1 Corvette. Just was blown away the first time we saw them in game. 2 Anaconda The bottom half is our favorite part! Also only ship with persistent damage. 3 Chieftain Looks like a Decepticon Shark. Sharks are rad. 4 Python Don't know why. It's like an okay-looking girl who's really funny and is your best friend but that's about as far as you'll go with her. 5 DBX Never flown it but looks really cool especially the way it changes shape. Having said all this. No other ship Mars would rather fly than Orca. also type 7s are the devil!
No love for the Courier? I bought it as soon as I could afford, merely for the looks. The Type 6 is the first ship I owned that I liked to pause to take a look at.

Also I love the military look of it, simple but good. 5:FDL: reminds me of a slice of pizza and I'm Italian so...
I got to say I think that every since I saw the first FDL in game I thought it was a sweet-looking ride. It's not even my favorite ship but I love its Sleek look. It just looks fast
Okay say what you will but I actually kinda like the long brick. It's got the nice space truck aesthetic while having a more elongated shape than the T9. And it's got that sweet yaw speed.
I just got into Elite Dangerous and it's been the most difficult game I've ever played and I absolutely love it. Before deciding to take the plunge and invest in the game, Horizons, and a Thrustmaster T16000M, I watched a few of your videos and I was almost immediately sold, but after one or two more, the sale was made. Thanks for the great vids and especially this one for showcasing a few of the more awesome ships I can eventually get my hands on!

I'm sort of in love with the Eagle, personally. It's really just a cool starfighter which this game doesn't seem to have a lot of. Like you say, the Imperial version looks like they just welded a bunch of unnecessary stuff on it. I also favor the Fer-de-lance, Asp Explorer, either of the Kraits, Corvette and Imperial Cutter.
Ehhhh, I can't decide if I like or hate the vulture, I like the general shape of it but the cockpit is the most awful looking thing and does not fit the ship in the slightest in my opinion. The concept art for the vulture looks amazing though, and the cockpit fits so well, I don't know why they fucked it up so badly for the final design.
I think the Clipper would look a smidge nicer if they rounded out that weird looking front part where the cockpit is and brought the nacelles in just a bit more.
I agree. I love my Clipper, and the interior is awesome, but it does look a bit like a late model vehicle where the original was more streamlined, but at some point newer designers started just slapping bumper and fender kits on just to have a "current year" model. Still better than most ships in the game though!
oh yeah man: totally agree about Corvette. It was my main reason to "charge" this game. It's just a definition of space battleship. When I was a child I dreamed to be like this ship (possible this wish is appropriate even now)
Umm... Yamiks? I might be a SaudKruger fan, but I honestly feel like Mars from GhostGiraffe held you hostage and forced you to put Orca in the list instead of the glorious "space almond" (the Python).
I would say my list goes something like this: 1) Corvette - I love the look of the Farragut and the Corvette is just a smol Farragut. 2) Mamba - Do I even need to explain this one? 3) Adder - It's so cute and I love it so much. 4) Eagle - It looks and feels like a proper fighter plus it kind of reminds me of a Romulan ship. 5) Vulture - This thing just looks nasty.
awesome vid mate :) and... as you made me think of my personal top... here it is: Adder - upgraded shuttle design, brings me memories of my Old Diesel Opel Kadett and the sound fit so well! Imp. Clipper - rough fight with the Cutter, but personally, the forehead doesn't stand out so much as the Cutter Fat Gut. DBX - the dragonfly inspired design at it's best Dolphin - as I love the fish tail and the more rounded design (Orca looking a big blobish from the front) Anaconda - wierd, but I actually like her underside and would much prefer it to be the top part. That big panoramic window would be awesome for cockpit and the industrial design makes it look like a city, yet it contrasts well with the clean look when you turn her around. Doublefaced ship?!... Fitting for being an awesome multifaced aka multirole ship Keep growing man!
1. Alliance Chieftain. Looks like a badass space helicopter. 2. Diamondback Explorer. Also a badass space helicopter. 3. Federal Corvette. Holds its own with any capital ship from (name your favorite sci-fi universe). 4. Vulture. So maybe it's not pretty from every angle, but from some angles, it definitely is. 5. Eagle. Looks like a starfighter, acts like a starfighter, is a starfighter.
I’d vote the Python over the Corvette. As a bonus, it has 3 wide forward facing high beam lights and it’s outside lighting is great. Maybe you just need to see it fly in the dark.

1: Thargoid Hydra - It threatened to devour my home star if I didn't give it the top spot. I don't blame it. If Green was at its sexiest, it would be in the shape of this demon. 2: Imperial Cutter - It's a beautiful ship. It's the prettiest of all the Gutamaya ships, the interior is sleek and high class, and the ship kits for it are FAAAAAAAAAAAAABULOUS! 3: Dolphin - It's the tiny beauty of Saud Kruger, and it makes me heart melt when it sings its beautiful boosting song. 4: DBX - It's my Starbug. Having Leo as the voice just makes it so much better... smeghead. 5: Python - My best ship for utility, and it looks good to boot.
Corvette is definitely my number 1. I really liked the vulture. Took me a long time to get to it (started before the whole painite rush was a thing). It's got a nice cockpit for vr if you are having trouble with heights.
As a proud Conda owner myself, I couldn't agree with you more about it looks. (Amazing analogy by the way, had me in tears). Still, I have made some amazing memories while flying it and don't think I'll ever change.
I don't like either and it's pretty much exclusively because the cockpits look like fucking modern day airliners and clash so aggressively with the rest of the design for me.
Just a funky late comment here, but, of interesting note... Something else that really sells me on the looks of the Type-9 are all the small details. Seriously, go into the free camera suite and just look at it, there's so many little believable details on the exterior it's just fantastic. And while difficult to see anywhere but in the free camera mode, the massive 'main' rear thrusters on the Type-9 rotate and 'vector' depending on where you're pitching and rolling the ship, especially noticeable when stationary.
I love Imperial Courier for how it looks inside and outside. But I like your video as well. Those are always a pleasure to watch! Cheers from St. Petersburg!

To me, the Kriet Mk2 es the girl of my dreams. That "upside down" design have something... In the other hand, the THICCnes of my Type-10 helps me in those lonely nights in the deep space...
1. Cutter 2. Corvette 3. Krait MkII 4. DBX 5. FDL Hastily thrown together. My reason for the Krait is because from the outside, it looks like the Millenium Falcon, from the inside it looks like the Pillar of Autumn. DBX looks kinda like a Pelican from Halo. FDL looks like a racer with its arrowhead design.
I have to agree with the Corvette, it looks efficient, clear cut and powerful, just like a Star Destroyer... and now with one of the new Paint Kit, I can call one the Boba Fett's Imperial Destroyer!!!
Honestly, I love the look of the Anaconda. Especially the back behind the cockpit. Those little wings and the black spot between them look so good. And don't even get me started on those heat vents.

My list - 5 Dbex. Landing gear thruster action is what the chieftan can only aspire to be. 4 Imperial Courier. That banana design reminds me of the same line that all modern Lamborghinis are built around. Seriously go on Google and look at any modern model, from nearly every angle the roofline has that same iconic curve. 3 Fer De Lance. Sleek and sexy Ferrari in space. 2 Corvette. Because R34. 1 Cutter. Because Pagani. Honorable mentions are the Eagle because f18, Chieftan because thruster sexyness (minus the landing gear engine no clip), and Orca because space yacht.
i wish when the vette deployed hardpoints, the whole cockpit part sank into the ship, and the 2 halves of the ship came together to close that valley in the middle and look more sleek and armored.
Krait II gets my vote for 2nd place. Even with the wires. Exterior is gorgeous and interior view “structure” is quite nice. 1st place, I’m in agreement with Yamiks.
My personal all out top ships out of the 38 ships in game atm including the upcoming phantom and Mamba would be... 37 - Type 6 - it is basically just a flying brick 36 - Keelback - same as the type 6 but with vast improvements in terms of the engines and other aesthetics 35-33 - Federal drop/gun and assault ship - 3 variant design ships with honestly an overall just slightly shaped brick like appearance, would have been less of an issue had maybe the cockpit been elsewhere or the ship had a more streamline shape to it. 32- ASP Scout - Not a horrendous looking ship, but it resembles a shaped brick again. 31 - ASP Explorer - Better in some ways than the scout but not enough to give it any more of a score than this 30 - Type 7 - very much a giant brick hence it's lower score, only reason it got this high is for how it reminds me of a ship from red dwarf 29 - Sidewinder - Basic flying doorstop. 28 - Cobra mk3 - much better version of the sidewinder, an overall pretty decent looking craft, just also suffers from the shaped brick look as the above do 27- Cobra mk4 - same deal as the mk 3 but bigger. 26- Orca - out of the 3 cruise liners this is the least aesthetically appealing one, it feels more like that early days cruiser that wouldn't cost alot to get on. 25- Vulture - one of the first ships of interest that takes the brick and shapes it properly into something actually kinda cool looking 24- Hauler - simple looking little space shuttle design kinda neat but nothing super special 23 - Adder - More sleek version of the hauler, reminiscent of Starbug from Red dwarf, pretty cool little ship 22 - type 9 - Big bulky beefy ship, another brick gone right, looks like a halo ship and as such is pretty cool 21 - Krait phantom - seems to be a minimalistic variant of the krait mk2 nice looking in that it is streamlined but it looses points as it did strip down most of the nice parts of the original. 20 - Federal corvette - Nice looking ship in some aspects but the shape being that it is so close to a space Dorito(star destroyer) looses its higher potential place, though it does have aspects similar to an oversized venture class, it just doesn't hit home for me. 19. Type 10 - similar to the 9 only with more aesthetically awesome aspects to it, this feels once again like a halo ship but with more beef, cool overall 18. eagle - nice looking fighter and one of the best looking ships you can get early on, this is a pretty neat ship through and through. 17 - Viper mk3 - similar to the eagle in terms of my opinion on it, add on to the fact it looks like a viper from battlestar 16 - Diamondback scout - probably one of the cooler looking blocky ships the game has to offer, this small little ship is what the federal lineup wishes it looked like 15 - Viper mk 4 - far cooler version of the mk3 with a design that feels more compact and awesome 14- Diamondback explorer - bigger better version of the already very cool scout. 13 - Beluga liner - one of the best looking bigger ships in the game, far greater that the orca in appearance, sleek, with style, the wings truly add more kick to this ships appearance making it feel less like a shapely tube and more like a luxury space cruise liner 12 - Imperial courier - like the rest of the imperial lineup this ship looks wonderful, it has a lovely streamline shape and actual nacelles which for a star trek fan like myself makes this ship a pretty great thing, and one of the best to fly in game 11 - Krait mk 2 - another amazing ship that reminds me in some ways of a defiant class mixed with a longsword fighter, also has one of the best interiors in the game, even has a coffee machine. 10 - Fer de lance - another great ship, kinda like waverider meets normandy, very sleek appearance and a great looking ship overall 9 - Anaconda - this ship looks similar to and certainly fits the role of an intrepid class with half its stardrive missing, far more appealing than the corvette in that the underside and rear end take away some of that star destroyer look for a more appealing to me at least star trek esc vessel 8 - imperial clipper - beautiful ship, with again a star trek meets space shuttle design to it, very nice and awesome overall. 7 - Imperial eagle - like the eagle only better in literally every way, colour scheme, nacelles, rollbar, everything about this eagle is just so much nicer to look at than the base version, 6 - Imperial cutter - a big beauty of a ship, the best looking big ship imo and a smexy one at that. 5 - Python - this wonderful ship hits so high for its similar appearance to the U.S.S. Relativity in terms of it's overall shape. 4 - Dolphin - the best looking passenger ship in the game, like a mini beluga 3-1 - alliance lineup - truly spectacular looking ships, these things are like gutumaya and sand kruger lovechilds with the alliance flag over them, streamline, nacelle like aspects, mixing halo, star trek and mass effect into a trio of amazing ships, these would have been the best if it where not for one other recent addition Best ship - Mamba - this updated fer de lance for me resembles the closest in game reference to a steamrunner class, which incidentally is my favourite star trek starship, this beautiful craft will likely replace my current fer de lance as main combat craft when it finally drops, and is likely to hold that top dog spot for some time, though that may change if any further ships are added, right now we have had an explorer/multipurpose and a combat ship, leaving the floor open for a cargo ship and an explorer/multipurpose, depending on what the krait phantom falls under.
corvette, it's like a more smartly design star destroyer, you know, missing that obvious "shoot here" tower that makes about as much sense as a spoiler on a space ship, coughdefendercough
"Core Dynamics would hunt you down for betraying the Federation" Fun lore fact, Core Dynamics pretty much designed the Imperial Eagle. They sold the Eagle Mk I to both superpowers, then when the Federation caught them and got angry they sold their Imperial shipyards to Gutamaya along with the rights and schematics to a slightly modified Eagle. They'd just be like "haha nice, we did the same thing"
I don't know why but when I look at Diamondback Explorer it reminds me of a hornet. It was my first goal ship and I love how it looks but then I saw how Chieftain looks and I fell in love.
I personally would have had the kraits on that list. I think they definitely look better than the federal gunship. Their design is pretty unique and I am actually kinda found of the visible wires in the cockpit.
1. Corvette, without a doubt a great looking ship. 2. Cheiftan, it looks to me like Lakon saw the pelican from the Halo series (before 343) and danced around some copywrite infringements. 3. Python, because it looks like a proper combat ship. 4. Both vipers, because they look like tiny versions of the python. 5. Both Diamondbacks, mainly due to their uniqueness, but also I like angles, and both of the diamonds have them.
1 fer de lance. the ship that made me look into getting the game in the first place plus it looks fricking amazing while its beating your face in 2 cutter. I love it so much because it just reminds me of something that i would love to fly 3 cobra 3. for being the first ship i truly fell in love with when i was only starting out 4 diamond back explorer. don't know why but it feels like this would be like that old car model from the early 2000's that teens get when they first pass their drivers licence 5 anaconda. it was the first of the big 3 i saw and i got interested from it becasue it looked like something i would definitely use . cutter just looks better in my opinion

I'd agree with the corvette being top 3 in looks, but the way the bridge sits way above the ship kinda kills it for me. It looks really nice, angular and streamlined until you get to the bridge.
I approve that the type 9 got an honorable mention. There's just something special about that huge, fat industrial look. It just looks like it doesn't give a fuck about anything. I love it. If it was for me it would be in the actual top 5.
My favorite ships by looks 5 - Imperial Cutter 4 - Diamondback Explorer 3- Type-9 Heavy 2 - Federal Corvette 1 - F63 Condor My ultimate winner is the condor. I love the detail on the ship. It's so small but it looks good from any angle. The side wings, the oversize engines, it's got it all. Honorable mentions Fer-de-lance. I'd give it the top spot if this including ship kits and paint jobs, but these all beat it's stock appearance. Krait. Not in game yet but it looks really cool. It might make top 5 depending on the paint job. Sidewinder. Not that good to look at from the outside, but it has my favorite cockpit. I wish ships had unique HUDs and displays. It's disappointing that frontier didn't think of that. I'm sick of the same holographic display and unusable instrument panels. Give me instruments, Frontier!

Imp. Clipper - rough fight with the Cutter, but personally, the forehead doesn't stand out so much as the Cutter Fat Gut.
DBX - the dragonfly inspired design at it's best
Dolphin - as I love the fish tail and the more rounded design (Orca looking a big blobish from the front)
Anaconda - wierd, but I actually like her underside and would much prefer it to be the top part. That big panoramic window would be awesome for cockpit and the industrial design makes it look like a city, yet it contrasts well with the clean look when you turn her around. Doublefaced ship?!... Fitting for being an awesome multifaced aka multirole ship

1. Alliance Chieftain. Looks like a badass space helicopter.
2. Diamondback Explorer. Also a badass space helicopter.
3. Federal Corvette. Holds its own with any capital ship from (name your favorite sci-fi universe).
4. Vulture. So maybe it's not pretty from every angle, but from some angles, it definitely is.
5. Eagle. Looks like a starfighter, acts like a starfighter, is a starfighter.
Lol the Imperial cutter looks like the space ship from Futurama. It even has stairs in the front gear.

I’d vote the Python over the Corvette. As a bonus, it has 3 wide forward facing high beam lights and it’s outside lighting is great. Maybe you just need to see it fly in the dark.

I like the the T-10, it looks like a really badass tank, really built off a T-9. I also feel like the guardian fighters are awesome!

1: Thargoid Hydra - It threatened to devour my home star if I didn't give it the top spot. I don't blame it. If Green was at its sexiest, it would be in the shape of this demon.
2: Imperial Cutter - It's a beautiful ship. It's the prettiest of all the Gutamaya ships, the interior is sleek and high class, and the ship kits for it are FAAAAAAAAAAAAABULOUS!
3: Dolphin - It's the tiny beauty of Saud Kruger, and it makes me heart melt when it sings its beautiful boosting song.
4: DBX - It's my Starbug. Having Leo as the voice just makes it so much better... smeghead.
5: Python - My best ship for utility, and it looks good to boot.
Corvette is definitely my number 1.
I really liked the vulture. Took me a long time to get to it (started before the whole painite rush was a thing). It's got a nice cockpit for vr if you are having trouble with heights.

As a proud Conda owner myself, I couldn't agree with you more about it looks. (Amazing analogy by the way, had me in tears). Still, I have made some amazing memories while flying it and don't think I'll ever change.
Love the Diamondback Explorer, and, yes, the Type10 Defender. Ok it might not make sense from an aeronautical point of view, but I love it.

the cutter has a cockpit that blends into the ship a lot nicer while still having a nose, the clipper has a really really weird nose...
I don't like either and it's pretty much exclusively because the cockpits look like fucking modern day airliners and clash so aggressively with the rest of the design for me.

Just a funky late comment here, but, of interesting note...
Something else that really sells me on the looks of the Type-9 are all the small details. Seriously, go into the free camera suite and just look at it, there's so many little believable details on the exterior it's just fantastic.
And while difficult to see anywhere but in the free camera mode, the massive 'main' rear thrusters on the Type-9 rotate and 'vector' depending on where you're pitching and rolling the ship, especially noticeable when stationary.
Totally agree on number one, I mean who would like to fly a star destroyer, and Core Dynamics made it come true.

Hastily thrown together. My reason for the Krait is because from the outside, it looks like the Millenium Falcon, from the inside it looks like the Pillar of Autumn. DBX looks kinda like a Pelican from Halo. FDL looks like a racer with its arrowhead design.
I was expecting the FDL and the Vulture at some point but no dice.

Honestly, I love the look of the Anaconda. Especially the back behind the cockpit. Those little wings and the black spot between them look so good. And don't even get me started on those heat vents.

5 Dbex. Landing gear thruster action is what the chieftan can only aspire to be.
4 Imperial Courier. That banana design reminds me of the same line that all modern Lamborghinis are built around. Seriously go on Google and look at any modern model, from nearly every angle the roofline has that same iconic curve.
3 Fer De Lance. Sleek and sexy Ferrari in space.
2 Corvette. Because R34.
1 Cutter. Because Pagani.
Honorable mentions are the Eagle because f18, Chieftan because thruster sexyness (minus the landing gear engine no clip), and Orca because space yacht.
I do agree with you on things other than your taste in tabletop tho, That Corvette and the R34, Masterpieces of design for purpose.

i wish when the vette deployed hardpoints, the whole cockpit part sank into the ship, and the 2 halves of the ship came together to close that valley in the middle and look more sleek and armored.

Krait II gets my vote for 2nd place. Even with the wires. Exterior is gorgeous and interior view “structure” is quite nice.

My personal all out top ships out of the 38 ships in game atm including the upcoming phantom and Mamba would be...
37 - Type 6 - it is basically just a flying brick
36 - Keelback - same as the type 6 but with vast improvements in terms of the engines and other aesthetics
35-33 - Federal drop/gun and assault ship - 3 variant design ships with honestly an overall just slightly shaped brick like appearance, would have been less of an issue had maybe the cockpit been elsewhere or the ship had a more streamline shape to it.
32- ASP Scout - Not a horrendous looking ship, but it resembles a shaped brick again.
31 - ASP Explorer - Better in some ways than the scout but not enough to give it any more of a score than this
30 - Type 7 - very much a giant brick hence it's lower score, only reason it got this high is for how it reminds me of a ship from red dwarf
29 - Sidewinder - Basic flying doorstop.
28 - Cobra mk3 - much better version of the sidewinder, an overall pretty decent looking craft, just also suffers from the shaped brick look as the above do
27- Cobra mk4 - same deal as the mk 3 but bigger.
26- Orca - out of the 3 cruise liners this is the least aesthetically appealing one, it feels more like that early days cruiser that wouldn't cost alot to get on.
25- Vulture - one of the first ships of interest that takes the brick and shapes it properly into something actually kinda cool looking
24- Hauler - simple looking little space shuttle design kinda neat but nothing super special
23 - Adder - More sleek version of the hauler, reminiscent of Starbug from Red dwarf, pretty cool little ship
22 - type 9 - Big bulky beefy ship, another brick gone right, looks like a halo ship and as such is pretty cool
21 - Krait phantom - seems to be a minimalistic variant of the krait mk2 nice looking in that it is streamlined but it looses points as it did strip down most of the nice parts of the original.
20 - Federal corvette - Nice looking ship in some aspects but the shape being that it is so close to a space Dorito(star destroyer) looses its higher potential place, though it does have aspects similar to an oversized venture class, it just doesn't hit home for me.
19. Type 10 - similar to the 9 only with more aesthetically awesome aspects to it, this feels once again like a halo ship but with more beef, cool overall
18. eagle - nice looking fighter and one of the best looking ships you can get early on, this is a pretty neat ship through and through.
17 - Viper mk3 - similar to the eagle in terms of my opinion on it, add on to the fact it looks like a viper from battlestar
16 - Diamondback scout - probably one of the cooler looking blocky ships the game has to offer, this small little ship is what the federal lineup wishes it looked like
15 - Viper mk 4 - far cooler version of the mk3 with a design that feels more compact and awesome
14- Diamondback explorer - bigger better version of the already very cool scout.
13 - Beluga liner - one of the best looking bigger ships in the game, far greater that the orca in appearance, sleek, with style, the wings truly add more kick to this ships appearance making it feel less like a shapely tube and more like a luxury space cruise liner
12 - Imperial courier - like the rest of the imperial lineup this ship looks wonderful, it has a lovely streamline shape and actual nacelles which for a star trek fan like myself makes this ship a pretty great thing, and one of the best to fly in game
11 - Krait mk 2 - another amazing ship that reminds me in some ways of a defiant class mixed with a longsword fighter, also has one of the best interiors in the game, even has a coffee machine.
10 - Fer de lance - another great ship, kinda like waverider meets normandy, very sleek appearance and a great looking ship overall
9 - Anaconda - this ship looks similar to and certainly fits the role of an intrepid class with half its stardrive missing, far more appealing than the corvette in that the underside and rear end take away some of that star destroyer look for a more appealing to me at least star trek esc vessel
8 - imperial clipper - beautiful ship, with again a star trek meets space shuttle design to it, very nice and awesome overall.
7 - Imperial eagle - like the eagle only better in literally every way, colour scheme, nacelles, rollbar, everything about this eagle is just so much nicer to look at than the base version,
6 - Imperial cutter - a big beauty of a ship, the best looking big ship imo and a smexy one at that.
5 - Python - this wonderful ship hits so high for its similar appearance to the U.S.S. Relativity in terms of it's overall shape.
4 - Dolphin - the best looking passenger ship in the game, like a mini beluga
3-1 - alliance lineup - truly spectacular looking ships, these things are like gutumaya and sand kruger lovechilds with the alliance flag over them, streamline, nacelle like aspects, mixing halo, star trek and mass effect into a trio of amazing ships, these would have been the best if it where not for one other recent addition
Best ship - Mamba - this updated fer de lance for me resembles the closest in game reference to a steamrunner class, which incidentally is my favourite star trek starship, this beautiful craft will likely replace my current fer de lance as main combat craft when it finally drops, and is likely to hold that top dog spot for some time, though that may change if any further ships are added, right now we have had an explorer/multipurpose and a combat ship, leaving the floor open for a cargo ship and an explorer/multipurpose, depending on what the krait phantom falls under.
As some one that has military experience I love the vette. It just feels the part.

Fun lore fact, Core Dynamics pretty much designed the Imperial Eagle. They sold the Eagle Mk I to both superpowers, then when the Federation caught them and got angry they sold their Imperial shipyards to Gutamaya along with the rights and schematics to a slightly modified Eagle. They'd just be like "haha nice, we did the same thing"
Corvette looks great and my #1 too. Honestly, most of other ships have the bad design or just average looking, that make Corvette even better.

I don't know why but when I look at Diamondback Explorer it reminds me of a hornet. It was my first goal ship and I love how it looks but then I saw how Chieftain looks and I fell in love.

I personally would have had the kraits on that list. I think they definitely look better than the federal gunship. Their design is pretty unique and I am actually kinda found of the visible wires in the cockpit.

1. Corvette, without a doubt a great looking ship. 2. Cheiftan, it looks to me like Lakon saw the pelican from the Halo series (before 343) and danced around some copywrite infringements. 3. Python, because it looks like a proper combat ship. 4. Both vipers, because they look like tiny versions of the python. 5. Both Diamondbacks, mainly due to their uniqueness, but also I like angles, and both of the diamonds have them.
Honestly this is a realy balanced list i spected yamiks to put the cutter as number 1

2 cutter. I love it so much because it just reminds me of something that i would love to fly
3 cobra 3. for being the first ship i truly fell in love with when i was only starting out
4 diamond back explorer. don't know why but it feels like this would be like that old car model from the early 2000's that teens get when they first pass their drivers licence
5 anaconda. it was the first of the big 3 i saw and i got interested from it becasue it looked like something i would definitely use . cutter just looks better in my opinion

Believe it or not, i've always been a fan of most of the Lakon ships....but I also love old boxy cars, so there ya go
I'd agree with the corvette being top 3 in looks, but the way the bridge sits way above the ship kinda kills it for me. It looks really nice, angular and streamlined until you get to the bridge.

I approve that the type 9 got an honorable mention. There's just something special about that huge, fat industrial look. It just looks like it doesn't give a fuck about anything. I love it.

My ultimate winner is the condor. I love the detail on the ship. It's so small but it looks good from any angle. The side wings, the oversize engines, it's got it all.
Honorable mentions
Fer-de-lance. I'd give it the top spot if this including ship kits and paint jobs, but these all beat it's stock appearance.
Krait. Not in game yet but it looks really cool. It might make top 5 depending on the paint job.
Sidewinder. Not that good to look at from the outside, but it has my favorite cockpit.
I wish ships had unique HUDs and displays. It's disappointing that frontier didn't think of that. I'm sick of the same holographic display and unusable instrument panels. Give me instruments, Frontier!
