Just sat in my towel after the longest bath of my life.. curled up in bed, drinking hot tea, and unwilling to wear proper clothes and watching your video. Ahhhh peace. The Friday night of the 30’s club’s dreams!!
People experiencing scents differently is one of the most fascinating aspects of the fragrance community, so I love these videos! I enjoy listening to people describe scents, regardless of whether it's a positive or negative reaction, or if I love the fragrance or not. For what it's worth, I also can't get down with Chanel fragrances. My unpopular opinion is that they wouldn't be nearly as popular without the Chanel name.
I personally can’t wear many Chanel scents (LOATHE Coco Mademoiselle entirely), but, on my mom, No. 5 edt smells like a subtle, sweet powdered donut - delicious! It’s so amazing how much of a role body chemistry really does play in how something comes across.
I enjoy so much watching these videos!! You're so funny and so fun to watch!! I love how you don't spend a ton of time on each perfume, it's just perfect description and explanation for each of them 🥰🥰 my absolute favorite types of videos for sure ❤
I’m known at work for always wearing different perfumes, and I think you hit the nail on the head w/ Chanel Chance eau tendre, I wore Lancôme idole, and a guy their complimented me a couple of times, I wore the chance, and the same guy asked what it was… then said “it smells like flowers”. “Kind of an old lady smell”! Lol! So…. Im thinking it’s because like u said, it’s over done, and honestly, it’s been around for a long time. It’s funny because most reviews u hear on that one says its fresh & a “youthful” scent… I don’t view it the same anymore and your review put it into perspective for me:)
I’ve been BINGE WATCHING your videos because I’ve finally found someone that has very similar frag taste as me! ❤️Totally agree with you on wanting to smell a bit more unique. Everyone’s entitled to their opinions and some ppl just need to stop taking things so personally. Anyway, love your presence in the fragrance community! You’re so funny, expressive and frank. Awesome fragrance descriptions 👍
We are so subjective. Probably this is why there are soo many fragrances for all the tastes. Blossom love is such a gorgeous fragrance for me. Now, with spring here..it's been my fav fragrance for about an year...
Chanel’s popular with me because I’m a migraine sufferer and for what ever reason it’s one of the few designer perfume brands that doesn’t trigger migraines. In fact Coco Mademoiselle actually makes me feel better if a migraine is coming on.
Girl you keep on keeping it real! We can’t love them all 🤷🏻♀️ Have you tried Clean Reserve Radiant Nectar? There’s a Pear 🍐 Ambrette combo. When you said you picture someone “Irresponsible” when you described GG I was like yassss! 🙌🏼 I wear it out when I know Dennis will be getting me home at the end of the night 🥴 He loves this one too 😈 I’m split with the Chanel house, love many and dislike many too, I can’t get on board with the No. 5’s or the Allures. This video was fun, per usual 😘
@@AnneLauren hi how are you i hope you are doing well you should change your channel name to anna and you should try out my burberry blush perfume 😇 i would like to see your first impression video
I hate when perfumes seem “familiar” because when you realize what it smells like, it’s ruined! Philosophy Fresh Cream was one that I’d use for layering, until I realized it smelled like Cheerios
right?? I know reviewers are just doing their job when they tell us what a fragrance reminds them of, but sometimes I'm like noooo why did you say that?!? 😅 omg Cheerios 😂😂 I haven't gotten my nose on that one!
I make fragrences. Try to test fragrances with a higher amount of naturals rather than cheaper clones. Eg Aqua Di Parma. Also check out a Roja Dove video on which people gravitate towards certain fragrences. Interesting.
Wow, how different we are when it comes to scents!! My signature is Acqua di Parma Fico di Amalfi and Mirto di Panarea. Théy are so beautiful, unique and quality parfumés. They smell soooo natural… I feel so uplifting when I wear them, I feel so cool and they remind me of Italy. The bottles….I’m speechless how gorgeous they are and that colour… how I love that blue. After I watched the interview with Paola Paganini here on u tube and I saw the passion, how they use natural extracts from Amalfi coast citruses trees, how far in the world they go to bring other natural extracts for their parfumés, she talked how important quality is instead of quantity … I just start to trust this niche house. I’m a very picky person when it comes to parfumés, I have headaches from synthetic notes , I just can’t wear shoppers drug mart parfumés and many from Sephora I just find so synthetic. Also I wear sometimes Killian Bamboo Harmony and Nest Indigo , but Acqua di Parma is my nr 1
I love your skin-makeup would love a video on what you use…you absolutely glow! I enjoy the good and not so good opinions and descriptions of the perfumes! Thank you so much!
Sooo interesting how everyone experiences a fragrance differently! I loveeee the Chanel Chance EDT. It’s my fave ever! But everyone can have their opinion :)
Girl, I have seen some similar comments on others vids when people are giving unpopular opinions on fragrances and it’s so crazy how someone not liking a fragrance can sting someone so bad!! Anyway, great vid, I have hayati, to me it smells like the smoke from a raspberry hookah like exactly, native Davis it in one of her vids and I was like OMG it totally does!! Also, I would agree GG legre’ does smell a little irresponsible, guess that’s why my husband loves it so much!! Lmao!! Also, the chance eau tendre edp, to me is just like you said, but I feel I also smell a tinge of Chanel skincare in the very background, never smelled the other Chanel’s, other than No.5 that was my grandmothers signature scent! Great vid, love Kristen’s insta as well, such a calming page!! ❤️ Also been seeing a brand called Phlur everywhere lately, they just came out with a fragrance called not your baby that I am dying to smell, it has cardamom, mimosa, vanilla milk, OMG, anyway wondered if you have smelled any of their fragrances?
Love your channel! Just discovered it today. Picked up the Clean Skin and Sol de Janiero on your rec from your other video, and love both! Any chance you can share where you got your shirt?
Love these kinds of videos from you, I love love hearing your thoughts on a larger number of fragrances!! Would love love to hear your thoughts on the entire guerlain aqua allegoria line
Anne! Thank you for a great video. Made my mind kinda tick. I think the reason people think these are "unpopular opinions" is bc most youtube videos out there are on fragrances people love. You do not see many youtubers making videos on fragrances people hate or they hate. Sometimes, but not often. So in our mindset, we think EVERYONE loves these fragrances bc you repeatedly see them being spoken about, meanwhile there are 500x more people out there who probably hate that fragrance but don’t make videos/blogs/reviews about it. Does that make sense? LOL its making sense in my mind! Besides the fact that fragrance and literally everything in life is subjective, we are so conditioned to feel like we need to like something. Like something is wrong with us if we don't. I know early in my frag journey I felt that way! Oh everyone loves chanel chance, why don't I?! something must be wrong with me. Reviews like this help people to better understand, you do not have to like every frag you smell! Or every frag you are recommended. Thats the beauty, you choose what you like and don'’t like. Want some real talk on frags? Go to fragrantica lol, where people basically butcher most commonly liked fragrances you see on youtube. Also take that site with a grain of salt, it can be a bit brutal. Ok ending rant now!! I adore you, thank you again for your insight :)
I KNOW based on your opinion of orange blossom and lavender that you hate YSL Libre, and yet I’m still dying to hear you trash it. 😂 I’m literally searching your videos to see if you’ve talked about it yet!
I love the fragrance tea spills from you! None of the Acqua di Parma and Chance scents stand out to me, either. Too citrusy and sharp for my nose. Burberry Her smells sour and like a kids' apple shampoo to me. The Good Girl line screams try-hard and way too strong for me. Love the cool bottles, though! Very pretty and decor-worthy in my eyes.
I totally agree with you about Chanel line and I don’t like the Good girl and the flanker. I really enjoyed your honest review . I start to discover the perfume that you like because I have the same taste . You always look beautiful and simple but elegant !❤️❤️❤️
Can u recommend a 'more mature' version of Carolina Herrera Good Girl Legere? I really like this perfume and I am looking for more similar ones to try?
big agree on what you said about the chanel chance line. it reminds me of my mom's cousins i remember from my childhood, they have all moved abroad so i guess in a way the fragrance is nostalgic but i dont really enjoy the scent still.
Again, I love your honesty!! Not understanding the hate, lol. Can you review some more of the Maison Francis Kurkdjian line? I feel like everyone talks about the same 3 scents only. Baccarat, GFG, Oud SM. I’m curious about your thoughts. I’m loving Amyris Femme for spring.
I have Ariana Thank You Next and I really like a lot about it but there is a young aspect and something feels missing. Do you have anything you would recommend that might be nice to layer with it?
I am surprised you liked gon forever as much as you did! I actually expected it to be an immediate "no" given my knowledge of your preferences, so the appreciation you have for it is nice to hear. But that's just it- my favorite thing about fragrance is how not serious it is! In a world full of complexity and pain, perfume provides a wonderful escape. It's an experience that creates release and grounding from some of the hardships of life, and I feel for those who are hurt by another's opinion of fragrance. I just want to be over here smelling myself happily and minding my own business 🙃
Thanks for your reviews! Nothing to disagree with at all. I thought there was something wrong with me that there was not one single Chanel perfume that I've liked so far. Yes I've smelled the Chance line, Coco Mademoiselle, No.5, Etc. There are some houses that work better for me, maybe it has something to do with ingredients or their base fragrance DNA.
I enjoyed hearing your unfiltered opinions. If you like Idole Aura, you may like Mizensir Tres Chere, which is a lovely salted vanilla that’s appropriate for spring & summer. It has a lovely dewy orange blossom and in the base a smooth well blended sandalwood.
Anna will you try Aqua de Parma's Peony and Magnolia Nobile? I find that our taste and skin seems to be similar. I have the Magnolia Nobile and it really does nothing for me and smells like cheap toiletspray to me. I don't have the Peony but it usually works on my skin.
There is a note in Good girl that I absolutely cannot stand- I think it’s whatever is in Mugler too??? Any idea what note this could be so I can avoid it at all costs?? Love this video
For me personally I think it’s the sweet almond. It’s just weird. But also I’ve never smelled tonca beans and have no idea what they smell like, so it could still be something unknown like that. Weird thing is at first I loved it SO MUCH that I bought a full bottle right away and first few days I went up to it and sprayed it all the time and felt intoxicated. But now I just suddenly can’t stand it. Maybe when the weather changes I will like it again. For now I’m just left with shame and a full bottle 🪦
When you said this gives off younger vibes like 20’s the first thing I thought was but aren’t you in your twenties? 😂 if you’re not you go girl! You looking goooodt! ❤️
😂😂😂 lol yes I am! I'm 25 but I don't tend to gravitate towards younger, sweeter fragrances (there are some exceptions though!), but I know a lot of girls my age love some of these perfumes :)
I'd be interested to hear your opinion of Acqua Di Parma's Osmanthus & Yuzu. In terms of a pear scent, would like you to see if you like Pear Inc. by Juliette Has A Gun.
Try aqaua di parma sakura, lush cherry blossom. I feel like it's very unique and longevity is good on clothes. It's very expensive and I get headaches with it, but I wish I could wear it.
Chance Eau Tandre EDP opened beautifully then turned funky on my skin. Glad I did not buy. Chanel is not the house for me either so far. I have zero bottles in my collection. Most have way too many aldehydes or patchouli for me.
I feel the same way about Chanel, I know what you mean by a perfume that smells like a perfume. I had to laugh out loud when you described Chanel Chance as a mass of women smell.
I like your video and vibe overall but tbh I am confused, you don’t like floral, musky, citrus, patchouli, etc.. nor young or mature.. I am really curious what is your preference?
@@AnneLauren It's a niche British brand, and although most of their other frags are a little too heavy and oud-y for me, "Atlante" is very beachy and honestly unique.
I feel exactly the same thing about Chanel number five and allure, and the funny thing is that I used to wear all lower back in the day like 20 years ago 😂😂
I used to hate Chanel too, but somehow I now love no.5 - ?!?!?! #Mindblowing - agree with you on the Chance line and the Allure Sensuelle. People will always get upset - but as you say, fragrance is subjective and quite frankly - that’s the fun of it! Otherwise we would legit all smell the same! Keep it going ;)
If you like a pear with something more too it try teo cabanel tres french! When you said you didn't like blossom love, I almost dropped dead, lol!I can't believe people talk to you like that.crazy! But I did get along with blossom love ❤️ if your looking for a great spring summer scent, you have to get your nose on navitus siesta drive omg! I love it!if you like lemon but not in bad way, like candied sugar lemons with more to it though, this is everything and also I just got simone andreoli leisure in paradise and sunplosion!great ones!all very well blended!totally agree about good girl!
Thank you! I'll have to give Tres French a shot! Hahah I'm glad Blossom Love works well on you! ❤️ And I've tried Siesta Drive! Totally agree, very very good! Something in it ended up annoying me, citrus/vanilla combos tend to not always work out for me, but it is a great scent!
Hi Anne, if you can find it I would recommend trying Ginepro di Sardegna from Acqua di Parma, it's my favorite from this line. p.s. I appreciate your Rapid Reviews videos, informative, entertaining, and no BS. ;-) Lots of love K.
It happens the same to me with Acqua di Parma, I just wanted to have one of those stunning blue bottles and there are a lot of citrusy summery that could be appealing for very hot days, and they are nice actually, but unfortunately I couldn't find my thing (I prefer any from the Guerlain Acqua Allegoria line by far)... a shame because the bottles are another level!!!
i hate chanel no 5. (and l'eau) ..its iconic bc womens perfume used to be lavender, tobacco and (actual) musk heavy in the 1800s. and i hate it anyways. i think napoleons wife josephine was a trendsetter in that regard as well bc she wore violet soloflore or some kind of violet heavy perfume.
I love hearing these unfiltered opinions. I think you have a nose for quality and excellent blends. I'm getting that your opinions are too experienced for my very beginner fragrance taste. But I appreciate your keen sense if notes and what stands out AND respect that you can say a fragrance is great but not on you.
Hi Anne. Love your content. If you're looking for a beautiful salty vanilla....get your nose on Kenzo World Power. Let me know what you think/experience. I'm not a Kenzo fan....but love World Power :)
No Anna, not my pretty Allure edp hahaha! I actually love that one 😂. No judgment or hate, you’re still my favorite perfume reviewer. Perfume is very subjective and it could be the tiniest tweak that makes one person love something and another repulsed by it! 😂 Thank you for the “good, bad, and stinky” :)
I love moonlight and Chiang Mai! It’s just too sweet I can’t wear it. I also didn’t like Chanel chance a tandra EDT until I finished my full bottle because I wanted to get rid of it and then I ended up buying a full bottle again lol
I just about ran off the road when you said..."this is appropriate for elementary school age ppl.." and you weren't being nasty. I also love Idole Aura!! and I'm tough on salty vanillas.....
😂😂😂 well I know so many young girls that want to wear something that smells good, but there isn't much that's perceived as "age appropriate" for them, or their parents don't want them to wear much, so I could see it being perfect 😝
Why watch fragrance reviews if you’re going to get upset with someone’s opinion of something? Good grief… 🤦🏼♀️ I watch them for information and entertainment. Lol if you “hate” something I love, I don’t care. 😂 it doesn’t hurt my feelings. I just enjoy your reactions and what you have to say. 😁
I see the butt hurt community had their march over the way things smelled to you…hope everyone got home safe and got to keep their signs for the next one. I hate every Valentino perfume I’ve ever smelled but that’s not my choice…if it was I’d turn the smell of the bathrooms at Cheesecake Factory into something other than, “I got the fajitas musk.” Mandorlo is sooo all over the place. It smells like my childhood and Christmas to me thank god, but it seems like it’s a different perfume on everyone. Mojave Ghost is like that to. Sakura by Acqua is really good for a different freshy. It’s got a citrus lemon opening with watery, airy, refreshing cherry blossom and fresh fruits. It reminds me a little of L’Imperatrice but more complex. L’Imperatrice is the Coconut Fizz to my summer perfumes so I passed on Sakura but for a freshy, it is beautiful and unique!
@@AnneLauren omg👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💃🏽 if you love that then you’ll probably love Sakura too. Definitely worth a try because it doesn’t smell like clorox at all. I’m with you on hating most citruses, but this is fresh, off the tree, lemon. It’s like you put a wedge in a red fruit drink in Amalfi. A litttle woodyness in the deep dry down
Omg seriously I want to like the Chanel perfumes so bad, I want to smell what everyone else smells. But to me they all are very basic and don’t smell like anything in particular 😩
Love your channel and even though I do disagree about Chanel (which it took me years to appreciate), I can absolutely laugh about your descriptions. Wish RUclips existed when I was younger. Would have loved to revisit my journey. :)
I “LIKE “ you.I hit the Subscription button just to say that I like you; and I appreciate your honest opinion. Woww I thought I was the only one who felt/smelt that way about certain fragrances 💯
I agree with the Chanel range I don’t like any of them either!! So no arguments here!! Maybe my taste isn’t refined enough hahahahaha. Coz I dislike all of them. They all seem very perfumey and dated in my opinion. Like a upper class middle aged menopausal women type of age range.
Just sat in my towel after the longest bath of my life.. curled up in bed, drinking hot tea, and unwilling to wear proper clothes and watching your video. Ahhhh peace. The Friday night of the 30’s club’s dreams!!

Yes I've smelled the Chance line, Coco Mademoiselle, No.5, Etc. There are some houses that work better for me, maybe it has something to do with ingredients or their base fragrance DNA.
Absolutely!! Nothing wrong with you at all! We all have different tastes! 🥰
YAY...so I'm not the only one who doesn't like Chanel!!! I loathe all of them.
I don't know if you have tried it before but Rosa Nobile from Acqua di Parma is a beautiful fresh rose in my opinion 🤩
Yes, I like it too , beautiful parfum
I enjoyed hearing your unfiltered opinions. If you like Idole Aura, you may like Mizensir Tres Chere, which is a lovely salted vanilla that’s appropriate for spring & summer. It has a lovely dewy orange blossom and in the base a smooth well blended sandalwood.
I would love to see what you think of Tommy Bahama. Have you ever tried them?
I have a full bottle of Amouage Blossom love, which I blind bought, and I'm selling it. Something about it, doesn't vibe with my skin.
I found girl of now shine screechy on me. I think the lychee note in it doesn’t jive with nose and skin.
I have to try that Attar fragrance! Angels’ Share with cherry?!?! Omg yes please!
oh my gosh you'll LOVE it!!
Pear inc. is so good!! But it seriously becomes a skin scent SO fast and I can’t smell it at all on myself 😩
Honestly, as much as I love my modern scents, I am living for my vintage Guerlains... Sooo romantic!!! Definitely not youthful nor mass appealing...
Love that! 🤍
Juliet had a gun, vanilla vibes is a salty vanilla isnt it? Have you tried it?
Try aqaua di parma sakura, lush cherry blossom. I feel like it's very unique and longevity is good on clothes. It's very expensive and I get headaches with it, but I wish I could wear it.
What about Chanel coco?
Chance Eau Tandre EDP opened beautifully then turned funky on my skin. Glad I did not buy. Chanel is not the house for me either so far. I have zero bottles in my collection. Most have way too many aldehydes or patchouli for me.
very understandable! I've looked into several from their exclusive line as well, so far no luck, but I have a couple more on the to try list haha
Have you tried Fico di Amalfi? I would definitely recommend it ❤️
I just bougt Acqua di Parma "Fico di Amafli". I'm interesting of Your opinion Ana😉
Hello Ma'am please have you done review on good girl edt
Salty vanillas for you to try:
Bleu Turquoise Armani Privé
Vanilla Vibes Juliette has a gun
I feel the same way about Chanel, I know what you mean by a perfume that smells like a perfume. I had to laugh out loud when you described Chanel Chance as a mass of women smell.
I like your video and vibe overall but tbh I am confused, you don’t like floral, musky, citrus, patchouli, etc.. nor young or mature.. I am really curious what is your preference?
I’m obsessed with that soft pink eyeshadow - what is it?
I’m actually wearing zero eyeshadow! The only makeup on my lid is eyeliner 🥰
@@AnneLauren WOW. Massively jealous!
@@wendydunn3964 hehe I don’t put concealer or foundation on my lids either so I suppose it’s just a bit of natural pinkness coming through 😝
Please do a salty vanilla perfume list
if I ever find enough loves to form a list I will 😆
@@AnneLauren have you tried the Olympea line, supposedly salty vanillas?
What do you think about Burberry her blossom? I liked this one more than the regular
I haven't tried that one but I've honestly given up on that line 😅 I've tried 4!
People get really crazy defensive when people aren’t as into popular designer scents.
really though!
Those offendees haven't been through enough real problems. Or they have and are failing to assess it by hyper focusing on non-issues.
Ooh! For a salty vanilla frag recommendation, have you tried Sarah Baker's "Atlante"? It's great!
I haven’t!
@@AnneLauren It's a niche British brand, and although most of their other frags are a little too heavy and oud-y for me, "Atlante" is very beachy and honestly unique.
Salty vanille hmmm… Armani Prive Blue Turquoise !
CAN U GO OVER THE LOUIS VUTTON FRAGRANCE LINE??????????? YOUR UNFILTERED OPINION???
My fav salty vanilla is Juliette Has A Gun Vanilla Vibes 😋
Please try Ani by NIshane OMG if you love a good green earthy woodsy vanilla Sooooooo good
I feel exactly the same thing about Chanel number five and allure, and the funny thing is that I used to wear all lower back in the day like 20 years ago 😂😂
😝😝
I used to hate Chanel too, but somehow I now love no.5 - ?!?!?! #Mindblowing - agree with you on the Chance line and the Allure Sensuelle.
People will always get upset - but as you say, fragrance is subjective and quite frankly - that’s the fun of it! Otherwise we would legit all smell the same! Keep it going ;)
maybe one day my nose will change too 😝 and yes! I love that we all have different tastes and preferences, makes things more fun :)
Me too….hated Chanel No. 5, now I don’t mind it on occasion 🤷🏻♀️
Thank you!! I’ll have to check it out :)
I really love your good girl explanation
She really is trying to do the most 😅
i hate chanel no 5.
Ahhh I’m sorry! 😆❤️ and it really is!
Stronger with you intensely is amazing! I have a large bottle of it. ❤️
I love how I show up on yours Kristin fragrance a screenshot 😂 i’m dying to try that one too
Hahah I saw that too and I was like, “I wonder if Charly will notice” 😜
I love moonlight and Chiang Mai! It’s just too sweet I can’t wear it. I also didn’t like Chanel chance a tandra EDT until I finished my full bottle because I wanted to get rid of it and then I ended up buying a full bottle again lol
Lol 😅
I just about ran off the road when you said..."this is appropriate for elementary school age ppl.." and you weren't being nasty. I also love Idole Aura!! and I'm tough on salty vanillas.....
😂😂😂 well I know so many young girls that want to wear something that smells good, but there isn't much that's perceived as "age appropriate" for them, or their parents don't want them to wear much, so I could see it being perfect 😝
So this is fragrances you don’t like I guess I misunderstood the title? Lol will check out more though appreciate it😊
Why watch fragrance reviews if you’re going to get upset with someone’s opinion of something? Good grief… 🤦🏼♀️ I watch them for information and entertainment. Lol if you “hate” something I love, I don’t care. 😂 it doesn’t hurt my feelings. I just enjoy your reactions and what you have to say. 😁
Right?! lol it’s even titled “my unfiltered opinions” you know what you’re clicking on 😂 and thank you! I appreciate you!
😂😂😂 lucky me I suppose. I actually just received a sample of L'Imperatrice and from the test strip, I LOVE it so far!
A mass of women you say.... I like the sound of that. 😁 As for Remarkable People...yeah, Haribo's Happy Cola candies. Check it out.
I'm deadd 😂😂
To me “perfumy” smells like patchouli😂
I get that! 😅 Patchouli is definitely usually something those types of perfumes have in common
Crazy! I actually think good girl smells too mature, too powdery, reminds me of an old lady
Have you tried Coco edp?
I haven’t!
@@AnneLauren Sniff it and see if it gives you the same vibes as all other Chanel frags…. I think you will find it pleasant 🤞🏻
Interesting, Blossom Love smells girly to me 😃.
