You are so right, blind buy is not a good ideea.for example, so many people love Bianco Latte and i really dislike it because i found it to foody.thank god i only bought a 10 ml decant, i gave it to my sister 🤷🏼♀️
I really didn’t like it either !!! I get 1-2 ml samples usually. I sampled Jovoy fire at will the same order and I fell in love with that , vanilla brown sugar , i love sampling somewhat similar things together

Yes to sampling! The more I smell the more I realize my nose is not mainstream. It’s been a journey!
I only sniffed it very briefly but Grand Soir gave me some real old dude vibes. Not hot old dude. Just old, old dude. Grandpa, is that you? Lol. Maybe it gets better in the dry down, I certainly hear a lot of people saying great things about it.

Vert malachite is way better! Rouge has something sharp in the dry down. Memo Marfa is smoother

Same. It did nothing for me. Blu Indaco by the same house is waaaaay better and barely gets attention.
I was surprised there was so much hype with Bianco Latte, I don't hate it, but it's just a sweet vanilla. The perfume that I really hated, and I don't get why people like it so much is Delina! It's good that we are all different and like different things. I love Rosendo Mateu N.5 and many people dislike it.

I feel the same way about Rouge Malachite. I was not a fan of tuberose until I met Rouge Malachite. Made me explore the other tuberose fragrances….but this is still my favorite tuberose. Definitely worth the hype. 🥰🥰🥰

Very true! I hate spending money on samples but I'm not blind buying anything over $50. I almost did with Bianco latte but I read some reviews from ppl who picked up on a waxy, plastic note and sampled first instead. I love vanilla and sweet gourmand but it smells like vanilla air freshener to me. Really synthetic and not for me.
I preferred By Rosie Jane Dulce. Sephora has it.

I wish I got what you got from GOF .. i absolutely hated it .. Bianco latte was an instant love at first sniff .. one thing I have learned on this journey we all definitely have different sniffers
I thought the God of Fire was my ultimate mango perfume until I tried Carioca Heart from Jusbox. It’s AMAZING! I was left speechless and I bought a full bottle instantly.

Does it smell different from god of fire? I own Carioca heart and god of fire is on my wishlist for my birthday in March
I haven’t tried Carioca Heart, but God of Fire smells very synthetic to me, a very dusty mango.

I agree, I have been wearing it a lot lately and I think it’s an all season perfume. Maybe except for the very hot days in the summer or very cold in the winter.

I blind bought Rosendo Mateu No 5 a while ago since I found it at a very good discounted price full bottle. When I first tested it I was so disappointed with myself. I literally could just smell burnt rubber and nothing else. I will never blind buy anything else ever again because of that experience. However the perfume is starting to grow on me and I'm starting to like it a little more every time I smell it. End even though the smell itself isn't that bad to my nose anymore it is still something I don't gravitate towards

I did get a couple of decants of Bianco Latte. (I had ordered the first, and then when TPG Scent Club #9 came out, Bianco Latte was one of the fragrances. Win-win!)
Grand Soir was one of the first samples I ordered back in November. Not a fan of lavender...but found that Guess Seductive Noir is almost the same DNA with sage instead of lavender.
I blind-bought Nebras with my first fragrance order in November...totally love!!!
I've heard great things about Seductive Noir!

POB, on me it smells like a vanilla tamarindo Mexican candy, lots of compliments when I wear it around town (San Diego) it’s one of my absolute favorites, can still smell it on myself the next day if I don’t shower, making it one of my longest lasting scents.

I am a mom of a toddler and currently pregnant and I have gone out to all the major retailers and scent bar in LA to smell your favorites but unfortunately they are a bit too complex and heavy for me for everyday life at home. Basically I can't wear nice clothes at home due to sticky fingers so I figured if I smelled nice then I would feel more put together. I know you like more complex scents but was wondering if you had any thoughts on light everyday fragrances? I did purchase Bal'dafrique based on your recommendation in a video and I do like that one a lot but still enjoy that one for the rare occasions when I leave the house 😅❤ also I am in my 30s if that helps 😂 love your channel!

I love jazz club and I don't think it leans masculine. By the fireplace is beastmode on me and maybe a bit more masculine leaning but I love it.
I have Rosendo Mateu No 5… I smell the rubbery in the saffron. I haven’t sold it yet, I keep trying to see if it will change.
Hibiscus Mahajad is Fenella Fielding in that awesome red velvet dress in 'Carry on Screaming' BTW- just used Ruby N Vanilla Intense and Gently Fluidity Gold on the same arm and BLISS! x

Rosendo Mateu No. 5 was a no for me, BUT your other recommendation of Nishane Nefs actually gave me a similar vibe, but in a way that I loved! Like what I wanted No. 5 to be.
Also, it's funny how many on this list I have or tried because of your videos. 😂 Taking my sample of God of Fire on a beach vacation next month! And I absolutely LOVE Poets of Berlin.

Anne great picks! I own most of the scents from your list other than Layton and grand soir which I no longer own. Grand soir is beautiful but was too masculine for me. Even though I do enjoy masculine leaning scents like OFG etc. Diotyque benjoin boheme is a beautiful benzoin scent completely unisex that I have been enjoying instead

Hi Anne, when I first sampled Rosendo Mateu 5 I very much disliked it. But there was something about that scent, something addictive, I kept coming back to it. Now it is one of my favorite perfumes, I’m obsessed with it 💛

Do Poets of Berlin and Byredo Gypsy Water have a similar vibe? The lemon, vanilla and sandalwood combo make me wonder if they’re a similar scent profile. I have G Water, curious and haven’t tried Poets!
They're super different actually! Poets has a prominent fruitiness and that bamboo brings in a very unique green kick

I loooooove grand soir on my sister and in the bottle but on my skin, it comes off a bit smoky. I was heartbroken because I love it so much but it just didn’t work for me. 100% agree with trying fragrances in person, I’ve tried a few I was so sure I would like but didn’t work with my skin chemistry.
