  • In response to China's recent renaming of locations in India's Arunachal Pradesh, the Indian government has launched a corresponding effort to rename approximately 30 places within China's Tibet Autonomous Region, as reported by The Diplomat.
The newly-elected NDA government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has given the green light to the renaming of these locations in Tibet, signalling a firm rebuttal to China's naming initiatives. The chosen names have been thoroughly researched and are rooted in historical significance and ties to the Tibetan region. They will be officially published by the Indian Army and incorporated into updated maps along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

Until we end all imports from China, China's posture at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh will never change. Our trade deficit of around $85 billion per year gives it a huge psychological advantage in dealing with our government. To understand this, just know that, if we keep the $85 billion per year instead of sending it to China, we can increase our current defense budget by 100%, and at the same time, worsen joblessness and economic distress in China.
In the next five years, our imports from China must drop to zero. Naysayers and ill-wishers would say in years past that this, that, or some other thing, was not attainable. Simply impossible, they would say. It can be done. Ending imports from China within five years would guarantee the return of NDA ( BJP + coalition partners) to power at the Center for the next 100 years or more. Start looking for ways to cut imports from our northern neighbor as soon as the new NDA government is sworn in.

    Tibetan activist. Bravo 👍
Finally some one is talking sense.
During all the exercise of negotiation of conflicts with China since last few years, i thought was a waste. One should have been talking bottom line.
And, the stupid saying that every one says, you cannot choose your neighbours is this situation.
China occupied to become direct neighbour of India.
India, should now recognize Taiwan & Tibet, cancel the recognition of Tíbet by stupid Atal Bihari Vajpayee
Legitimize Dalai Lama as the government of Tíbet, start negotiations with Beijing on behalf or with Dalai Lama to free Tíbet and push PLA beyond Tíbetan borders.
Secondly as history stands, China belongs to Taiwan, and not the other way around. This also needs to be reverse.

China has been grabbing LAC every year inch by inch . Indian government then use to be on knees begging not to do so. China would every time say...ok ok. China would encroach 10 kms but on request of government of India withdraw from 5 kms and would occupy another 5 kms. This strategy continued after onslaught of Chinese occupation of entire Aksaichin.
Why conflict in 2022? Because this was for the first time that Modi government instead of coming on knees and begging confronted and gave a befitting reply, China had to face embarrassment, which was not expected. The reinforcement of troops and infrastructure development at LAC were something China never expected. Because Indian government earlier would never ever develop road , airports and other infrastructures onML and LAC due to fear of annoyance of China. Our troops remained in Tinsheds all along the MML and LAC till 2014. Now, there is sea change in the border infrastructure on Indian side. India is building villages. Who stops us from building villages on our side. You cant Stop them. What u can do is, we develop our own villages.

Andrew's comments seem misleading and morally wrong. He inaccurately claims that the XIV Dalai Lama failed. In reality, China attempted to assassinate the Dalai Lama in 1959 to occupy Tibet. Instead, the XIV Dalai Lama wisely preserved Tibet's non-violent culture by seeking refuge in India, a nation that embraces the principle of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.' The Dalai Lama not only blessed Tibet but also helped revive ancient Indian wisdom. His contributions have made him a champion of peace. In contrast, the Chinese Communist Party, adhering to outdated 19th-century dictatorial concepts, remains unsuccessful and risks collapse within a decade if it does not address human rights issues in China and in regions such as Tibet, Xinjiang, Hong Kong, and Inner Mongolia.

Xizang is an inalienable part of China's territory. Since the Yuan Dynasty, the central government has always exercised effective jurisdiction over Xizang. The Tibetan people are an important member of the Chinese national family. Xizang was called "Tubo" in the Tang and Song Dynasties, "Uszang" in the Yuan and Ming Dynasties, and "Tanggute" and "Tubot" in the Qing Dynasty. It has been called "Xizang" since the reign of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty. On May 23, 1951, Xizang was peacefully liberated. On September 9, 1965, the Xizang Autonomous Region was officially established. On December 23, 2019, absolute poverty was basically eliminated in Xizang, and the whole region was lifted out of poverty.
