Oh man, I’m sure so many of us can relate to that statement “if I had only known” the things I would have kept. While the things I chose to keep are worthless, but at the same time priceless. 😅
Just a little tip since I’ve dated a few motorcycle riders: the term “Moto” in the first one would infer they’re riding (motorcycle) gear. And motorcycle gear is notoriously expensive, if it’s any sort of quality. It’s to protect motorcycle riders when they fall. It’s not like the Harley Davidson branded gear, which is not worthless, but dramatically less expensive than Harley Davidson gear that’s been made for actual riding.
I paid over $1k for Ralph Lauren jeans and canvas pants. They were worth it. Also, I have purple label blazers. These are staples in my wardrobe that are classic and will never go out of style. It hurts to pay that much, but in the long run - it’s not and you’ll care for your items much more.
Fun Fact: I worked for Magnolia Pearl in the Very Early Years making production samples and when the brand was mostly bags. It was an amazing experience seeing the feeding frenzy at every drop. We had to use undisclosed locations and pop up timing approach. Sold worldwide now in very limited quantities.
3 ballmain jeans found Saturday at a tag sale...$2 each. I bought them to cut up for crafting!!! I ran into this video at 1am because I couldn't sleep! Pure serendipity! Ty I almost made a very expensive mistake!!! Oh and 2 Ralph Loren shirts ..same tag sale!
The first two in the video Balmain and Loewe are good to know for more than just jeans. They are luxury brands and for Loewe especially, their purses can be worth a lot of money too. Loewe is a Spanish brand, but the founder is German, so the w is pronounced like a v (Lo-EE-veh). Virgil Abloh worked for Louis Vuitton prior to his untimely death (cancer). So, Virgil Abloh Louis Vuitton items, again purses especially, can be worth big money too. And as we saw on your list a pair of LV jeans, not necessarily by Abloh, were worth big money too.
@TheNurseFlipper Michelle loved the skating rinks back in the day too! I was into the skate parks and rollerblading on handrails. Only broke my arm once 😅
Thanks, Kat! I have been selling jeans and researching jeans for a few months now. Was just in the Levi's rabbit hole last night. It's fascinating. My highest sale on a pair of jeans so far was 200. Thanks for these other brands I never heard of. By the way, RRL is Ralph Lauren. ❤🎉 Great video!
@vineyardedge, while down that Levi's rabbit hole did you happen to see big E LEvi's??? I once worked for a huge second hand business that sold Jeans amongst other items over seas as well as in their stores, but it was then that I discovered big E's, I've only seen 1 pair ever. They were ripped all to heck(this was way b4 ripped jeans were in style) and they sold for several hundred to some Japanese people that came to the store to buy thousands of dollars of used clothing. That's when I discovered how much Japanese really like used/vintage clothing, but they are very particular, they know what they are looking for, good quality. 💜💜💜
@lorimckellar2787 yes, I have heard of the Big E Levi's but have never seen them in person. Just sold my Orange Tab vintage Levi's to someone in South Korea! The quality was so much better than what we are used to these days.
10:54 Looks the the seller spelled the maker name incorrectly, and someone still found them. Other than Ralph Lauren, Luis Vuitton and Levis, I don't think I have heard of these brands, and wouldn't even look at them because most of them have a kind of shabby look. THANKS for doing the research. Learned lots on this one.😊❤
I sold a pair of JNCO jeans on auction recently and they sold for just under $200 ~ FOUR times. To four different winning bidders, all of whom had zero feedback, and all of whom cancelled the sale immediately after the auction closed. I'm still scratching my head months later. I finally put them on a BIN for $175 and ended up selling them for $165. I held my breath for 30 days fully expecting a return, just because the dang things seemed to have bad karma, but that one finally stuck. I don't know why some things have to be so hard.
I passed on some Japanese jeans as I was in a hurry and didn't stop to look them up.I didn't think they'd be anything. Big mistake! I had no idea about the jeans culture in Japan.
Anything Japanese there's a market especially with the young kids. I only know this because my now 20 year old used to do cosplay and into Japanese brands which is very niche. (Conventions were torture). Even on am antique market Japam is where it's at

I found a nice pair of Armani jeans at my local goodwill for $7. I'd love to find Magnolia Pearl when I'm out thrifting, those jeans are super cute I think I would end up keeping them.
Those Louis Vuitton jeans probably sold for less than $800 cuz I bought the same pair around that time on eBay for $700, and I think it was the same size. I know it’s hard to tell exactly what they sell for but there are other sold comps for $700ish. So still over $500, but nowhere near $2000
@thepoconoposher i bought one just for business it's locked we only use on wifi. I got it because there are so many apps and features only on iPhone lol. I still use Android for everyday use though
@TheNurseFlipper that is exactly what I was thinking about doing. I have an M2 Mini and it would be so much easier to air drop photos and videos instead of the back and forth between my phone and multiple apps.
