    I decided to up my minimum in 2024 and it's working well. Since I do everything myself - sourcing, listing, shipping, etc... - I don't sell anything unless it gets $10+ profit and more often than not, I only accept offers that net $20 profit minimum. I list high but offer a 20% off 2+ items bundle discount plus shipping discounts or free shipping for orders over $100. My ACOG is still around $5 but my average price per item sold has gone up from $35 to nearly $50 every month and my order volume stayed the same.

    I think your new business plan is a good one. I'm heading in that direction. I started selling on ebay about 1 1/2 years ago and I have tons of inventory that was given to me to start my business. I thought I might as well list it since it was free to me. What I'm learning that free doesn't mean it's worth the time and space to clutter up my ebay room. Listening to you has given me the nudge to start donating low end items even if I purchased them. I think I'll be happier! Thank you for all you do!

    I had cleaned out my desk drawer from high school and found a bunch of loose Lisa Frank stickers. All for the 80's. Some were not even sheets but ones left over from a sheet. They all sold and I made a decent profit. I still have my sticker books from then and they are probably worth something too at this point. One is all Lisa Frank stickers.

    New reseller here. I was glad to hear you say that about pulling lower valued items from Posh because it told me I made the right move. I did the same thing after quickly realizing I was not really making a profit. O_o I did that also with hard goods until they remove the mandatory discounted shipping rule. 20% to Posh, a discount of 10-30% or more to the customer THEN discounted shipping...ouch.

    Hi Kat, thank you for all the information you are sharing, relly appreciate it! May i please ask how you get jewellery authenticated in cases when there are no stamps/signs or other manufacturer's marks but you are certain this item is a real deal? Do you take to jewellery store/appraisal to get an item certified? Many thanks.

    • @TheNurseFlipper
      @TheNurseFlipper  Месяц назад +1

      I personally don't get appraisals. If it's sterling I test it to confirm it is silver. There are only a few makers heavily copied such as Tiffany. You could test for sterling or gold and perhaps post in a jewlery group for thoughts on if authentic. Most pieces are not valuable enough to warrant a appraisal and an appraisal if you do get one be careful as some people have been getting appraisals and they tell them it's worth 3-4x current market value. If it's costume not marked in my experience 95% are worth under $20

    I've been a Financial Advisor for 30-years....I'm READY FOR A CHANGE in my life!!!! I absolutely love reselling. I currently have a sizable booth at an antique mall (that does very well), and I also sell quite a bit on EBay. Before I sell my business and get into the reselling game on a full-time basis, any advice for me?? It's a VERY scary step (wife thinks I'm nuts), but I am BEYOND burned-out being an Advisor (I could list a 100 reasons why) and I love reselling! Thx!

    • @TheNurseFlipper
      @TheNurseFlipper  2 месяца назад +2

      Figure out what you need to make monthly and make it for at least a few months before jumping and I'm assuming as an advisor you know to have savings put up because it can be up and down. I also would say to cross post if it's income you have to have and something happens you would need backup of listings.

    Excuse my ignorance as I’m new to selling. What do you mean, listing yourself vs having someone else do it? I want to start cross posting with the platform you recommend but need to research first. Thank you for being so kind and helpful ❤

    I watch all these videos on what to do to get started on ebay but no one has even mentioned getting a Fed ID #. Does everyone do their selling from their personal accounts and bank account and not under a business name. How does that even work . I have heard not heard one person mention the ID even though everyone says to keep the records like a business.
