This is something I wish the movies showed more of how much wolverine has been shaped by violence.
They missed the perfect opportunity to do that in Origins with the major American wars.
That's Literally all they showed in the movie adaptation of the character. How he tried to live a normal life but was Always drawn in to shit he never wanted to be part of.
I wish all his appearences were gritty, violent and bloody like it was in Logan. Instead of the old poisoned tired Wolverine, we would have a total beast Just slaughtering fux right and left...
He was Always nerfed in the x-men movies and in origins he was newtered. If we got the Logan Wolverine 20 years ago, we would have a new Rambo/Terminator legacy.
Im glad they showed us the beserker in LOGAN, but I'm sad they didnt show it earlier...
I guess they kinda did it in Logan. Now he's heading to the MCU so we'll get even less of that. :(
YES! Much agree!
@guy c Hugh Glass!
Every time he appeared in the movies and summoned those claws it was like
Oh shit
Logan: *Summons claws*
Me, a low-level guard: Well, would you look at that, I just remembered that I have a dentist appointment today. *Runs away* YOU’RE ON YOUR OWN, GUYS!!!
@@SpaceCase132 right the paycheck ain't worth it
The comic book actually adapted him to look like HJ. Look classic wolverine.
“Summoned” claws made me cringe.
Legendary Ghidorah the movies didn't do him Justice!
(horrified) "What kind of monster are you?"
(Glares) "The Wolverine."
you forgot to type "bub"
Hugh Jackman literally looked like the comic book Wolverine he was made for this.
Other than his height.
@@DigitalDeath88 Yeah he's waaay too tall. Although how do you get an accurate Wolverine without CGI? lol
@bryan diaz varela Stated a fact. He looks like the original Wolverine except the original is something like 5'2. Really the only ones that complain are manlets who get triggered about height...
It's called make up
@@jpgduff hes 5"5 originally, that's tom cruise height
You forgot his greatest superpower: Keeping the Marvel IP mildly relevant till Iron man came out
"So This Is What It Feels Like." - Logan (2029)
Literally made me cry
Sad af
@@BruceWayne-ne1ez no, you are
@@youtubestudiosucks978 get a life 🤡
@@youtubestudiosucks978 cope
Wolverine is one of those tragic heroes.
And what's more sad about it is that all the people he cares about dies.
While he can't.
Alex Mercer sounds like the punisher
Seems kinda sus
Hugh Jackman will always be the true Wolverine.
Daniel you said it correct here.
Amen
Adam west
he was perfect in every aspect except for his height
@@anatypicallyhumanperson7200 yeah logan was meant to be something like 5ft 3
Fun fact: Wolverine in the comic books didn’t have an origin story for almost two decades from the Wolverine’s creation in 1974. Until the Weapon X comic series in 1991. Marvel had an alphabet list of superheroes origins, skills, capabilities, and abilities in comic book form called “The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe”, listing all of their super heroes from A-Z and in it most of Wolverines origins are listed as ‘unknown” at the time.
Growing up with the 90s cartoon Wolverine and Gambit were always favorite characters of mine. As more and more movies/animated series' came out it often felt like we were dealing with multiple storylines running concurrently. Didn't think they were mostly all threaded together.
I think it's funny how lots of people forget Wolverine is only like 5'3" in height.
Fr???
@@Optimusprimefigfig Yeah man. He's still a savage, though.
@@CallMeJ. wow
why did they make him so short?
Chris Benoit was small is stature but was called The Wolverine too damn shame how he and his family ended though, anyways size means nothing
One thing that a lot of people forget(and some comic arcs do hint at) is Wolverine's high intelligence. Wolverine, for all his berserk insanity and rage, is actually very intelligent. He has been shown to speak a number of languages, including Native American, Japanese, Spanish, Italian and Hindi(if memory serves me correct). No doubt a result of his having traveled all over the world in his 100 some odd years of life.
Just because he could take 10 years to finish a test you finished in 3 months doesnt make him smarter then you are
Itty bitty correction, and not even about Wolverine himself:
Romulus was actually more like Sabertooth power wise. He didn't have bone claws or adamantium ones that came from his hands. They were gloves. Wolverine cut them off during their initial encounter and taunted him for it.
"I'm not gonna become what you are. I'm what you've always wanted to be."
1:47, I remember reading that comic book issue 10 years ago. In fact, there have been over 200 comic book issues dealing with The Death of Wolverine!!
Never thought i would want this lol, think you could do Sabertooth next
7:28, Holy crap!!! Now, I really wish they had put him in the MCU!!!
afaik, Hes part of the avengers-sidegroup in most cartoon and comic storylines
Shaine White Well considering that the X Men are now part of the MCU Wolverine will be joining us.
Jack Dauphinais but it sadly will most likely not be hugh jackman
@@maclaintrepanier2511 can't allway's tell that because what happened with tom holland's Spiderman when Sony and Marvel redone there contract so i think hugh will be the old Cool claw slicer
Maclain Trepanier Yeah. Though if I recall correctly he did say that he would be up to reprising his role as Wolverine for the MCU.
Can't wait for part 2!
Great vid when's part 2 coming out?
I still get goosebumps just by seeing him. Please do the second part!
This is awesome. Always wanted to know Logan's background. Awesome video!!
Definitely going to need that part 2
This was dope bro! Thank you! We need part 2 asap!
I can’t wait for part two!! This is awesome! Thank you for all of your hard work
Hes my favorite marvel character. His background is so interesting
Glad to see you did a video on my favorite cantankerous X-Men. Of all my favorite supes (Wolvie, Cap, Bats, Spidey, Blade, etc), I always sympathized the most for Logan. He deserves the love!
Oh man Wolverine is one of if not my most favorite Marvel characters I cannot wait for part two thank you your videos are so good always very good quality and excellent narration
Loved this one
Perfect video. Did my favourite marvel character justice. NEED part 2
Another awesome video. You're one of my fave RUclips channels! Wolverine is a beast!
Complicated origin is the least one can say can't wait to see part 2 it gets crazier.
Favorite comic book character by far and I always learn something new with these videos
I’ve started a deep-dive on Wolverine; thanks mainly to your video comparing the Old Man Logan graphic novels vs how that story influenced Logan. I’m about half way through....and wow! What a ride! It’s nice to see you explore his origins, though I don’t see myself actually reading the thousands of comics he’s featured in.
That’s my long-winded way of saying do as many more of these as you need to/want to! They won’t go to waste! 👍🏼
That was great. I'm up for a part 2 & 3. 💚
Love this! Definitely cant wait for part 2!
I love all your videos, but this one right here has to be the best one you have ever done. Please do the part 2.
Always a pleasure, great job Niat! Always love your videos
Great segment! Looking forward to pt2!!
A second would be awesome. Your videos are always a pleasure to watch.
Oh Man! Wolverine is my favorite character in Marvel!!!!
Imagine being in war
Enemy 1: dude wtf
Enemy 2: what?
Enemy 1: I’ve shot the same guy like 12 times in the head and he’s still shooting back
Enemy 2: you mean that guy running over here screaming menacingly?
Enemy 1: yeh that one
HACKS
I laughed more than I should have at this
Now imagine you're in World War I and you tried killing The Wolverine and everybody else dies but you and then World War II your kid sees the Wolverine and you can swear it is the same guy then then his kid see the Wolverine in Vietnam War or Afghanistan war this guy would scare generations of families
@@cohollow7174 nah, he just had a good gaming chair
My love for his character & comics in general started in 1990, when I was just 10 yrs old, with Marvels 1990 card series.
Yes yes yes yes please do part 2 I'll be Patiently waiting ;)
Great job brother!!! Every clip u make u murdered it man. Good work bro. Love ur content 👍👍👍
PLEASE MAKE A SECOND!! I loved it
It should be noted that Logan having bone claws was a retcon and that it was forced into his history causing a conflict with earlier issues and art!
As late as the early 90's there is an X-Men Jim Lee cover that clearly shows the bionic claw housings in his forearms.
Character history is important to understanding the characters and retcons hurt more than help.
He was never intended to be James Howlett!
Please make pt2!! Keep up the good work
Just leaving my like and comment to inform you I'd love to hear part 2 from you. I'm always amazed how well you lay out everything you go over in your videos. Great work man, and wolverine part 2 or not I'll always be looking forward to your next video
Can’t wait for the 2nd part. Great video!
I love this content keep it coming! Much Love brother
Cool! Thanks for this! I love Wolverine! He's a pretty badass character! I wish Hugh Jackman would come back to playing the character in the MCU.
Wooooow! So Much different than the Movie portrays! Of course, the novels have had more time to develop back stories. Not sure which I like better though.
My fav character , Hugh Jackmen did such a great job as Wolverine better than any one else could Awesome Video hugs :)
Excellent video Niyat, TFS. Part 2 of this one would be great too :D
Hey awesome video! Really I love your videos man, the amount of work and effort. I love it. So are you working on part 2?
Alright, gave you my view. Hopefully you have time to do part 2.
Content was well researched and brilliantly narrated as usual.
awesome video cant wAIT FOR part 2 Please!!!!!
More of this please.
Can't wait for part 2. He's my favorite Marvel character of all time.
Logan has a long history due to his healing factor they could make many brutal and interesting movies about him or a tv series which has to be R-Rated of course.
This is making me more hype for MCU's Logan/Wolverine
Great job as always mate!!
Unrelated but can you do more novels like 28 days later series. I absolutely love hearing you cover them and I listen to them at work 🙏🙏🙏

wolverine is actually having a healthy mind, he never gets crazy or any mental illness.
*Trauma left the chat*
More please! Love this channel!
I really, really, REALLY want to know, how it continues.
I miss part 2 of this history of violence and also the 2. Part of the fall of wolverine.
I'm from germany, and my hearing and understanding of english isn't the best, but your explanation is so good, that i understand everything and also can follow the story only by guiding of your words.
Thanks 4 that...
No offense, but two parts doesn't seem like enough to cover this legendary man.
