  • Hey guys what’s happening? Niyat here with film comics explained, and as voted for by everyone in the latest poll, today we’ll be exploring Bram Stoker's Dracula.
The 1992 Gothic horror directed by Francis Ford Coppola, based on the 1897 novel Dracula by Bram Stoker, which is arranged in epistolary format; told through diaries, letters and telegrams written between the main characters.
Dracula is one of the most famous pieces of literature, with many of the characters simultaneously entering popular culture and remaining there as archetypal versions of their characters; from the infamous Count Dracula who is the quintessential vampire, to Abraham Van Helsing, the quintessential vampire hunter.
Starring Gary Oldman as Count Dracula in a captivating performance that is matched by the gravitas of Anthony Hopkins as Professor Abraham Van Helsing, and including a supporting cast of Keanu Reeves as Jonathan Harker, Winona Ryder as Mina Murray, Richard E. Grant as Dr Jack Seward, Cary Elwes as Lord Arthur Holmwood, Tom Waits as R. M. Renfield and Monica Belluci as one of Count Dracula's brides - it follows a group of friends connected by tragedy that team up to halt Dracula’s plan of taking over the world.
