit
@@Tomil4444Pretty much, yes. Maxing out villagers means a strong economy, meaning you can easily buy upgrades and quickly rebuild your army after a fight.
@@Tomil4444 This said, in very long games (when you notice you're emptying even a 3rrd~4th gold mine and expect the game to last longer) you might want to instead kill off a few villagers to make room for caravans + a market as a more stable source of gold without reducing your army size unnecessarily. Mainly a consideration in team / FFA games, but still good to keep in mind.

i have a issue on when to stop producing villagers, i always end up with more villagers than army.
you basically always want to get to 100 villagers, then after all your upgrades are in you can start deleting some.

This is the guide I always needed! Thank you so much!!
Step 1 , O CANAAAAADAAA
You've highlighted a lot of useful details. A good build on Uranium. I love playing for him
when the walls are cheeky 😁
THANKS mooses! A question... what GODS/units are better for PERFORMING RAIDS? Maybe in the classic age because sooner is better. Thanks ;)
Norse classical with freya raiding cav and valks with thundering hooves upgrade or Egyptian bast sphinx are 2 good options
Step 1 Look up IamMagic tier list
Step 2 only pick S tier gods
Step 3 complain on the AoM forums about your chosen god being to weak

Since this video is for new Players what tc exacly do? It gives some population and thats it
A second TC allows you to train more villagers vs an opponent with only 1 TC
@mooseaom so u always want to go for max workers cap? Since u start them from the start of the game

@@Tomil4444 yep, from an aoe2 player: the meta is spamming the villager button in every TC u have
