When I was in England I used to love listening to Steve Wright on Radio 1 he had me in stitches laughing, it was a shock when I heard of his death, may you rest in eternal peace Steve Wright.

Don't mean this in an unkind way but, latter day Steve closely resembled Peter Sellers playing a mafiosi in a fat suit in the Pink Panther, a famous outtake exists of Sellers cracking up at someone farting in an elevator. I feel certain that Steve would have played up to that with great humour.
Steve was the godfather of post 70's broadcasting here in the UK. He set the bar very high. Still unsurpassed particularly to those of us who listened from early 80's onwards, Diamond Geezer...... See you on the other side.

I remember steve talking about doing his own dentistry and during the pandemic bought a dental kit from the chemist as there was no chance of getting an appointment. I don't think I would have thought about doing it had I not heard steve talking about DIY dentistry
Ps yes the professional djs (as opposed to those who gained fame before getting a spot on the radio)) were much more relatable
