      Very much agree.
1.35M usd for a basic day boat with seeming questionable quality (see the roof panels being off and not attached smoothly in cabin…)
However, I appreciate the nice tour by Nick. Always so polite and looking for the positives each boat can offer, rather than criticising. Great way to live life!

There is a really interesting trend with hugely overpriced 35-45 feet day boats, and this is definitely up there. This is almost twice the price of a Fjord 44, or you could get literally 5 Salpa 35 that have more space inside, a separate shower (which this does not!) and actually look better and start a serious chartering business. Yes, it’s aluminium, but still is it worth 2 Fjord’s? I would love to have a chat with the first few buyers to understand their motivation as I am missing something here.

At this pricetag I would expect the paintwork to be spot on, however, even on camera it shows that in the corners it’s not applied straight. See the moment where Nick talks about the dash and look at the black and grey joints. Then the ceiling panels with the gaps, the toilet seat that’s not fitted properly, the wobbly effect in the black aluminum tables, insulation on engine hatch is not cut properly.

Tsk, tsk Blizzy... If you have nothing positive to say, don't say anything at al. Freedom of speech in 2023 is on its way out. There must be a place on that boat where you can 'tuck yourself away with a good book' and... everything is very 'getattable'. And I'm relieved there was no serving tray on that boat that Nick mistook as a grill cover...

  • @LekkerBoatProblems
    @LekkerBoatProblems 7 месяцев назад +1

We've had nothing but problems with our Lekker boat.
The regular occurrence of breakdowns prevents normal use of the boat and the numerous defects compromise the overall safety of the boat. Our boat was delivered with a faulty engine connection, wrong fuses and no working WiFi to update the boat's software. These should have been caught during the quality assurance process and testing.
We currently deal with electrical issues nearly every time we use the boat. We've had anchor and navigation lights shorting. We've had the bow thruster shorting the last 3 times we've used the boat which requires a mechanic to fix it and it's still an issue.
We've lost all confidence in this boat and it's been a huge stress for our family.

  • @brianunderwood3109

My guess is that it's a loud running boat. Because of the aluminum hull and minute amount of insulation. Fit and finish seemed a bit cheap for a $1.4M boat. Unless of course it's boat number one, in which case understandable. 44ft and not separate shower? Even the 32ft Regal has a separate shower, just saying. Overall score, 4 out of 10. Much more complete boats at a considerable discount to this one. IMO of course. Thank you Nick. Great information as usual!

Not impressed with this one frankly. As others have said, there are other more comprehensive boats on the market at that price (Bluegame , fjord etc?). BTW, visited your marina today and saw your boat - incredible condition and gel coat. Sorry you weren’t there especially as it was such a great day on the water ( me, a Botnia Targa owner with the D440 VP). Hope to catch up sometime. Keep the videos coming - so interesting and useful - and fun!

For the naysayers, I’m assigning the client market willing and ABLE to pay almost $1.5 million for this type of boat are probably in the income bracket that the amount of money paid is simply “funny money” and not what the average person with a few million in their bank account would drop or sell a second home to purchase this style of boat. Put it into perspective.

"Lekker" means yummy in Dutch. But "lek" means leak. Weird name for a boat business. Nice idea but seems somewhat overpriced, and I can also see some issue with fit and finish in your video; for example the telescoping tables have bumps in the surface, ceiling in the cabin seems uneven (actually just looks like sheets of drywall), and fake teak around the engine hatch cover seems to be coming up. For $1.35M I wouldn't expect that. Still an awesome video as always!

The price of this boat is insane!

Pretty boat with some nice features, but a bit too pricy when you think how much more you get for not much more money with the Galeon 640 or 650. It says a lot when you can show it all so quickly, but would only be in the helm or galley on some other yachts in that time. Would be nice for a weekend boat if you have a lot of disposable income. Thanks as always Nick for the tour. 😊

I was thinking the same thing. You can get a boat with outboards that are very similar to this for a LOT less. I think the Penta's are a bit overkill. I get that it does 40kts but sheesh that price is steep.

Very cool and basic 'Lekker ' translates as 'very nice ' :-)
Actually so much space , main is an easy 2 , other 2+1 , and then upstairs . More than just a good weekender .
