This is exactly how I felt when I saw cops in China. Half-expecting the police to go totalitarian on me for taking photos but in reality, they are far more chilled than the cops in US. :D
The truth is, the law enforcement in China has really delivered in the recent years and have basically turned it from a Wild West 2 decades ago to a safe and prosperous place. The Chinese love the cops because they know if they don't do anything wrong then they have nothing to fear. Once I saw a kid offering his drink to a Police Droid on a hot day. We all chuckled.

They are security staff who form the line to guide the people stream, more important to prevent stampede in emergency situations. You should learn about the stampede news in Seoul, South Korea. Westerners do not have this concept of public management. Of course, stampede incidents have also occurred in the West, but the authorities have not summarized management methods. Their tragedies will still occur.

Chinese desert are generally not overly too sweet. Concluding a desert as delicious or not simply based on sweetness is too primitive and easy.
Chinese not only considered flavor, color, and presentation but also on historical context, freshness, maintain original flavor, rareness of texture and most of all the balance between 5 basic taste buds.

Moreover, you can use your camera in front of the police at will, as long as you don't break the law and no one cares what you are doing. The influence of western media is really bad.

They've had a secret third person.for a while. In the past it was shown to be a female friend of theirs. I don't know if it's still the same. They've hinted that they have no interest in talking about it. So just enjoy the mystery.

No, no, no, that's not called a dragon, but a Loong. These are two completely different creatures. Dragons are evil, while Loongs are auspicious.

They are not the police police, they are auxiliary police to maintain public order since the holiday season crowds are immense and management is necessary, as you can imagine.
