Gabriel was also an angel of the same level as Lucifer so it adds in a cool relationship component, they should’ve made it apparent that he isn’t a van Helsing but instead someone who was trained by them after he came to earth that would’ve been a bit better

I think in a novelization, it sneaks in a tie in with Castlevania with a nod to the Belmont family. Can't quite recall if they were distantly related, or just their paths had crossed at some point & remained on good terms with each other.

They kind of used up all the best material on the one movie though. I wish there was a continuation but you couldn't really continue the story what with Dracula getting killed. There could be a prequel movie about some of the other adventures leading up to the movie but that's about it. I would rather it be left alone than be ruined with a shitty sequel that doesn't live up to the original.

I absolutely loved this movie back in the day, in fact I think this movie sparked my love for the classic monsters even more, I remember watching this movie a lot and then I wanted to learn more about the classic monsters so ever since then my love for the classics grew to where now I want the Dark Universe to start and bring back the classics so bad. Despite the bad reviews of this movie I think it was on the right track and had a great idea that I personally feel like it this is how it should of started the dark universe with Van Helsing as the main character fighting the monsters in multiple movies & building up to the biggest baddest monster of them all. Even if Van Helsing wasn’t the main character in some he could still be the connection between the film’s helping other characters out with whatever monsters they were dealing with. Also I personally would love to see Hugh Jackman return to this role, I think it be great to see him as an older man with way more experience as a hunter, ready to go so every time he comes into the fight you know your in for a great fight scene. Awesome video by the way
