Great Video as usual! But on a serious note, I think it'd be a good idea to have relevant Engineering Missions at each Engineers Base. (i.e. You do a couple of missions and get rewarded with enough mats to do your next upgrade/experimental effect ) The Mission difficulty would increase depending on the grade of the mats you're after. Okay so it'd still be a bit of a grind but at least you'd be actually doing something while striving to improve your ship.
I love this game, and am an old-timer going back to the 1984 8-bit version. You clearly love it too or you would have stopped your content long ago, so it constantly amuses me that you are so critical of FDev, although you are right, of course. You are right about the grind, and as far as I can tell that could be reduced by significantly reducing the amount of materials required for each Engineering upgrade, and to comensate for that FDev could close the 'Exit to Desktop' exploits - which I use all the time of course. And you are right that for FDev to accept these as 'Valid Gameplay' is nonsense and an admission that the game mechanics are deficient. There is so much content out there, including your excellent videos, INARA and so on, and that compensates for the almost total lack of information from FDev in the form of game instructions. That's why the community has grown, and it signifies to me that the players all still love the game, despite its deficiencies. Keep it up - you are doing good work :-)
I'm just discovering this video! It's awesomely helpful thank you! The best bit about the Jameson crash loop is there are always canisters around the crash site too which respawn after you've logged out and logged back in! Free money to go with the free mats basically! 😂
Yeah, not wasting all that time into engineering. The time that you spend building tHe PeRfEcT sHiP can be used to play whole other games. Or live. For now on my personal experience, the only suggestions I can give are: 0) Don't play in public sessions so that engineering doesn't really matter. 1) Get any small/medium sized ship and do a mediocre engineering for bounty hunting to get money. 2) Get a DBX or ASP Explorer with a SRV, build it for Exploration and do just the minimal effort to get the Guardian FSD booster. Don't bother about any other Guardian shit. 3) Open the game only when you feel like doing missions, exploring, killing, or wasting time getting better ships to get bored doing the things you were doing with older ships. 4) If you think the game is worth it, get into the community as it's better than the game itself. Edit: 5) Don't buy Odissey. You got the game for space exploration and stuff, you already have a better FPS on your PC.
Yamiks thank you for the video. I've decided to not go to the pub and instead will focus on enjoying Elite Dangerous with my free Epic character I got about two years ago. My main character is fine. I just wanted to see if there's any improvements. Regarding the material, data & mineral acquisition, and looking at the mission rewards on both characters makes me want to go back to the pub instead of playing the game & acquire materials through the normal mission route. The rewards are paltry 2 grade 5's per mission, sometimes 3 grade 4's. That's only if you can complete the mission which may or may not be bugged or attainable without the best ship fit possible, which you don't have of course, because otherwise you wouldn't be looking at material acquisition as it's already been done. Or at least done as far as you want it to be. It is such simple fix that they can do in a few minutes. Increasing the minimum and maximum payout values from Grade 3+, getting them in to storage bins near mining locations because why not, even people on foot combat missions can then also gather materials. It won't devalue the items for those that do like driving around on a moon surface - They will do that instead of the combat mission - but it would allow people to progress without this min/max planning process which detracts from the game where there are already two possibly three out of game apps loaded before you've even placed the joystick(s) down. It's sad because we both want what is best for Elite, but there is little thought for the player experience from the lead designers, let alone the concept of respecting the players time. Sure I will play for 100 hours unless it feels like a second job. There are many games I've easily spent that in a short period too, single player and online. The reason was because I was having fun and it was nice to come back to it again and again. It didn't feel like menial grinding or chores, it was a good experience and a good time was had by all. FDEV share price is at the same place (480p) as it was in April 2016, a short five months after the release of the Horizons update. Trading at nearly 1,500 for the two Covid years it took a 50% dive at the beginning of 2023. It would surely be an interesting proposition to crowd fund a take over as long as talent can be retained, in order to get people who i. Really love Elite and ii. Actually play games from this century. I'm sure a vast percentage of the Elite Dangerous dev team want to make the improvements to the low hanging fruit, and to smooth out the harsher edges as to what the game expects players to do as an enticement to progress. Other companies have managed to get it almost spot on (no one is perfect after all), but something is holding Elite Dangerous back and it's not the player base who provide the out of game tools and utilities that themselves and the rest of the player base feels are necessary. Really sorry for the long post necro but the video reminded me of what Elite Dangerous could be and has yet to become after seven years.
Thanks to your video, I have decided to just not do the grind and stick to my regular routine of PvE bounty hunting and space trucking with my vanilla ships. The most I currently do is collect materials I come across while bounty hunting and that's about it. I only play this game to chill in VR. I don't need a second job in my life.

In fact I'm 99% certain if I logged in now my character is still just sat at the Jameson crash site
Part of me wants the devs to come back and support console but part of me doesn’t bc I know they would do a full wipe if they did. And I’ve put too much effort into the game so far so I’m it’s not gonna be fun to get back to where I am if they do a full wipe
When you state it will take "X" amount of hour's of game play, your not including the research using the various guide's that have their own hugh learning curve to utiize in a sufficent manner. I'm coming back to ED, well Odyssey after a almost two year hyatis, when Odyssey was first released and was totally broken. Though I've been back only 8 days's which when I play some 6 to 8 hour's a day, and another couple just doing research in regards to what I may desire to accomplish. Ten hour's a day. Finding out about EDENGINEERING today is the first I've heard about it. THANK YOU!!!
I haven't watched the video yet, bit I just really got into the game a week ago and started engineering yesterday. Few road bumps so far but this is perfect timing.
This game makes me wanna become a game dev knowing full well I could do much better. Even with no experience or skills, I'm sure my game would be more rewarding and fun to play. I was thinking of making a clicker but without any upgrades just a button and when you click the button it would say "good job" and then give you +1 score. (edit) - The one thing this game does well is inspire me to study, because it's just about as much fun but much more productive.
I played the game when it was on Xbox game pass a while ago, thought I’d buy it and give it a shot, fresh save relearning everything and I found it so much easier this time through with their being many months between playing and I’m discovering even better ways to get money, I didn’t realise conflict zones give so many credits in the early game compared to other missions, obviously they’re a lot harder, frustrating and sometimes just plain luck I’m enjoying them game all over again. Oh yeah what I came here to say, the Xbox user interface and tools to show you how to play the game are really good imo a little challenging at first but the whole game is meant to be a huge challenge not to mention it’s made by literal baboons. Great game would recommend, bring antidepressants.
Ugh, this is literally making my head spin, just got back from a 3 year break with a fresh CMDR. Kinda regretting starting fresh since all this tihS has been added in my absence lol. It's not so bad, 'early' money making seems a lot easier (only if you know what to do though) and I'm already working on getting parts for my FDL. You know what the worst part is? The game basically forces you into engineering even if you're just doing pve. Enemy ships are balanced with engineering in mind, it's pretty ridiculous. At the end of the day I'm glad to be back and I missed you bro
Much respect from this space grind slave.. I keep a chair under my ceiling fan with a nylon rope hanging off it just incase I decide to expedite my frustrations on myself..lol
Still have have my full note pad and pen (old school) for writing down materials and places to get them. Nowadays it’s a whole lot easier (if you wanna call this grind easier) to get upgrades because back in the day you still had to have commodities and cargo space, and you only got one mineral instead of three when you’d surface mine. And additionally it was the Random generator that determined your improvement (See past Yamik’s vids on RNG).
I believe it's a mistake to look at engineering as anything else than a "side quest". It's not your goal, it's not your mission, you don't *have* to engineer anything. If you look at it like this, it becomes obvious why it's such a grind. You make it one. Because you want to fill your belly with all the mats you'd ever need long before you actually need them. That's like looking for a speed run, then be irritated about the fact that the speed run doesn't really exist. The relogging is weird though. They could just add a ton more materials to a site and remove the relogging trick.
Eh sometimes I just want to enter those conflict zones and blast some ai ,I can't do that without getting my back blown out because the ai is over engineered to hell basically punishing anyone who doesn't have engineering for engaging with content that you have access from the start of the game. And it doesn't make sense too in a system with 25k people or 5 billion you get the same types of enemies they got there elite pilots guardian backwater planets as they are guardian there main industry . Why isn't it system based
“… cause you will, like a catholic priest - use it maliciously” - this is the proof of how one sentence can earn you a like and a subscriber. Heck, I’d press the “Love” button if there was one. 😂👍 Great job, mate!
Thanks for taking the time to lay it all out for us. However - after hearing how tedious Engineering is - I'd much rather go back to the office, and continue working -- than waste my time on this terrible game mechanic. For added context, it's the weekend -- and, I'm salary. I want to love this game. Why, FDev? Why?
Thank you. I got into the game last week and already have an Anaconda I'm working on gearing up. And I loathe the backwards logic of engineering materials. I do combat on the ground and in my ship. Miners do their mining thing. Explorers do their thing. Etc. So why is the game making me feel like the only efficient way to improve my ground gear and engineer everything is to be a thief or pirate raider butchering settlements and a miner taking an srv to some remote planet to mine raw materials? I'm pretty sure with enough money you can just order phosphorus and selenium and other stuff IRL. Let's not pretend in the future we will go backwards to everyone having to farm their own.
I agree that the plasma pistol is good, but the rest of plasma weapons suck in my experience. Tried different weapon combinations in high intensity conflict zones, I found that these work best for me: Loadout 1: Dominator suit Rocket launcher Laser rifle Plasma pistol The laser rifle breaks shields fast, the rocket launcher and plasma pistol deal massive amounts of damage to unshielded foes. Loadout 2: Dominator suit Rocket launcher Laser smg Plasma pistol The laser smg is one of my favorite weapons... it's weaker than the laser rifle, but it still manages to break shields with relative ease. Rocket launcher and plasma pistol for unshielded enemies and crowd control. Loadout 3: Dominator suit Rocket launcher Kinetic rifle Laser pistol The laser pistol is weaker than the other 2 laser weapons, but it still manages to break shields reasonably well. The kinetic rifle doesn't deal as much damage against unshielded foes as the plasma pistol, but it's easier to hit moving targets with it and it's still reasonably lethal. Loadout 4: Dominator suit Rocket launcher Rocket launcher Laser pistol / plasma pistol This one has the potential to be the most devastating loadout, but I still have to apply stowed reload and magazine size for the second rocket launcher. As for the rest of weapons I've tried... The plasma sniper rifle only has 3 shots and it's too slow The plasma smg is disappointingly weak The plasma shotgun only has 2 shots and it isn't accurate nor lethal enough to compensate for this The kinetic smg feels badass, but it doesn't hit hard enough, better to use the kinetic rifle instead
I can't wait until your Twitch stream have official Elite Drops for content creators.... unless they run off of limited drops like the limited digital keys for creator content.
I watched the whole video, but I'm not doing any of it lol. And I've come to realise that you have to, because even NPCs use engineered ships... so it's time for another game. E:D was so good back in the day, really bummed to see it's in this state after returning for Odyssey/Horizons Thank you for this. Your video was very informative and entertaining :)
Just got back into the game (quite right after engineers came out) and realizing how sucky this is going to be. Also, after playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla for the last couple months, your voice and accent had me feeling right at home. Bro, I feel like you could definitely be a Viking Voice Actor. Go for it!
I would love to see a video about the top ways to find other players in the game. I have a thousand hours in game and played at the start of the game. Coming back after years I find it hard to encounter PVP. Tip video on that would be most appreciated.
When talking about the increased FSD range - you mention that "it will lessen the time it takes to get anywhere". Some may misunderstand that to mean that the jumping process is quicker. I think it would be better to point out that it increases your jump range meaning that you have to make less jumps to travel long distances and in some cases some systems are only accessible with an increased FSD range. What it sounded like was that the actual jump time is shorter as in the time in witch space.

I’m just getting into this game but I don’t have a normal life I don’t sit down I’m always going doing this and that. So time is extremely important. There’s no auto pilot Iv been intercepted and blown up in the super long faze dive to a station that takes like 30min to get too losing all cargo with no way of getting it back is sad. I’m trying my best to figure out how to play and be on the go but even the mining belt is Dangerous lol 😂 🎉 haha I’m not off to a good start.
I decided to get CP 2077 instead of Odyssey for FPS gameplay and I'm really enjoying 2077, taking my time with it, doing all side missions etc, for my space fix I go to Horizons in VR.
I know when I played a few years ago I went all in on the engineering but I can't be assed to play pvp or do engineering so can I still achieve satisfactory killing without it , I've been mining and delivering so far so haven't even been in combat on current playthough
Judging by the comments there still are a decent amount of new players. Really hope they all got horizons without odyssey though. If I’ll ever start playing thats what I’ll do, and wait for a discount too because these developers don’t deserve any reward for all the shit they pulled the last year.
I have almost all engineers unlocked with G5 access and many engineered ships, this is the first I'm hearing that you can quit the game to farm the same high grade emission signal source. I'm at a loss for words.
dont say u did not youtube or google this game to find whatever u wonder about or used third partys tools. That`s why ED should get a community award. damn must have been hell for consoles, multitask on the console or combine it with ur phone.
I think FDev intended engineering to be a thing you would do more gradually, but it rarely plays out that way in practice, especially since a lot of material sources are out of the way of typical day to day activities. Definitely fell flat on its face in execution, which is why people feel forced to use methods that are faster, but actually feel like a job, not playing. I think one solution available to us players to reduce the tedium of grind, is to find ways to integrate material gathering into our existing playstyles, if possible. I've developed a few methods of acquiring a slow, but steady stream of certain materials that works well enough (for me personally at least) to reduce the need for dedicated grind to mostly just the occasional data and raw collection session. For manufactured, I use the cargo scoop on my combat ship after killing a ship and pick up any materials G3-G5. When G3 or G4 gets close to full, I trade *within the same category* up to G5. When those are close to full, I will cross trade into the two categories that pirate/mercenary ships don't drop (heat and mechanical I believe). As an alternative option for those two categories, it's possible to get them from killing trader/tourist NPCs in an anarchy system at some sort of PoIs (the most common example of this method is the Hot Jupiter tourist beacon in Vesper-M4, although I don't know if that particular example is still valid). For data, I constantly use the "select next target" button in supercruise and around stations, this nets me some lower grade data for little effort. I also carry a wake scanner on my taxi and sometimes scan wakes after leaving stations if there's a few already spawned. This can be done in any ship that has a spare utility slot, and power managing the wake scanner avoids wasting power that could be used for more useful modules instead. As an alternative to Jameson relogs, there's also megaship hacking, which can be done without relogging as reinstancing in space is faster than on planet surfaces. And lastly, for raws, it's fairly easy to fill up on G1 and maybe even some G2 materials from laser mining (if one doesn't mind that sort of thing of course). Besides that, it's a matter of shard forests or roving on planets, neither of which integrate particularly well outside of exploration playstyles. It could definitely be better and the onus is on Frontier to design even a halfway decent gameplay loop for materials, but there are less time efficient ways (purely for acquiring materials at least) that offer a limited solution to grind, which is to pick up materials where possible within regular gameplay. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
Yeah exept they shove massive events down your throat you cant event compete in without engineering, and there are other players to worry about too, its not something that can afford to do gradually
@@femushy You can, most of the meaningful rewards are available at 75% of contributors, rarely is something worthwhile higher than that. And even with engineering, good luck getting into the top 10%, let alone top 10 CMDRs, because you have to commit hours to what is usually a cookie cutter CG. I can personally attest that getting top 10 CMDRs at a trade CG, for example, requires doing the objective for most of the day for a week straight (and I did that in an unengineered ship, so it's not impossible). If you're referring to the recent CGs with thargoid hunting and meta-alloy gathering, you're unlikely to be particularly competitive at the former in CGs unless you dedicate a lot of time towards learning AX combat anyways, but you can always piggyback off events such as Finance Friday or just find a wing to carry you, as all you need to get the bond is to just have tagged the thargoid before it dies (within a minute or so) with any weapon. As for the latter, the bottleneck is mostly just the collection part as meta alloy gathering itself is a time consuming process. To get to the delivery system, you can also just hitch a ride on someone's fleet carrier. And lastly, even if there are time sensitive FOMO modules (which is a scummy thing that shouldn't be done for functional game items at the very least), they're usually not too impactful or they get added to tech brokers somewhere down the line.
Just got back into the game after about 3 or 4 years since I bought it. Still not sure if odyssey was worth the purchase, especially after learning how the grind is. But I spose it's still better than grinding good star gear in destiny 2...maybe...
Engineering grinding in this game feels like something EA or Ubisoft would implement in their games so you needed to buy boosters or straight up get the upgrade with microtransactions, but you can't even do that. 10 dollars for each upgrade is better than the intended gameplay entirely purposed to tax your life choices because you wanted to go 10 m/s faster or pew pew 1 second more.
The inane, boring and soul-crushing busywork is what got me to just drop trying to engineer. I just play on Solo. My Krait has a jump range of maybe 20 light years, but I am *not* doing another minute of engineering even if it means improving jump times. Fuck it, I'll just jump 500 times over a period of actual months of gameplay to do exploration, but at least I'll have fun just flying around and exploring the galaxy without inane busywork.

Keep it up - you are doing good work :-)
'a rope just in case' i see what you did there with the boondock saints reference lmao! you're the best yamiks!
purely coincidence =}
Right as I got my sister into E.D
This video couldn't have come at a better time 🙏
Lol, yeah, I just got into the game myself. About a week in.

How You Doing Now?
I'm just discovering this video! It's awesomely helpful thank you! The best bit about the Jameson crash loop is there are always canisters around the crash site too which respawn after you've logged out and logged back in! Free money to go with the free mats basically! 😂
Yeah, not wasting all that time into engineering. The time that you spend building tHe PeRfEcT sHiP can be used to play whole other games. Or live.
For now on my personal experience, the only suggestions I can give are:
0) Don't play in public sessions so that engineering doesn't really matter.
Edit:
5) Don't buy Odissey. You got the game for space exploration and stuff, you already have a better FPS on your PC.
Unlike the gameplay, this video was quality.
Thanks man you helped answer a lot of questions I had about engineering, love your videos keep up the awesome work.
Dude... your commentary is hilarious! And the lessons useful. That was just awesome.
So are you saying that deep down you love Elite Dangerous?. yes we did it the hard way, yes it was a slog, and yes that is 2,363.9 hours of Elite Grinding i will never see again. But every hour i have Burned i find the game to be what it is. Simply Beautiful Love you dude always Have, keep up the good work you do, there are still new players out there who need you. God Speed o7'
Contemplating on going back to to playing elite
*Yamiks uploads*
Me: it’s settled then
You're a saint for making videos like this Yamiks.
I love Elite but haven't played in a while, anytime I consider going back I remember this absolute nightmare. I'd love to go all in on things like AX but the engineering grind is one of the worst features I've seen in a game.
Your content is very wholesome and makes my day.
Thank you!
admittedly rather critical and even maybe negative, it's not exactly wholesome I would describe it, still GLaD you enjoyed!
Another great clip. Always worth a chuckle. Cheers and Beers 😄😁😃
"These upgrades like the plague, came from animals."
well... plagues do come from animals and burn thru population due to our species not having same imune system as the progenator animal species
I want to love this game, but it gets harder the more I learn about it.
I already know all this. I'm just here to listen to Yamiks throw some shade. :D
Much respect from this space grind slave.. I keep a chair under my ceiling fan with a nylon rope hanging off it just incase I decide to expedite my frustrations on myself..lol
i love the way you pull the game to pieces but obviously have played it to death.
Why isn't it system based
I can't watch it for long. Man, that load of bitterness is killing me :D
my eyes have been opened
all right time to make preparations for colonia
Thanks mate
Each time I click on an Elite Dangerous video and I hear your voice... I know it's a top tier video 🤗
10% info 90% ranting
Do ED players actualy like the game?
“… cause you will, like a catholic priest - use it maliciously” - this is the proof of how one sentence can earn you a like and a subscriber. Heck, I’d press the “Love” button if there was one. 😂👍 Great job, mate!
well.....there is a "thanks" button you know (superchats stuff)
I just got my first python. What engineering components should I prioritize first?
I love elite, but the grind is horrible. Thanks for making it more feasible!
Your commentary is hilarious. Love it!
Let's not pretend in the future we will go backwards to everyone having to farm their own.
great vid as per usual yams
Why not just have each engineer give a mission related to their upgrades. Then just buy the upgrades with credits. It was already in the game.
I'm a simple man. Someone insults the Catholics, I subscribe.
Their clergy more than earned their bad reputation...
I agree that the plasma pistol is good, but the rest of plasma weapons suck in my experience.
Tried different weapon combinations in high intensity conflict zones, I found that these work best for me:
Loadout 1:
Dominator suit
Rocket launcher
Laser rifle
Plasma pistol
The laser rifle breaks shields fast, the rocket launcher and plasma pistol deal massive amounts of damage to unshielded foes.
Loadout 2:
Dominator suit
Rocket launcher
Laser smg
Plasma pistol
The laser smg is one of my favorite weapons... it's weaker than the laser rifle, but it still manages to break shields with relative ease.
Rocket launcher and plasma pistol for unshielded enemies and crowd control.
Loadout 3:
Dominator suit
Rocket launcher
Kinetic rifle
Laser pistol
The laser pistol is weaker than the other 2 laser weapons, but it still manages to break shields reasonably well.
The kinetic rifle doesn't deal as much damage against unshielded foes as the plasma pistol, but it's easier to hit moving targets with it and it's still reasonably lethal.
Loadout 4:
Dominator suit
Rocket launcher
Rocket launcher
Laser pistol / plasma pistol
This one has the potential to be the most devastating loadout, but I still have to apply stowed reload and magazine size for the second rocket launcher.
As for the rest of weapons I've tried...
The plasma sniper rifle only has 3 shots and it's too slow
The plasma smg is disappointingly weak
The plasma shotgun only has 2 shots and it isn't accurate nor lethal enough to compensate for this
The kinetic smg feels badass, but it doesn't hit hard enough, better to use the kinetic rifle instead
I can't wait until your Twitch stream have official Elite Drops for content creators.... unless they run off of limited drops like the limited digital keys for creator content.
imma come in and say hi
and to yamiks, when will the hauler duel take place?
New to the game love your commentary
I watched the whole video, but I'm not doing any of it lol. And I've come to realise that you have to, because even NPCs use engineered ships... so it's time for another game. E:D was so good back in the day, really bummed to see it's in this state after returning for Odyssey/Horizons
Thank you for this. Your video was very informative and entertaining :)
Keep the ED stuff coming man, I like seeing new videos. Ive watched most of the older ones from many folks.
You should talk about the engineering re-balance.
It affects veeeeerrry little.
Just got back into the game (quite right after engineers came out) and realizing how sucky this is going to be. Also, after playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla for the last couple months, your voice and accent had me feeling right at home. Bro, I feel like you could definitely be a Viking Voice Actor. Go for it!
I love your videos. I don't like all of the swearing. But the connect outside of that is great.
this is just surreal
I would love to see a video about the top ways to find other players in the game. I have a thousand hours in game and played at the start of the game. Coming back after years I find it hard to encounter PVP. Tip video on that would be most appreciated.
Wet considered fdev constantly driving players away don't count on finding many , maybe look up some forums ,or patrol the bubble
What it sounded like was that the actual jump time is shorter as in the time in witch space.
i tought my pc had a crashing problem. thank you
8:29 The website doesnt work anymore from the descrpition, anywhere else I can find the Crystalline planets list? I tried Inara or Iddb but I dont know how to search for it
hmmmmmm... well the wiki page should still help out!
edit : added alternative

WERE DEVS THINKING?!
Your dreads look f****** dope by the way
This guide is still useful a year later. Nice!
Especially considering the game is so dead not like we'll get a video like this soon.
how do you go outside your ship?
I know when I played a few years ago I went all in on the engineering but I can't be assed to play pvp or do engineering so can I still achieve satisfactory killing without it , I've been mining and delivering so far so haven't even been in combat on current playthough
@yamiks this could have been a lot shorter

Judging by the comments there still are a decent amount of new players. Really hope they all got horizons without odyssey though. If I’ll ever start playing thats what I’ll do, and wait for a discount too because these developers don’t deserve any reward for all the shit they pulled the last year.
I have almost all engineers unlocked with G5 access and many engineered ships, this is the first I'm hearing that you can quit the game to farm the same high grade emission signal source. I'm at a loss for words.
quality gameplay!
“HORRIFIC, PLAYER-ABUSING, AND MALICIOUS GAME DESIGN”
Yeah, that accurately describes Engineering.
You have a gift. I am not sure what that gift is, but you have it. Hilarious!
Yup. Grind is brutal at best. I do at least feel a sense of accomplishment.
dont say u did not youtube or google this game to find whatever u wonder about or used third partys tools. That`s why ED should get a community award.
damn must have been hell for consoles, multitask on the console or combine it with ur phone.
Yamiks - you already have Australia citizenship - your C bombs have unlocked Australia.
"Besides a months worth of antidepressants" 😆🤣
"Contemplate the meaning of death"
Is the logging in and logging out still the way to get data matts?
You're bold to assume that new players stick around long enough to learn about engineering in the first place.
After upgrading my enforcer cannons, im a dakka god!
Did manufactured material farming get fcked??? Logging out and logging in takes forever now for me because of the way they changed shader/generation
Yup they did.. Play Horizons...
You can turn off shader preparation on startup within the graphics settings if it's taking a particularly long time.
Thx for the update. This gameplay mechanics for famring mats sucks, ur absolutly right.
Nice TED talk
I still play on the ps4 its great having a universe to myself might even buddy up with some thargoids
Ive only been playing rarely but since the game launched. I really have no idea how this system works or what the fuck my SRV is supposed to do.
Watch more Yamiks! He knows all....
so almost 2 years latter how does this hold up? did they fix anything?
same... nothing has been altered, changed or balanced at all.. NOTHING!
This one's sanity must've already crumbled.
Just got back into the game after about 3 or 4 years since I bought it. Still not sure if odyssey was worth the purchase, especially after learning how the grind is. But I spose it's still better than grinding good star gear in destiny 2...maybe...
Actually that last part sounds like saying that testicular cancer is better than brain cancer
About 10months late but hey!, Still i will take this Engineering System over what it use to be!
Legacy is looking real yummy right about now. I want to say at least with legacy it doesn't crash every 20 minutes.
