Kevin Harlan is in his ninth season as the full-time voice of Monday Night Football on Westwood One radio and will call Super Bowl 57 this Sunday. That’s who I’ll be listening to. 😊
Yeah. Bill Belichick never really figured out how to use him. Metcalf woulda been perfect for Jet sweeps and quick WR screens. Stuff like that. But no. We had an inside joke in Cleveland while they were there….Metcalf up the middle. Because that was Belichick’s big idea of how to use him more often than not.
@@robkeel100 I was a Warren Moon fan. I thought the offense was somewhat unique & exciting. So, when Moon 🌙 was there I often sided with Houston except when they played my #1 team.
@@paulkelly8232 One of those weeks the 49ers played the horrible Rams. And the Cowboys were at the Lions on Monday night. CBS and FOX liked putting them on a lot of NFC East games, so they did Redskins/Giants that week. The Redskins were a playoff team not long before that. So it made sense at the time. The other instance was the Cowboys were at the hapless Bengals. And the 49ers were on a bye. So they got Lions/Giants. And the Lions were a playoff team the year before. Speaking of the Giants, there was no one more streakier than they were. They opened the season 3 - 0. They lost 7 games in a row. And they closed out the season winning 6 straight games. But still missed the playoffs.
Nice to just hear the PA announcer and fans in the background. So many artificial sound effects these days at the stadium. "ITS THIRD DOWWWWNNN!!!" like no one knew
Ah yes. This is the Bill Belichick I remember. Boring offense and a dominant defense until the game was on the line. The best college coach as DC and supposed best pro coach couldn’t beat Dave Brown and Dan Reeves. Lol. Kinda funny when you think about it. Edit: Also, these geniuses went 0-3 vs PIT that season.
Today is week 1 of the 2023 regular season, and I'm watching a game from 1994 😂.
IMO, the most underrated broadcast team in NFL history; Kevin Harlan and Jerry Glanville.

They were fox first original football announcers team
I loved this crew. Harlan used to be Chiefs play by play before this.
Glanville was an ass

Metcalf was so versatile!

I like Jerry Glanville. Many do not. I get him ... and like him.
I always liked him too. And I’m a Browns fan who couldn’t stand the Oilers back in the day.

@@howUlikemenow Who’s your team? And don’t say Pittsburgh. That’s not an acceptable answer. Neither is Baltimore. Lol

Jerry Glanville: Why did the Giants ever get rid of these uniforms? Just wait, Jerry, they'll make them permanent!
Dave Brown and his band of renown
I wish Pat and John had called this game. They NEVER called a Browns game. The only team they never called a game for.
@jamiejohnson4524 .Absolutely!! 1996 against the Cowboys.
I believe they worked Cowboys/Eagles earlier that day. They were assigned almost every Cowboys or 49ers game that year.
@@fantasticvoyage262 Probably true, but they oddly enough called Detroit at NYG WSH at NYG from this year.

How were NFL broadcast booths set up in baseball stadiums then? Was the game broadcast in a suite down the RF line?

Me thinking what if the Browns never left. To be fair the city of Cleveland should have worked with Art Modell to build a new stadium
