A matchup between 2 teams they were heading in opposite directions. The Lions were trending upwards a slow start and we’re 7-6 right in the WC and division hunt. The Jets meanwhile started 2-3 but then won 4 of their next 6 games to get to 6-5. But then came the Fake Spike game. And after they blew that big lead to Miami and got fooled by Marino on the Fake spike the Jets mentally and psychologically hadn’t recovered from it. They were 6-7 coming into this game and having a shattered confidence. This was the beginning of the end for Pete Carroll as the Jet HC. And the start of the misery run that the Jets would encounter.

Speaking of Carroll, this is an interesting coaching matchup between Pete and Rasputin Wayne Fontes

Except for the roof on the Silverdome, the old Giants Stadium and The Pontiac Silverdome look so much alike. Both Stadiums had the enclosed bowl shape, and both Stadiums had 3 levels and all 3 levels went around the whole Stadium and also with noth Stadiums percentage wise the upper and lower bowls i would guesstimate hold 40% of the seats while the middle level/clubseats hold roughly 20% of the seats. Both Stadiums are in the suburbs or in the Giants case a whole others state lol. I'm wondering if they had the same architect. I know it sounds stupid that I would even care enough to waste mt time even writing all this but what can I say im a complete sports NERD!

All stadiums need too be an outdoor stadium and real grass.
It just make the games better.
It does for me anyway 😂. If I'm flipping around channels looking for a game , I always look for the kinds I just mentioned .
