Seven and a half minutes to tour a $1.35m boat. I think that says it all!
Inflation. I think that says it all!
A lot of profit methinks!
Yeah...
Honestly the finish quality looked poor - there we're multiple small things i noticed in this where i was like, 1.35m? I'd expect better.
Definitely not the boat with the most value.
44 is too small . 55 to 60 feet is adequate.
Very much agree.
1.35M usd for a basic day boat with seeming questionable quality (see the roof panels being off and not attached smoothly in cabin…)
However, I appreciate the nice tour by Nick. Always so polite and looking for the positives each boat can offer, rather than criticising. Great way to live life!
At that price, the next one will be called Last. Check out Nick's Galeon 510 tour for much the same price, amazing value by comparison
There is a really interesting trend with hugely overpriced 35-45 feet day boats, and this is definitely up there. This is almost twice the price of a Fjord 44, or you could get literally 5 Salpa 35 that have more space inside, a separate shower (which this does not!) and actually look better and start a serious chartering business. Yes, it’s aluminium, but still is it worth 2 Fjord’s? I would love to have a chat with the first few buyers to understand their motivation as I am missing something here.
With so many things today, people seem to be willing to pay whatever the industry says they have to. It's just wrong.
Not impressed with the boat (the presentation is good as always Nick). Look at the bad fit and finish of the ceiling @ 4:31m. Way too expensive for what you get in my opinion.
Better options for 1.3 million
This seems like horrible value for the money. Great video!
Agreed, total waste of money
At this pricetag I would expect the paintwork to be spot on, however, even on camera it shows that in the corners it’s not applied straight. See the moment where Nick talks about the dash and look at the black and grey joints. Then the ceiling panels with the gaps, the toilet seat that’s not fitted properly, the wobbly effect in the black aluminum tables, insulation on engine hatch is not cut properly.
Tsk, tsk Blizzy... If you have nothing positive to say, don't say anything at al. Freedom of speech in 2023 is on its way out. There must be a place on that boat where you can 'tuck yourself away with a good book' and... everything is very 'getattable'. And I'm relieved there was no serving tray on that boat that Nick mistook as a grill cover...
1.3mil 😂😂 wouldn't want to spend 1p over 100k
You can get a lot more for that money with a different company
Day boat at best
The market for a £1m+ day boat must be pretty tiny! Lekker do some interesting designs.
They are popular as day charter boat in places like the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, and as yacht tenders. So the market is bigger than you would expect
you sure about that?
In norwegian "Lekker" can mean two things: 1) Nice/delicious and 2) Leaking fluid or water seeps inn 🤣🤣🤣
In Dutch it is the same. Which makes this a rather odd name from a Dutch builder.
Simple elegant design, really nice for fun on the water. Great tour Nick thank you.,
My pleasure!
Too much $$$$$$$ for a very unattractive green decor. I realize it’s customizable but really for hull #1. I could think of better places to spend this kind of dough including better colour. Thanks Nick for the tour of something many ppl don’t particularly like in a day boat.
Notice all the small triple X'es around the boat? They stand for the city of Amsterdam.
O yeah.
Crazy price for a day boat.
Nice boat, but it’s never worth 1.5 mill. You can and should get a lot more for your money.
As a Dutchman I can confirm ''Lekker'' is a stupid name for a boat!
Great boat but I can't stop myself from thinking that with the same money you can buy a 4/5 bedroom country mansion with land and a decent car in the garage 🤔
This is the case with many expensive toys. Sure the money can be used elsewhere, just depends what the rich person wants 😂
I don’t know anything about boats, but I think I would want more boat than that for 1.3 million
1.35m for that ? Really ?
I love it! True, a family wouldn't go away on it...but a single pirate would 😅🫡😆👍... great boat, love the construction
Not impressed with the fit and finish for $1.35 million !
You've got to have more money to last you 20 life times to pay that amount for this boat .
I don't understand... 1.35m... no galley, no real cabins, no nothing.. just a bunch of seats. What am I missing? Horrifically overpriced.
You're missing that that's not what everyone wants. 🙂
The music in the background is annoying😕
These boats are pretty specialist and so have compromises when compared with other 44 foot boats from Galeon, Beneteau or Fairline.....none of which crack 40+ kts!
Galeon 385 GTO with the V12 600 outboards will hit 50knts I think
You can get much better yaghts for 1.3 million this one max worth 750.000 maxxxx
There is a dutch Yacht Builder with a very similar Name 😊, similar but Award winning design, building Aluminium Boats. I was allowed to step on Board, while they were completing it for heading to some Shows in the Med. In my opinion, here you will get a lot of more value for that money. Maybe Nick will do a tour at the Cannes Show in September?????
No offence to the good people at Lekker, Im sure the boat is fabulous but if I had 1.3m++ burning a hole in my pocket Id remind myself that I could get a very recent and lightly used Princess V55, F55, F62 etc or equivalent for the same price and I wont have to worry if the offspring pitch up from Uni for the weekend, each with a couple of pals in tow.
If you want a used V55, that would definitely be a better choice. This is for someone who wants one of these. 🙂
$1.3M can buy you A LOT more boat.
Nice little boat 🚤 the price even when converted just seems very steep
Very nice as a tender for a super yacht. Plenty seats for conveying people ashore or on day trips
Lekker means Delicious in Dutch. As you see we build very practical, beautifull rugged boats. But . . . It must be very delicious 1,35 mm Euro.
We've had nothing but problems with our Lekker boat.
The regular occurrence of breakdowns prevents normal use of the boat and the numerous defects compromise the overall safety of the boat. Our boat was delivered with a faulty engine connection, wrong fuses and no working WiFi to update the boat's software. These should have been caught during the quality assurance process and testing.
We currently deal with electrical issues nearly every time we use the boat. We've had anchor and navigation lights shorting. We've had the bow thruster shorting the last 3 times we've used the boat which requires a mechanic to fix it and it's still an issue.
We've lost all confidence in this boat and it's been a huge stress for our family.
Dutch and Afrikaans is almost the same. Lekker in Afrikaans means "Nice" and in Dutch it means "Tasty". They both have the same meaning in RSA when one sees a beautiful woman.🤣🤣🤣🤣
There's no doubt the quality of finish of many Dutch boats but I've found the ergonomics a bit lacking on quite a few craft....this has struck me as odd since the Dutch are on average pretty tall......and the price...!
My guess is that it's a loud running boat. Because of the aluminum hull and minute amount of insulation. Fit and finish seemed a bit cheap for a $1.4M boat. Unless of course it's boat number one, in which case understandable. 44ft and not separate shower? Even the 32ft Regal has a separate shower, just saying. Overall score, 4 out of 10. Much more complete boats at a considerable discount to this one. IMO of course. Thank you Nick. Great information as usual!
Not impressed with this one frankly. As others have said, there are other more comprehensive boats on the market at that price (Bluegame , fjord etc?). BTW, visited your marina today and saw your boat - incredible condition and gel coat. Sorry you weren’t there especially as it was such a great day on the water ( me, a Botnia Targa owner with the D440 VP). Hope to catch up sometime. Keep the videos coming - so interesting and useful - and fun!
Very clever design, but very expensive. When I'm out on the ocean, I like peace and quiet ~ not a loud, dodgy band deafening me - so rude. Don't they know who you are? A degree of polite reverence would be nice.
Seriously though, it really is a fine craft, and as always, an excellent presentation. Thank you Nick
Bit unfortunate that while 'lekker' is a dutch word meaning 'tasty', it also translates as 'leaker'… 😂 Nice boat, though!
Lekkere review, Nick. Lovely dayboat. Quite expensive though.
Basically just a gigantic centre console layout. Good for pleasure day-boating in sunny weather... not much good for anything else. Not enough sheltered spaces for multi-day cruising... too big for water sports. It would be a miserable ride for everyone on rainy days, cool days, or choppy days.
Wow that is an amazing design and tough build quality- would last decades - ❤
For the naysayers, I’m assigning the client market willing and ABLE to pay almost $1.5 million for this type of boat are probably in the income bracket that the amount of money paid is simply “funny money” and not what the average person with a few million in their bank account would drop or sell a second home to purchase this style of boat. Put it into perspective.
$800,000 worth of welding? lol
Like the boat not so keen on the price lol
Take the $1M off the front of this price and it's still expensive for what you get. Gee whiz. Who buys this?
Really cool boat, but doesn't it seem like the word Yacht should refer to a Yacht? This seems more along the lines of just an extremely expensive runabout, or island hopper.
The 2.5M Pearl 72 is still my favourite Yacht 🛥️👈😎👍✨
Mine too!
A very nice boat. But for 1.35M you could get al lot more value for your money. And as a Dutchie I have to say, what is with the silly name?
Nice basic day boat but almost impossible to justify that price tag. Looks lovely, but also nothing like a £million + boat.
This would be a good boat for drinking wine on.
A calm anchorage would also allow the consumption of Doritos with some dips of lower than usual viscosity.
I would be very intersting to learn how much profit is made with this one. I cant see where they get the $1.35m from? nothing elegant about it, just a simple floater with a decent motor.
Agree with other comments, I’m a boating novice, but the Monaco 110 you showed a few days back seemed a better boat for a third of the price.
1.3 million? I’ll take 3!
Over priced, that's inflation for you, won't sell many.
Hi Nick, Nou dat is lekker deze boot van lekker 😉 looks great with a flag of the city Amsterdam on the side and a good space on the back or in the bow a nice surprise the four bucket seats at the helm a good day boat or weekender with some nice accomodation below sleeps four guest with one head Thank again Nick a beautiful dutch build this time⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
I would maybe buy it for a day charters. As for a family trips in this price range - never.
Haha "Lekker" is a Dutch adjective that means tasty or pleasurable.
I'd rather burn that one million in my fireplace and be a lot more cozy ... albeit briefly, but money well spent
Nice boat but it seems pricey for just a day boat. At 1.5 will get you a Galeon?
Far more space than I'd have expected and beautifully finished too. Surely it's going to be used more for two cabins rather one cabin and a dinette given that there's nothing in the way of a galley? As you say, perfect for a couple (with or without kids) - or a couple of friends - to spend a week on the water. Looks like great fun for sensible money.
The galley is that outside section behind the helm. That lower dinette area is a nice snug space of an evening or somewhere to warm up/cool down as climate controlled.
@@AQUAHOLIC Yeah, I get that - but would you really want to be running up and down with your barbecued food? To me, it makes more sense to eat on deck if it's fine weather or in a local hostelry in the event of rain! Thanks again, Nick - I never even thought about boats before I stumbled upon your channel (heck, I don't even drive a car!), but now I'm hooked. 🙂
That is indeed what most people would do. Glad you're enjoying the channel! 😃 @@thetragicyouth
Great video 👌 Ridiculous price for that boat....
$1.35 million? Great reason to buy an Axopar 45.
finally, I have been waiting for this. Very cool boat.
I like the boat, but it looks the same as a regular sub 50 foot Center console, and for 1.35M, I would expect to see at least two large cabins with a nice finish, a galley, and at least one heads.
Price is nuts 🥜 for what you get including small engines and not even a gyro 🥙
I am using your perfect English to improve mine while having a good time 😀
Greetings from Spain
Very good! 🙂
Don't listen to anyone who says "When you are sat at the helm..."! It should always be "When you are sitting at the helm...", but many Brits constantly use the wrong tense!
I get it's a nice boat, but a bit pricey for a day boat, don't you think?
Beautiful boat although not sure it is suited to UK climate.
That is a beautiful boat! The 3 xxx you see at the boat, is the symbol of Amsterdam. I’m surprised the flag of Amsterdam is at the back of the boat! Lekker means nice or delicious.
Do the three x stand for three kisses?
Not much value for that money. GLws
That bed looks like they just threw a mattress in the corner
It's amazing what they call a "yacht" these days.
Nice boat, though not one I would spend that money on.
It’s a no from me! Not enough speakers!😀🤪
The seams on the headliner visible at 4:30 look a bit ropey.
Nick, looks like it would be a great tender for a superyacht.
Lekker...... Dutch for good or pleasant....
perfect boat and waiting for the first triple outboard boat. Im thinking the 400hp v-10 would be perfect for this yacht
They are already on the market like the De Antonio D42
That is a tasty boat!
Nice for day boating or as you say a Weekender nick fast
I like it! It’s a bit spendy, though innit?
Thanks Nick, great review as always. Seems a little pricey for what it does, but looks well built and such an elegant design. Love the wide, rubber bumper around the aft of the hull. Why don't more builders do that?! There's usually only a single, narrow rubbing strake that's seldom much help when using marina pontoons! lol.
Would make a sweet super yacht tender.
Rocks in your head if you pay that price.
Cool looking boat. I wonder how they'll sound dampen that bare aluminum in their production runs.
Nice weekend boat and maybe a few more days on it.
"Lekker" means yummy in Dutch. But "lek" means leak. Weird name for a boat business. Nice idea but seems somewhat overpriced, and I can also see some issue with fit and finish in your video; for example the telescoping tables have bumps in the surface, ceiling in the cabin seems uneven (actually just looks like sheets of drywall), and fake teak around the engine hatch cover seems to be coming up. For $1.35M I wouldn't expect that. Still an awesome video as always!
Nice, but not for the UK weather.
To be honest, I like your boat better.
Lovely boat with some very stylish and practical touches.
Great tour Nick, thank you.
Nice boat, not worth that much money
It's no Gulf Craft Majesty 175 but if you're the type where money isn't your concern this boat is well designed and built and a fantastic day boat, hell I'd be happy to spend a weekend aboard easy a great boat all around, but when you consider a Galeon 500 Fly is in the same price range as this I'd take the Galeon. A great find none the less Nick thanks for the tour all the best from Cornwall 🤗👌🖖
lekker means tasty in Dutch , prefect name !
Looks like simple but elegant designed boat. But more you explore the more uou realise what a practical compact bo 5:34 at she is. A boat with safety in mind with sturdygrab rail, the rubber band around the outside of the hull. Like the boat can afford the price!!!!
The price of this boat is insane!
Pretty boat with some nice features, but a bit too pricy when you think how much more you get for not much more money with the Galeon 640 or 650. It says a lot when you can show it all so quickly, but would only be in the helm or galley on some other yachts in that time. Would be nice for a weekend boat if you have a lot of disposable income. Thanks as always Nick for the tour. 😊
I was thinking the same thing. You can get a boat with outboards that are very similar to this for a LOT less. I think the Penta's are a bit overkill. I get that it does 40kts but sheesh that price is steep.
Very cool and basic 'Lekker ' translates as 'very nice ' :-)
Actually so much space , main is an easy 2 , other 2+1 , and then upstairs . More than just a good weekender .
