    I have to admit my first thought with great looking Yachts like this is "That doesn't look like it could handle any kind of weather!". As anyone who has had any length of experience with motoring or sailing will tell you. Once you get sufficiently off shore the sea can become extremely choppy. You either endure it (if you are sailing) or hit the stabilisers and endure less of it. You also don't have anything like loose furniture and fittings about the place. Of course the bigger the boat the more weather it takes to affect it. However, while all that glass looks cool. I would be afraid to be standing under that in a storm.

    Absolutely love the solar panel ceilings, much better than any retractable roof system. We need to se this incorporated into more yachts.

    Great your, she is certainly different, all on one level which is great if you have mobility problems.
    The roof is amazing, unique throwing interesting patterns onto the room's décor and furniture.
    The roof adds to the light and the views out with all that glass really makes her feel light and airy. Great tour a nod to the future thanks Nick.

  • @dtutssel

    Really like how they made a feature of those solar panels, and how the roof still lets loads of natural light in. Also nice to see a bookcase in the toilet, it's about time someone realised how useful that is

    Nick! You’ve found me my new home!!! For less than a shoebox apartment in NYC!!!! I 99.99% LOVE this perfect yacht!! -.01%, the VIP head is less than the twin cabins’ heads/shower! But that’s ok since that wouldn’t be my cabin 🤣😂 I love this one!! Perfect for a single person who would have very occasional guests! I love the glass ceilings throughout opening every space up to sky/sun/stars!! With the slide panels/screens to close them off individually! The solar panels offering their own subtle shade! The huge couches so comfy looking! Everything is just perfect! Thanks for the great find and fantastic tour!

    Quite an innovative design approach , love the openness the integrated solar panel glass roof is really nice although I wouldn't be the one to clean it all . An overall fresh concept very modern as you said attempting to move forward from the all yachts tending to look very similar . I really enjoyed this one thanks again Nick for all you do .

    I do love the interior here. It's like being on a starship! I'm not *quite* sold on the overall exteroir appearance, but I do love what's inside! It's got the feel of a 1920s/1930s gentleman's motor yacht for the 21st century. Great find, Nick!

  • @johnschieffelin3226
    @johnschieffelin3226 Год назад +3

    Thanks Nick, fine tour. The Acadia is indeed very light and bright, and the large open air section aft that is mostly shaded is appealing. Not too sure the layout is practical however -- very generous guest quarters for eight, but quite cramped crew quarters for maybe four but more likely two or three. No crew mess whatsoever. Not adequate crew space for a chef, deck hand, captain and engineer. The galley is definitely a one-person space. I wonder if the glass solar panel roof is more than a mere curiosity? I saw two generators in a somewhat densely-packed engine room. Oh well, for the right owner it will be pleasant coastal cruiser.

    • @floodo1
      @floodo1 Год назад

      I get the vibe this is for entertaining where most people won’t be there for meals or sleeping OR something like the coastal cruising you mention, sans dedicated chef (perhaps other crew and family fill the role).
      Definitely more specific and less “practical” than traditional designs!

    I've always felt like I wanted the bigger yachts, but I like the layout on this one, if I changed anything it would be minor and easily doable. I miss seeing a fly-bridge and the extra space, however, one of the other perks of having a setup like this is the ability (possibly) to do the Great Loop. If it is capable of doing the Loop, then losing some of the standard features on boats this size would be worth the tradeoff. I could keep a constant charter just running the Loop with this, very profitable. The price is actually fair for a boat that's only a year old. I'd recommend this boat to a potential buyer.
