I’m so happy you’re constantly promoting that people should be taking a shower/bath. I didn’t think at this point, in this era, we’d have to encourage people to do this but, alas we’re here!!! I’m anosmic to Missing Person too…only on myself! My friend wears it and it smells AMAZING. The new Father Figure is great, verrrry similar to Glossier You imo.

For Missing Person, I thought the same thing. But then I ran across an unwashed shirt I had sprayed it on and I've been in love since! It's GORGEOUS and can be worn easily at any time. It's so easy to wear, it gets way more use than my 10 out 10's. It's a staple for me now.

Missing Person is one of my favorites of my over 300 bottle collection and I get tons of compliments
I adore Missing Person but I tend to love those types of musky, your skin but better scent profiles. I get that bitter neroli along with some fuzziness and it’s the sort of cozy that reminds me of my childhood 💗

Valaya smells extremely woody on me, which I enjoy but the sillage is remarkable! I only wear a couple sprays but people will comment on my perfume from quite a distance. I’ve never gotten this many comments with any of my other perfumes. It’s definitely got a presence about it without being overly obnoxious.

I love Missing Person. I do think they had a defective(?) batch of bottles tho. I say this because one time my friend and I were at Sephora and I wanted her to smell Missing Person. Sprayed it literally on everything but I couldn’t smell anything. I went ahead and contacted Phlur about the tester bottle.
Me dropping everything and running to Anne’s new upload 🏃🏽♀️😭 I couldn’t get with the new cloud pink or musc noir rose either and ended up decluttering it after wearing it a few times 😩

Finally, someone that doesn’t understand the Hundred Silent Ways hype. I tested it in Neimans and I was unimpressed. I feel the same about Narcisco Rodriguez. The musk in his perfumes give me a big headache. I don’t get it!

HSW didn't work for me the first time I sampled it and I thought it was BO vibes, but I found it deeply discounted and bought a bottle (over a year after the first sampling) and I now love it. She grew on me and I can smell the beauty/luxury now. I get loads of compliments when I wear it as well, so that doesnt hurt.

Thank you! I totally agree about Cloud Pink - there’s something too tart and almost stinky to my nose. It performs alright on my skin but it’s just like a less good version of Cloud 2.0 or the OG.
When I smelled Missing Person in Sephora, I also could smell nothing. Once I got a sample and smelled it at home and on my skin, I can clearly smell it. It’s actually a pretty great performer and lasts all day long on me. I have a full bottle now!
I also love wearing Bubble Bath at night before bed . Definitely clean and soapy, but there is almost something warm, creamy, and musky about it. Like hot skin straight from a warm bath. It’s so comforting to me. (I clearly like skin scents lol)

I had the EXACT same reaction to HSW when I first bought it! I nearly decluttered it! But over time, the tuberose and sandalwood really started to shine. And the likeness to Black Opium started to dissipate. It was a slow burn! But I fell completely in love a few months after I bought it.

The Pink Cloud smells IDENTICAL to the original to me and it faded sooo fast on the tester strip! I can barely smell Missing person, either!

I don't understand why people love Hundred Silent Ways. I love Nishane Ani and I absolutely adore Tero (nobody talks about!).. those 2 are very special and worthwhile.

I don’t understand the hype about silent ways either, bought and sold it really fast. It’s just an overpriced basic Macys, Sephora designer style fragrance with a tuberose note they could’ve kept out of the mix and the headache inducing dose of white florals.
I feel like it’s a very safe gateway frag into the world of niche! I personally like HSW because it’s basically the smoother sister to Black Opium LOL. And because of that, i know it’s more well-received than a fragrance with a complex or deep profile.
We need to remember that MANY people aren’t accustomed to notes of amber, oud, spices, tobacco, greens, and even some woody notes.
I love hundred silent ways 🙈loved ani and one day it smelled like cigarette😢, cannot continues to wear it for next few months;(
I couldn’t smell Missing Person either, but I got compliments from several people when I wore it. They said it smelled clean.

I love your videos. I think I ONLY disagree on Narciso Rodrigues (I am also one of the people who asked you about this brand lol) , I just absolutely love NR. Each any every perfume from them (except poudree) works so well on me and my husband and daughter compliments me everytime I wear anything from NR.

The fragrance of Missing Person was missing for me also! Must be like the cilantro situation, where some taste cilantro but others taste soap.
I am so with you on Hundred Silent Ways! I sampled it and my son said it smelled like something from Abercrombie. No shade to them, but for that price point it needs to offer far more.
Can’t agree more on missing person! Every time I go try it out in Sephora, I have trouble smelling it by the time I leave, body sprays probably last longer! Love bubble bath a lot personally, it’s a pity it’s not working for you

I love these videos where you give you give honest opinions on all these hyped up perfumes. Social media is flooded with influencers who harp on about the same scents over and over, like parrots. I was nodding along with most of your thoughts on these, particularly Nishane's HSW. Absolutely agree that it's "nice" but if you're going to venture into niche, at least buy something unique and worth the money! Thank you for keeping it real and helping to curb the craze on some of these!

Also, off-topic: I initially hated EBK’s DNDY because that hazelnut note was SO strong to me, but after i let it sit and re-tested it again after 2 months, I have now come to slowly fall in love with it… And can now see why you said it smells like blueberry muffins. And it’s mass-appealing too! Huge win!

Love Narciso Rodriguez For Her EDT is a very special unique fragrance! It’s warm, comforting and feminine. I love love it! Totally agree with you on Nishane Hundred Silent Ways. It smelled VERY synthetic to me! Did not like it. However I don’t feel the same about Mancera Instant Crush, love this one!

Btw, I don't necessarily think you need to go ultra unique when it comes to spending money on niche, but I do recommend getting something more special than a profile at the designer level 😁
I loved this video and can not agree with you more! Maybe I’m just getting bored or have too high expectations, but I’ve felt flat about most new releases lately. Could you share your most complimented fragrances video, you’ve probably done this topic before but it would be great to see a current version.

What you said about NR is exactly how I feel about Kayali, a brand that all reviewers seem to love, for whatever reason. They could bottle urine, and everyone would rave about it.

So interesting….I can smell Missing Person on me the next morning, and I find it so comforting. Everything else in the Phlur line 1) I hardly smell and/or 2) lasts for 2 minutes.🤷♀️

Marc Jacobs Perfect also has banana sent which reminds me of sunblock. The bottle is interesting the little charms on the cap are the smell it tries to interpret.

The only perfume I've enjoyed from the brand is the Musc Noir, probably because I really like sweet plum scent. It reminds me of Givenchy Amarriage (?) back in the day, but more fresh and modern.

I got the 100 silent ways and honestly reminded me of something I would get from Victoria secret. Also the first spray was strong but the dry down isn’t

the cloud pink is awful smelling was also a blind for me. on my skin it was really strong it was not pleasant to me. i am glad i didnt blind buy ingenious ginger i hate ginger but was told it smelled sweet. Valaya was instantly piercing aldehydes and ambroxan it was so upsetting the rest of the night everything smelled like valaya i have dry skin so everything going quicker to the dry down

I'm on the fence about Accident A.L.V. Cream dal la berry. I like it because it makes me feel like a kid but the dry down when the berries die off & it smells like soggy cereal is kind of weird. Gotta test more.

That’s funny about the missing person perfume that you say you smell nothing. My husband said the same thing. But to me when I first sprayed it, it reminded me of my grandmother-sitting with her at church growing up and putting my head on her arm.

It’s so funny you feel NR is just mid… OMG I thought I was the only freak. I feel the same. Truth- I have tried to “train” myself to like their scents , even purchased a few over the years, and ultimately sold them off bc…no. Musc noir rose is the only one I own right now, and even though I very rarely, read- never, reach for it, every time I smell it, I decide I don’t want to part with it. It’s really bizarre.
When it comes to musk, it really has to work well with your chemistry or else it's not gonna work. I'm lucky that the Narciso Rodriguez musk blooms on my skin because they smell just okay on paper strips.
Ahh!! So funny, I’m sampling Vicebomb for the first time as we speak and I’m pretty underwhelmed. The beginning smells too medicinal and the dry down is too similar to the Intense Cafe/Gentle Fluidity Gold/Roses Vanille dna. Not special, but not bad.

I just have to say, I went to Ulta to try Ariana Grande Cloud Pink and I smelled it, smelled good, and sprayed it on myself thinking I would shop and pick it up at the end. After five minutes, it’s smelled HORRID. It smelled freaking rotten. I swear, I asked my husband to smell my wrist and he GAGGED. He freaking gagged, honestly, I did too. I smelled the tester paper that I was still holding and the perfume smelled totally and COMPLETELY different. I have never had a perfume change up on me that much. It absolutely could have been my body chemistry, but I would 100% say try it before buying because the scent changed so so so much on dry down.
oh nooo 😵💫 It's the worst when the opening gets you, you spray it all over for a full wear test, and then you're stuck with something you're itching to take off 😩

Jousset Accident a la Vanille Creme de la Berry smells exactly like vape juice. I don’t smell it around me as much anymore, but a few years ago the Fruity Pebbles/cereal/breakfast vape juices were really popular and I smelled that scent everywhere, especially in nightclubs. As soon as I smelled the Jousset sample, I said “Vape juice.” Has that same scratchy nicotine quality to it and the exact same cereal scent. I can’t believe more people don’t know this.

In my opinion, it's a very linear vanilla and I'm underwhelmed by it. Smells good, like caramelized sugar, but I didn't get a wow factor from it, I much prefer Bianco Latte in this category!
