What great attention to detail does for the completed article! Super job again guys, patio and steps look really good. So pleased your customer showed his appreciation like that, must make a nice bonus for you and the team. I was going to say 'boys' but that does them an injustice - aren't they both doing well? Must make you a proud Dad Justin! As for the weather - well, that's what makes our 'Green and Pleasant Land' I guess! Thanks for the video Justin, keep safe all of you!

@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping He said " Very good work", believe me as an former Irish builder now living in Germany, that's a big compliment from a German...btw that's 2 good lads you've got there Justin
@MrThebigredone
Very kind of Hugo he comments on here good to have people from other countries on here .thanks for translating and appreciate your comments 👍💯👊👌
Its nice job❤
Thanks👍
Great video. Beautiful job. Can I please ask what fall ratio you use on the porcelain? How do you measure your falls?
@GarethSamuel
Thanks Gareth to make it simple to understand the bubble on the spirit level must by on the line hence out of level that's your fall 👍
Thank you 👍
Great tip on marking out the patio first. But how do you mark it out? Do you use an off cut of timber?
@@BeverG8818 tape measure 👍
Hi Justin,i think setting the eco drain square to paving would look better.Good job tho.Where dose the water go that goes in to gully that eco drains go into please
Each to there own thats ok cheers 👍👌
Hi Guys I was looking at a porcelene slab and it had a surface like fine grade sandpaper and I thought it would be easy to get dirty and constant cleaning. What do you think? Cheers. Liam.
@estatesr1
One of the best products on the market to keep clean liam 👌
Very nice job Justin looks really good . I see you using the o brien cement have you came across any lumps of hardened cement in the bags .
You always find a bit this time of year but in general they have been good 👍
I’m finding some fairly big lumps in the o brien cement winter or summer . The lad I get it off recently changed to cemcor cement because o briens raised the price ,it’s packaged the same as o briens and the same shite with it lumps through the bag . .
@brickbybric
Even get the lumps with mastercrete .what i do is check the bags on delivery or collection 👍
the beeping is annoying but you guys did a great job non the less. well done
@danhawkins2906
😂😂 it was .
Cheers Dan appreciate it 👍
The patio looks amazing, Great videos and explanations, really helpful for a diyer like me attempting my porcelain patio this year
Glad the videos help and good luck with your patio 👍💯
What size of gap is between tiles or shouldbe ? 7mm tiles spacers is ok, that's what recommended me in DIY shop.
What grouts do you use ? The pressure washer is not gonna wash out grouts after a short time ?
Big thumb on for ACO drainage connection. It's a good idea . I just done it old school way plenty cement and make concrete made that shape what I needed plus pipe from roof & couldn't find any adaptor pipe for this .
5 mm joint .marshalls exterior jointing grout was used on this one .
Appreciate your comments and good luck with yours 👍👊
That is a really nice job you done for the customer, well done. That tiles used for the stair, were they just the 20mm tiles that was used for the patio. If so what was the overhang left at the front of each step and are you not concerned about the corners braking off on the very first step or are the tiles more durable that what i imagine?.. keep up the good work and the videos coming, the more i watch the more tips i seems to pick up.
Thanks Derek i appreciate it .Same tiles on the tread of the steps .Brazilian slate on the risers .20mm overhang .Tiles wont crack porcelain is very very tough 👍👌
The ground will thank you
Great job again guys. I’m laying a sandstone patio at home soon, currently there is a solid thick concrete base over the whole area, would you slurry first then lay the bedding mortar or do you think that’s extreme to slurry on top of the concrete? Cheers guys
Hi Jack
Id personally would slurry the concrete or sbr it .Good luck 👍
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping thank you for the advice I’ll do that first. Cheers again
Do you flow point over the drain channel to fill the voids between the drain and tile?
Take the channels up a d fill the void by hand
We're local and only just stumbled across your videos - they're great! Curious to know, do you need much of a fall with the patio if you want the rain to to flow properly to the aco/french drains and not pool? thanks
Thanks .
Usually if you lay the paving so on the spirit level the bubble is in the line thats normally enough so the water can drain away 👍
Really please you are See you are putting the up stands on top of Trent's on step work which his the correct way that what like to see 👍
Where does the gulley connect to
Watch the video previous to this one and all will be explained Trevor 👍👌
You could off put porcelain up stands against the stone wall it would hidden all the cut 👌👍
Customer didn't want it Tom but 👍🙌
Do u let the sulery dry first
@@DeanoGuidera-vy1tf no don't let it dry
But let’s not forget the met office is convinced it can predict the weather in 50 years
Cant predict it in 5 days never mind 50 years 🤣🤣👍
Soon be summer 😁
I no cant wait to be honest 🤣😎👍
What size spacer do you recommend for porcelain please?
5mm is my preferred choice but 3mm is also nice 👌 that it really
Thank you. Lovely job
Do you come as far as Brecon?
Just a bit far sorry lew 👍
Lovely job, great crac. Just a couple questions how soon do you need to use the slurry once it’s been mixed up? And how soon after grouting do you pressure washer the tiles down?
Thanks Dan.
Same answer for both questions. It all depends on the weather. In hotter weather both products set quicker .
So you cant put an exact time on when to preasure wash its weather dependent Dan 👍
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping appreciate that, getting in all the knowledge I can to tackle my own patio
Why don't you tap on top aqua drain say you clean them out 👍
Only takes minutes to clean em i like to make sure they are clean before we leave site 👍
I thought 100 ml of MOT was the recommended amount ?
@abbziexx123
Yes that's the minimum requirement 👍
The A team
Love it when a plan comes together 👍👌
Where’s the hardcore base?
Is in the video this time was about laying slabs 👍
I wish he'd "bleep" off.😅👍
🤣 was annoying
He bleepin was 😅@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping
Quite honestly the worst method of laying a patio I've ever seen in my career! In 30 years of laying slabs, I've never had to pressure wash a patio whilst I'm laying it
If that's your honest opinion I'm totally fine with that would be interesting to see how you lay modern patios 👍
So if your laying on concrete you have to slurry both sides of the mortar? Another unexpected cost 😂 paying double for my slurry now
🤣🤣 yea i would or at least sbr the concrete 👍
Great job 👏
Ty very much 👍
