I want to make sure you know I will not play favorites on the thrift battle between you and Yvon. You are both amazing! I hold you both in the highest regard! I learn so much from you ladies, and what I learn is different depending on who I am watching, and I love that! I sure hope I didn't hurt your feelings Kat. If I did, I am so very sorry!
There are four of you that I watch faithfully including you and Yvon. I adore all of you, value each of you, and I just couldn't choose a favorite! I can't thank you enough for all you do!

A good tip for shipping multiple china pieces in the same box. Wrap each item with several layers of bubble wrap after stuffing any hollows with wadded up newspaper or styrofoam peanuts. Tape all of the wrapped items together in one big ball so nothing can knock against each other. Pick a box that gives about 2" of space on all sides between the big ball and the inside of the box. Use your styrofoam peanuts or wadded newspaper or whatever you use as padding to fill in the empty spaces while centering the big ball inside of the box. When you have enough packing materials in the box so the top of the box does not easily cave in when pressed, seal your box and it is ready to ship. I have never had breakage when shipping this way for either glass, china, or pottery and I have been selling online for over 25 years now.

During World War 2 US and England dropped 3900 tons of bombs on Dresden and destroyed 1600 acres of the city center. They wiped out the Dresden pottery business. That's why Dresden china is so rare and expensive.

I packed a whole Lenox china set and carried it on an airplane across the country without one chip. We also brought very delicate carved candles from Hawaii with no chips. The secret is in the bubble wrap. Wrap each piece first in small bubble wrap, then in the larger bubbles. Once each item is wrapped, cover the whole again with big bubble wrap as a whole, allowing no movement of the items. Then box it tightly.

The house was sold after he passed away and the new owners have no idea what's buried in their back yard. I live far away but one day I will go there and let them know, but I don't think the items will be in good condition after 48 years under ground seeing your video of the tea pots reminded me of the tea pots, My sister and I never told anyone and we all grew up and moved out and basically forgot about it.

But I know that I've seen some really beautiful teapots and passed them up. I even collect tea cups and saucers. I just love the beautiful flowers and fruit. They are my favorite. Rose Medallion and Rose Mandarin both feature Chinese characters on their pieces. Rose Medallion has alternating panels of people and florals with birds, usually around a center floral medallion. Rose Mandarin has Chinese characters, but not birds, only people, and usually has a decorative floral border. Rose Canton never has people- only florals, birds and insects. These are three subcategories of famille rose. Famille Rose refers more to the type of glaze and color pallet and it dates from the early 1700's. It was a favorite in the Imperial Court. It wasn't typically manufactured for export. The other three subcategories date anywhere from the early 1800s to the mid 20th century and were specifically made for export. There are specific ways to date the early pieces from the later ones, but I hope this helps a little or gives you a starting point. It can definitely be confusing! Good luck with your collection!❤️

I love your research videos!! One suggestion: don’t crop any part of the pieces in the images- such as any part of the knob, spout or handle, unless of course it’s a detail image. Some of us find it particularly satisfying to view the entire flow of each one. Keep up the excellent videos. Thanks!

I show the whole image so if cropped it was the seller doing it not me :-)

I am going to watch the replay because I came in at the last 10 minutes, but gotta go shopping for food first. Great teapots. The cheap things I've collected for $5 won't stand a chance against these lovelies, but, we gotta start somewhere. lol. Seeya later.

Omg, saw the Herend strawberry teapot on ebay, was gorgeous. I award you the Nobel prize for diplomacy; some of the collectibles are so hideous, but you smiled thru the whole thing.

Hello Kat, again Peter combs can identify a teapot for you and teach you. It's just 12 dollars. I think well worth it. Most have to do with age and how original it is. Alot of fakes. He is very knowledgeable. Great video! Love it, thanks again.

I learned so much with your research videos. I just found out that I have a nice collection in my China cabinet for my daughter's inheritance. I bought them with her so cheap when I didn't have barely any money to buy for her b-days.
    Thanks again

Catherine Holm is very popular among mid century modern enthusiasts. Twenty years ago it was fairly common to find second hand Catherine Holms bowls and plates, etc but now it's quite hard to come across. The Norwegian factory closed in the early 1970s.

Thank you so much, just won an auction with sugar, creamers, and tea pots. Will separate thanks to your advise. Have some bone china tea cups and saucers that are unmarked and I am unable to find anywhere… just listed those on eBay as unmarked bone china to see if they go anywhere…. Thanks for all the advise love watching you and Dalton

    Great video! Thanks!
I’m more of a gambler and set my all my auctions at 4.99 because I know they will go for much higher (gotta know what your doing)
A lot of my items I get for free so even if I don’t I still make money.
    And let me tell you,
I noticed the Chintz teapot you shown and I almost fell out of my seat.
Just yesterday I was at a church rummage sale and they had that on a table along with a sugar and creamer and the whole set was $10! It had the tags on them so they were brand new.
Well I kept telling myself should I get it or should I leave it.
I didn’t get it and now I’m beating myself over it.
I am so upset with myself lol.
Reselling is a continuous learning process. You learn over the years what makes profit and what doesn’t.
Even after years of doing this full time I still make mistakes based in ignorance.
Again, thanks for this educational video.
    You are great!

I was fascinated by the costume jewelry one also!
I'm not a resellar as of yet - need to become one just to empty my house and carriage barn!
