- In response to China's recent renaming of locations in India's Arunachal Pradesh, the Indian government has launched a corresponding effort to rename approximately 30 places within China's Tibet Autonomous Region, as reported by The Diplomat.
The newly-elected NDA government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has given the green light to the renaming of these locations in Tibet, signalling a firm rebuttal to China's naming initiatives. The chosen names have been thoroughly researched and are rooted in historical significance and ties to the Tibetan region. They will be officially published by the Indian Army and incorporated into updated maps along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

Dont blame Modi, India is heavily focussing on improving its economy, defence etc so that it can challenge China at a much higher level. Modi tried hard to contain the conflict, because Chinas interest would be to engage India in a war and disript Indias development. I believe that while India should take these noCost measures against China, it should focus on its own development.

There is a wrong statement made by ( Author). H. H never said Tibet is part of China. Rather we took middle way approach. Also under the various pressure. We changed name of tibetan government in exile to center tibetan administration. It’s all due to less supporters we are getting around. Especially Indian government. Very thankful and grateful to tibetan cause. But as of now we haven’t receive direct and strong technical support.

Yes they did. The underlying understanding was this would bring mutual peace. Unfortunately, these policies have only emboldened them. Does not mean we cannot change our policy. Not does it mean, we as people cannot boycott them.

Usually when a territory is accepted as an integral part of another country, then to rename places within that boundary will amount to interference of internal affairs. It will have huge implications.
That is one way to look at it. It was our policy made in a declaration. Does not mean it cannot be changed. History is littered with changes in policy and outlook. There are no permanent friends or enemies. Only permanent interests.
