Recently found your channel and just got a neat idea. What if you painted one mini from each faction, but you change the color palette to your tastes or completely new color schemes? 🤷 Good example, White scars.
Exactly, restoration would imply returning something to either its initial or intended state. This is just crap paint job on old 3rd/4th edition mini followed by a newly painted mini.
These vids make it look so mindbogglingly effortless. And it's also just so cool seeing someone fix up old models, the feels are good, and the end product is always absolutely awesome.
Not even really into the miniature’s but you do such a great job. Love the attention to detail. From the dirt and blood to the dust on the back of the legs. You are a true artist my friend
By the emperor the details on his boots with the sand and mud seamlessly covered up to his knees. The blood on the weapons chain sword attachment. It’s so beautiful! 😭

I love the fact that you put blood spatter all over the magazine, strap and back half of the bolter because makes sense that the chainsword-bayonet would be messy.

I got given so many of those womble helmet space marines back when I was a kid (late 90s early 2000s) and they almost all look like that wherever they sit in a box right now, the ones that don't were already painted when I got em, they're space wolves.
I’ve got a pre heresy world eater I converted from the brand new models, it looks amazing, I took all the chaos iconography off and painted it with metallic medium instead of white
7 months after this short was released and it is still my favourite world eater I've seen! Would love if you could do more heresey schemes but either way keep up the great content dude!!!
Would LOVE to see some longer form videos on the series of minis you did where they were all killed in various ways, both modeling and painting techniques used!

I’ve gotta say, I love this restoration series sooo much! Soon I’ll be starting my painting hobby for the first time by purchasing some paints, tools and the new world eater berzerkers - got any tips for me as a complete beginner? I’ve been eager to try for ages now but still can’t seem to shake off the nerves of trying to paint tiny little models with precision haha 😅
Don't be nervous! Everyone's first model is a little rough but hopefully I've shown that you can start over and try again as many times as you like. It's not about the final product. It's about relaxing and enjoying yourself while you're painting!
That red accent on the face plate adds a ton of character to the model, I don't think I've ever seen someone do that on a classic World Eater paint scheme.

Gosh the posing on the Horus heresy models, especially that walking one is so badass

I built dozens of those marines. Clipping the handle on the bolter handle was a much needed lesson.
